Abstract

ABSTRAK Penggunaan bahasa Inggris untuk pariwisata dapat menarik turis mancanegara untuk mengunjungi sebuah tempat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam berbahasa Inggris komunitas penggiat pariwisata di Kampung Adat Kranggan. Kegiatan ini berjudul English for Tourism dan dilakukan di kantor Kelurahan Jati Rangga. 20 peserta hadir dalam kegiatan ini yang terdiri dari warga sipil, PNS, dan berbagai elemen masyarakat yang ingin meningkatkan kualitas wisata di daerah Jati Rangga. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahap. Tahapan pertama, para peserta diberikan presentasi mengenai kegunaan bahasa Inggris untuk membantu komunikasi dengan turis mancanegara. Tahapan kedua, para peserta diberikan presentasi mengenai frase-frase yang diperlukan ketika menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk pariwisata. Tahapan ketiga, para peserta berlatih menggunakan frase-frase yang baru diajarkan dengan satu sama lain. Tahapan terakhir dipantau oleh pemateri untuk melihat penggunaan bahasa Inggris para peserta. Melalui survei yang dilakukan, mayoritas peserta memiliki pendapat yang positif mengenai kegiatan ini. Selain itu, materi yang diberikan juga dianggap sesuai. Namun, para peserta berharap kegiatan ini dapat dilakukan lebih sering sehingga mereka bisa menggunakan bahasa Inggris kepada turis mancanegara dengan lebih baik. ABSTRACTThe use of English for tourism can attract tourists from different countries to visit a place. The present event aims to improve the English skills of a group of participants to communicate in English. The present event is titled English for Tourism and was conducted in a district office of Jati Rangga. The present event was attended by 20 participants. They consist of various stakeholders from people, civil servants, and different elements of society which are eager to improve the condition of tourism in Jati Rangga. There are three stages in order to conduct this research. The objectives of the first stage is to present the benefits of English toward tourism as it allows people to communicate with tourist from abroad. In the second stage, the participants were given a presentation about phrases that can be used to communicate with tourists. The last stage was practicing the phrases recently taught. This stage was monitored by the presenter. According to the survey held in the end of the event, most of the participants had positive perceptions toward the event. Nevertheless, the participants hoped for further events that can be held more often so that they can use English for tourism fluently.

Abstract

Cultivating maggot is a business of cultivating organic waste materials. The maggot cultivation business is very promising for making profits, so it is necessary to pay attention to determining the right selling price. The purpose of community service is to provide training on how to determine the maggot selling price by calculating the cost of production and mark up. This method starts from planning with problem identification, conducting training on selling price determination and evaluation. The results and discussion of this community service activity are given training and hands-on practice on how to determine the selling price. This activity was also attended by maggot cultivation entrepreneurs. So that entrepreneurs can find out the benefits obtained independently.

Abstract

Masalah: Partisipasi pemuda dalam berolahraga memiliki potensi yang sangat besar dalam perkembangan usianya. Secara umum diyakini bahwa melalui olahraga, anak-anak dan remaja belajar nilai dan keterampilan itu akan melayani mereka dengan baik ketika mereka mempersiapkan diri untuk sisa hidup mereka. Sayangnya, banyak program tidak terstruktur dengan baik atau diimplementasikan sedemikian rupa, sehingga kecakapan hidup yang bisa dipelajari dalam olahraga dipindahkan ke domain kecakapan lainnya. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dari teamwork, social skills, goal setting, leadership, problem solving and decision making, interpersonal communication, emotional skills, dan time management dengan kecakapan hidup atlet softball. Metode: Responden terdiri dari 174 orang atlet remaja putra dan putri berusia dibawah 21 tahun di Indonesia yang aktif berlatih dan bertanding. Ini merupakan penelitian deskriftif dengan survey analisis, Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kecakapan hidup dalam bidang olahraga ini yaitu menggunakan Life Skills Scale for Sport (LSSS) yang dikembangkan untuk menilai delapan variabel di atas. Hasil: Analisis korelasi kecakapan hidup, dalam cabang olahraga softball menunjukan terdapat dua variabel yang memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dengan kecakapan hidup yaitu variabel kepemimpinan dan komunikasi interpersonal, lima variabel memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan kecakapan hidup yaitu variabel kerjasama tim, goal setting, manajemen waktu, kecerdasan emosional, dan kecakapan sosial, serta varibel dengan hubungan yang cukup kuat yaitu pengambilan keputusan. Kesimpulan: Teamwork, social skills, goal setting, leadership, problem solving and decision making, interpersonal communication, emotional skills, dan time management memiliki hubungan positif dengan kecakapan hidup atlet softball.

Abstract

Early specialization in sports for young elite athletes was undertaken for a variety of positive reasons, but it also can lead to increased vulnerability to injury, burnout, limited skill development, and negative effects on mental well-being as a result of intense training from a young age. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age of sport specialization and training components to the achievements. This was a correlational survey and a cross-sectional approach to elite athletes in the city of Bandung. The sample for this study consisted of 84 high-level athletes who competed in 27 different sports and were eligible for athlete incentives from the government. Athletes were surveyed using a questionnaire to answer questions about their debut age, training frequency, duration, intensity, and highest championship achievement. The results of bivariate analysis showed that age, gender, age of specialization, duration of exercise, and intensity of exercise were not related to sports achievement. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it was known that the frequency of exercise was significantly correlated with sports achievement. Compared to athletes who train less than five times per week, athletes who train more than five times per week were found to have higher performance. Future possible research will assist in identifying the success factors of young athletes who begin sports specialisation at a young age.

Abstract

Sports-based tourism can potentially be a tourism product that can provide high economic benefits for a region or even a country. Several types of sports tourism in Sumedang have the potential to be developed, but the local government needs to increase its budget for its development. The purpose of this study is to explore sports tourism, which has the most significant potential for the development of sports tourism, economic quality, regional image and human resources. The method used in this study is qualitative, with using the concepts of Marketability, Sustainability, Participatory, and Disaster Mitigation Management (MSPDM). The results of this study indicate that the marketing indicators of Golf are 100%, paragliding 93%, rafting 80%, and the rest are 50% - 60% each. In the sustainability indicator, paragliding is 96%, golf is 88%, rafting is 68%, and the rest is 48% -56%. In the participant indicator, paragliding 85%, rafting 70%, Golf 55%, and the rest 45% -50%. In the disaster mitigation indicator, paragliding is 100%, rafting is 90%, golf is 70%, and the rest is 40% each. The conclusion of this study shows that 3 potential sports tours were selected with the highest ranking, including Paragliding, Golf and Rafting.

Abstract

For teachers, digital literacy is an important ability and skill to master. One form of digital literacy that is increasingly relevant is the ability to make animated videos. However, many teachers may not yet have the skills in using Plotagon or making animated videos in general. Therefore, special training is needed to improve the digital literacy of teachers at Dharma Amiruhur High School, especially in terms of making Plotagon-assisted animation videos. This service was carried out by a team of service from Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, the service partner is SMA Dharma Amiluhur with participants being teachers at SMA Dharma Amiluhur totaling 12 people. The approach used is an active participation, activity orientation, program, and independence approach. The results of the service show that the implementation also shows that the success of the implementation of the service. The success can also be seen from the average results obtained showing that ≥80% of participants have knowledge and understanding related to Plotagon animation videos. This service made the teachers of SMA Dharma Amiluhur as participants helped in the implementation of learning.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Cendekia Abditama tahun 2025 di Desa Caringin bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat melalui lima pilar, yaitu pendidikan, kesehatan, keagamaan, ekonomi, serta sosial dan lingkungan. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), Experiential Learning, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), dan Cooperative Learning yang menekankan pada partisipasi aktif dan pembelajaran kontekstual. Kegiatan utama meliputi pendampingan posyandu, edukasi Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), pelatihan guru PAUD, program Calistung Ramah Anak, pembelajaran TPA, lomba keagamaan, seminar dan pendampingan UMKM, sosialisasi literasi digital, penataan sudut literasi, serta distribusi sarana prasarana pendidikan dan kebersihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kesehatan, penguatan kompetensi pedagogik guru, peningkatan motivasi belajar anak, modernisasi usaha UMKM melalui legalitas dan digitalisasi, serta tumbuhnya budaya literasi dan kepedulian sosial. Kendala yang dihadapi mencakup keterbatasan waktu pelaksanaan dan fluktuasi partisipasi masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan, program KKN berhasil memperkuat sinergi mahasiswa dan masyarakat serta memberikan dampak nyata dan berkelanjutan dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat Desa Caringin.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine how corporate governance mechanisms (Board of Directors’ expertise and size, and Audit Committee expertise and size) along with sustainability reporting practices, affect the financial performance of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2023. Methodology/approach: Using purposive sampling, we selected F&B firms that published comprehensive financial and sustainability reports over the three-year period. Secondary data were collected from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website (www.idx.co.id) and analyzed with multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Results/findings: Board expertise showed a significant negative effect on both ROA and ROE, while board size had no significant impact. Audit committee expertise did not influence either performance measure, but audit committee size had a significant positive effect on both ROA and ROE. Sustainability reporting practice was not significantly related to firm performance. Conlcusion: These findings confirm that the effectiveness of governance and sustainability reporting heavily depends on the quality of implementation and regulatory context, not just formal compliance. The implication is that companies need to prioritize the effectiveness and independence of the board, while regulators are encouraged to develop more substantive sustainability disclosure standards. Limitations: The study is limited to food and beverage companies that publish complete financial and sustainability data, which may restrict the generalizability of the results to other sectors or firms with less transparency. Contribution: By highlighting the differing impacts of governance characteristics on firm performance, this research informs corporate governance policy and practice in the F&B industry. It offers guidance to regulators, board members, and investors on optimizing board and committee structures to enhance financial performance.

Abstract

Indonesia hosted the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup (FBWC), which encourages the development of basketball clubs in the country, including Senusa Basketball Club in South Tangerang. Despite its achievements, the club does not have an effective means of communication, which hinders the dissemination of information and interaction with the community. Therefore, UI/UX design is needed that can increase the effectiveness of information services and strengthen club branding. This research aims to design a UI/UX that reflects the club's visual identity and provides promotional support media. This design is limited to prototyping using Figma without covering technical implementation. This design considers aspects of usability, navigation, visual design, content, compatibility, functionality, accessibility, and interactivity. The results of this design are expected to provide an optimal user experience and become a reference for the development of digital platforms in the field of sports.
