Abstract

This study aims to improve the argumentative text writing skills of Grade XII B3 students at SMA Negeri 15 Semarang through Collaborative Learning using the Jigsaw model and Peer Feedback. The research adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach. The subjects of the study were 33 regular students in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' writing skills. The initial average score was 60.9, with a mastery level of 39.39% (13 students achieving mastery). After the first cycle, the average score increased to 79.8, with a mastery level of 63.63% (21 students achieving mastery). By the second cycle, the average score reached 84.8, with a mastery level of 78.79% (26 students achieving mastery). These improvements reflect the effectiveness of the Jigsaw model in fostering collaboration and the role of Peer Feedback in providing constructive responses. The findings suggest that collaborative learning enhances critical thinking, self-confidence, and writing skills among students. This model also strengthens interactions among students through group collaboration and intensive discussions. The study recommends the application of Collaborative Learning models in other subjects to promote the development of 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Abstract

While existing scholarship on Fadwā Ṭūqān has extensively examined nationalist and feminist discourses, limited attention has been paid to the ecological dimensions inherent in her resistant poetry. This study investigates the potential of resistant poetry as a medium for articulating ecological theology through an integrated framework combining ecotheology, intertextuality, and green hermeneutics. Employing a qualitative hermeneutic design, the research conducts a close reading of two poems, Shaʿlah al-Ḥarb and Ḥilm al-Dhikrā, utilizing a four-stage analytical procedure: identifying ecological imagery, mapping intertextual symbolic patterns, interpreting theological meaning, and contextualizing resistance discourse. Analysis demonstrates that intertextual mapping reconfigures natural imagery from mere political metaphor to active theological witnesses (āyāt) that respond to environmental degradation. The poetic structure of al-intiqāl al-fannī (artistic transition) operates as a form of ecological daʿwah (moral-environmental call), while the concept of waḥy (divine manifestation) is reinterpreted to frame nature as a site of theological revelation. The study concludes that ecological theology in Arabic resistance literature constitutes an authentic manifestation of al-ʿamal al-īmānī (faith-based ethical action) against systematic environmental injustice. Its contribution lies in developing an interdisciplinary methodology that bridges theological, literary, and environmental perspectives, positioning Arabic resistant poetry as a theological maʿrūf (recognized moral discourse) within global environmental humanities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Appreciative Inquiry (AI) based on the local wisdom of traditional Islamic boarding schools (pesantren salaf) as a strategy to improve the quality of sustainable education. The study uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design conducted at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Asy-Syafi’iyyah Darul Qur’an. The ethnographic approach is used to capture in depth the daily practices, cultural values, and the underlying meaning in the formation and maintenance of educational quality in the life of the pesantren. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies involving key informants, including the guiding clerics (kiai), pesantren administrators, senior religious teachers (guru ngaji), and senior students (santri). Data analysis was carried out interactively through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, extended researcher participation in the field, as well as member checking. The study results show that the quality of education in traditional Islamic boarding schools (pesantren salaf) is not understood as adherence to formal standards, but rather as a form of collective reflective awareness rooted in the tradition of kitab discussions, halaqah, the exemplary leadership of kiais, the value of sincerity, and khidmah. Appreciative Inquiry does not appear as a formal managerial model, but transforms into a covert cultural practice that integrates into the social structure of the pesantren, thus allowing quality improvement to occur contextually, evolutionarily, and sustainably without provoking cultural resistance. This study contributes to the development of Islamic education quality management discourse by offering a quality improvement model that is sensitive to local culture and aligns with the identity of traditional pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the shift of accountability for the quality of Islamic education into the digital public sphere through citizen journalism practices and the dynamics of social media sentiment. The research uses a qualitative approach with an interpretative paradigm and employs descriptive-analytical research methods. Data were collected through digital observation (netnography), documentation of social media content, in-depth interviews with pesantren leaders, social media managers, parents of students, and alumni, as well as literature studies. Data analysis was conducted thematically, combined with qualitative sentiment analysis. Meanwhile, the validity of the data was maintained through source and data triangulation. The research results show that social media has become a social evaluation mechanism that influences the formation of perceptions, trust, and the reputation of Islamic educational institutions. Experience-based citizen journalism practices encourage transparency, public participation, and more open accountability, where institutional legitimacy no longer rests solely on administrative aspects, but on the construction of collective opinion in the digital space. This study contributes to strengthening the perspective of social accountability in the management of the quality of Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate and test an Islamic hybrid model to achieve sustainable development, through an in-depth analysis of the value integration mechanism, prerequisite conditions for the effectiveness of model implementation, and the determination of success indicators that measure the independence of governance and the economic sustainability of Islamic boarding schools. This model is formulated through four main components: Islamic financial governance, strengthening economic institutions, a digital accountability system, and integrative leadership, with success indicators including Islamic compliance, financial independence, institutional sustainability, and increased public trust. The study used a single qualitative case study at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with kiai (Islamic scholars), administrators, students, and stakeholders, participant observation, and institutional document analysis. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods, as well as prolonged engagement. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of structured tawarruq is able to maintain sharia compliance while increasing the liquidity of Islamic boarding schools, and the Waqf-Holding scheme plays a role in creating long-term financial stability. The use of digital traceability strengthens transparency and donor trust, while the Kyai-Preneur leadership pattern has proven effective in synergizing spiritual authority with managerial competence. The contribution of this study lies in the novelty of the Hybrid Islamic Model as an integrative conceptual framework for tarbiyah-good governance that is applicable in realizing the independence and sustainability of Islamic boarding schools in the modern era.

Abstract

The global crisis has brought about fundamental changes in teaching methods, forcing the education system to adapt quickly and effectively. Many institutions face challenges such as unequal access to technology, inadequate infrastructure, and varying teacher readiness, which leads to disparities in the quality of learning. This study examines the application of benchmarking practices as a strategy to improve the quality of learning in the midst of crisis conditions. Through an in-depth analysis of SMK Negeri Darul Ulum Muncar, the study found that by adopting innovative teaching methods that have proven successful in other institutions, educational institutions can improve student engagement and academic achievement. The descriptive and qualitative approach applied allows for an in-depth understanding of the strategies used. The results show that the application of the best practices model adaptively not only maintains educational standards, but also encourages innovation in teaching methods. In addition, this study emphasizes the importance of building sustainable education system resilience to face future challenges. These findings are expected to provide guidance for stakeholders in implementing benchmarking as part of a sustainable improvement strategy, so that the quality of education is maintained in an uncertain crisis era.

Abstract

This research aims to find a model of pesantren quality assurance system that impacts improving branding in the era of society 5.0. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type with an interactive analysis of three models. The research results show that in the era of society 5.0, pesantren as educational institutions require branding using a quality assurance system like non-pesantren educational institutions because the current academic competition does not only rely on the unique characteristics that characterize pesantren but also builds a quality assurance system so that quality targets are achieved. According to or exceeding national education standards, it can be measured, as is done by the Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi, which is a model for Islamic educational institutions that focus on improving quality as innovation and capital to compete at national and international levels.
