Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Work-life balance and Reward System on Turnover Intention and analyze the mediating role of Employee Engagement. This research is quantitative. The type of data used is primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The respondents of this study were millennial and Gen Z employees who worked for digital startup companies in Malang totaling 125 people. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and PLS analysis with the help of the SmartPLS version 4 application. The results of the analysis showed that the effect of WLB, reward system, and employee engagement on turnover intention is significantly negative; and then the effect of WLB, reward system on employee engagement is significantly positive. Variable WLB and Variable reward systems have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention through employee engagement. The assumption that there is a relationship between the four variables in theoretical construction, illustrates a relationship that can explain and describe the practical application and implications for the novelty of human resource management theory in the digital and creative industries. The contribution of these findings may help management implement policies and programs that support a balanced work-life balance to improve employee well-being and productivity and decrease turnover intention.

Abstract

Understanding the impact of top management on South Alabama's construction firms is vital. This study investigates the relationship between specific top management traits, with a focus on gender diversity, and the financial performance of these businesses from 2018 to 2021. Using regression analysis, we assess top management's influence and explore whether board size moderates this relationship. Preliminary findings suggest that larger top management teams have a statistically significant, though negative, effect on corporate performance. The research also underscores the significance of top management's financial background and the presence of women in managerial roles on company performance. This study's uniqueness lies in its exclusive focus on South Alabama's construction industry, providing valuable insights. It assists businesses in making informed decisions about leadership and governance structures for long-term success. Policymakers can benefit by understanding how top management traits and gender diversity affect business success, informing diversity and inclusion initiatives in corporate leadership. Shareholders and investors can gain a deeper understanding of top management's role in performance, aiding investment decisions. Identifying key success factors supports strategic planning to maximize shareholder value. This study offers valuable insights into South Alabama's construction industry, enhancing our understanding of top management's impact on performance. By examining the interplay between top management traits, board dynamics, and company performance, it provides practical insights for improved decision-making, diversity, and long-term industry development.

Abstract

Employee engagement mediates work performance and perceived organisational support in this study. This study examines how perceived organisational support affects job performance, employee engagement, and job performance in shoe SMEs in East Java, as well as whether employee engagement mediates the relationship between the two. Partial Least Squares regression using SmartPLS version 3.0 showed that perceived organisational support directly affected job performance. This suggests that organisational effectiveness improves with perceived support. Employee involvement indirectly impacts job performance. However, the indirect effect is still smaller than the direct effect of perceived organisational support on job performance, indicating that employee engagement owned by company employees cannot mediate the relationship. To boost employee performance, an organisation must increase perceived organisational support. To test model mediation, review employee involvement. Assessing employee performance and organisational support requires further assessments. Employee engagement can be influenced by internal and external influences, unlike many researches.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate an artificial intelligence (AI)-based typing speed test platform for Office Management program students in the Merdeka Curriculum. In the ever-evolving digital era, fast and accurate typing skills are becoming increasingly important both in the workplace and in education. This study follows the Research & Development method with five main steps: initial research, product development, expert validation, small-scale and large-scale trials. The developed platform, called the Typing Speed Test, is designed to provide real-time feedback, performance analysis, and personalized exercises based on user abilities. The trial involved 150 students from various schools in East Java, showing positive results with 90% of students reporting significant improvements in their typing skills. The platform is considered effective in improving typing speed and accuracy and supports the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum which emphasizes independent learning and the development of 21st-century competencies. The integration of AI into the platform allows for dynamic adaptation of learning, making it a modern solution that can be easily integrated into the educational curriculum. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of digital literacy and the potential of AI in providing innovative and effective learning experiences to prepare students for the demands of an increasingly technology-dependent workforce

Abstract

The agricultural sector, especially fisheries, has played an important role in the social and economic development of the Indonesian state, because the indonesian population has a daily life as farmers, and the territory of Indonesia 2/3 is the water area. Mulyoagung Village in Ngantang District is one of the villages located in the area around the Selorejo reservoir. In addition to farming, the main income of the community is dependent on the existence of the Selorejo reservoir, which is catching fish. Fish catches are sold in their unprocessed state to middlemen at a very low price since they lack the knowledge to process fish into various processed foods. Only about a year ago there was an attempt not to sell the fish in its raw condition, but to be sold in a mature state, in the hope that the price would be higher and not be played with by middlemen. By adopting from crispy mushrooms, baby fish is processed in crispy form. Through various trainings and assistance, including training on making crispy various flavors of basic uceng and wader fish, frying techniques, oil slicer techniques, product packaging as well as labeling and marketing, There has been steady growth in both the quantity and quality of this business, and it is now even being exported off the island.

Abstract

In Mergosono Village, the program for using terraces to grow crops was carried out more than 5 years ago, through an “urban farming” program led by PKK women. There were more than 50 mothers who were involved in this activity. Through urban farming, each house is recommended to plant more than 10 potted plants, with various kinds of plants, such as: chilies, tomatoes, cabbage, eggplant, pok cay, mustard greens, and flowers. At first this activity only aimed to maintain the beauty of the village, so that it remains beautiful, but gradually it can be used to meet daily food needs, especially vegetables and "empon-empon". Even though this activity has been going on for more than 5 years, there are still many obstacles that they face, including: 1) PKK women are still not able to make special planting models for limited land, be it hydroponics or verticulture, therefore only polybag or pot models; 2) it is difficult to make a fertile planting medium, it seems that there are some plants that grow less healthy; 2) have not been able to create their own nurseries and have difficulty moving plants from the nursery box to pots or polybags; 3) have not been able to make environmentally friendly fertilizers (organic or compost); 4) have not mastered how to fertilize and when to fertilize properly; 5) do not understand good plant care techniques, do not know plant pests, and eradicate them, how to handle weeds). Therefore, assistance is needed to solve these problems in the form of technology transfer through training activities, mentoring, demonstration plots or direct practice.

Abstract

During this pandemic, teachers are required to be more creative and innovative in carrying out learning. It is still very rare for teachers to use the computer for the purpose of improving learning, let alone using Powerpoint-based learning media with various applications. Facts on the ground, namely in Cluster 6 Blimbing do not have sufficient competence in operating the tools available in Microsoft Office Powerpoint. Based on this, a learning media workshop is needed that is able to support this, does not require high specifications for laptop devices, and provides easy access guidebooks for educators. Powerpoint is an application that easily bridges users in designing various types of creative learning materials. In particular, PowerPoint has new features that can make it easier for educators to create media slides for presentations, learning videos, lesson plans, integration with virtual classroom platforms that support creativity and collaboration, etc. There are several specific activities that will be carried out to overcome the above problems through this Community Service, namely: 1) providing interactive learning media guidebooks to elementary school teachers; 2) holding a workshop “Development of Learning Media for Elementary School Teachers Using PowerPoint and Slidesgo”; and 3) Make a video tutorial "Development of Learning Media for Elementary School Teachers Using Interactive Learning Media".
