Abstract

This research is a development instrument based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). This Studi aims to analyze and produce an instrument of critical thinking competence based on ESD students thai is valid, reliable, level of difficulty, and the level that corresponds to the item. The test of the instrument was multiplied by 75 students in high class at SDN 1 Jayaraga, Garut. The data collection instrument in this study was in the form of 15 multiple choice test question and 25 communicatioan questionnaires. The discussion during the research in the form of FGD (Forum Group Discussion). Then the two instruments are said to reliable as evidenced by Cronbach alpha value was 7 questions, the questionnaire was 13 statements tha were approved by the respondents. Then the analysis of the suitability level with the calculation of the logit and value on the MNSQ outfit is close to 1, the ZSTD outfit is close to 0, and the Pt Mean Corr is close to 0 that there is no instrument that needs to be changed or repaired.

Abstract

In this modern era, human needs are affected by various activities that often damage the environment and disrupt the balance between population and natural resources, thus threatening the availability of food and nutrition. Indonesia faces a significant hunger problem, ranking third highest in Southeast Asia in 2021. The SDG's by the United Nations targets to end hunger, improve food security and balanced nutrition. Learning that contains SDG's needs to be applied from an early age, especially since children step on elementary school. In teaching something, especially to elementary school children, it is necessary to use media as a communication tool, the SDG's based Mobile Learning application is considered effective in teaching these values in an interesting and interactive way. Therefore, this study focuses on analyzing the needs for the development of Mobile Learning applications containing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) theme of Zero Hunger for elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through documentation studies and interviews with educators in Ciamis Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, and Tasikmalaya City. The results of the interview show that the use of digital media in the form of Mobile Learning applications in learning is welcomed by educators and students, especially visual and audio-visual media. However, knowledge about the SDG's and Zero Hunger theme is still lacking among educators and learners. In the development of an application, it is expected to be able to explain the concept of the SDG's and the Zero Hunger theme in detail and easy to understand, with content that includes E-Modules, E-LKPD, assessments, and additional features such as games to attract students' interest. The designed app should also pay attention to an attractive design that is easy for children to use. This research provides guidance for learning media developers and encourages innovations in technology-based learning methods that can be widely applied.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis STEM yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas IV SD mengenai konsep gaya. Aplikasi ini mengintegrasikan simulasi interaktif, eksperimen virtual, video pembelajaran, dan panduan bagi guru untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik dan aplikatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan guru, observasi respons siswa, dan penilaian dari ahli materi serta media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap berbagai konsep gaya, seperti gravitasi, gaya gesek, dan gaya dorong. Guru melaporkan peningkatan keterlibatan dan rasa percaya diri siswa, dengan 85% siswa merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menjawab pertanyaan terkait topik tersebut. Namun, beberapa tantangan terkait keterbatasan akses internet di beberapa daerah ditemukan. Evaluator ahli memberikan penilaian positif terhadap aplikasi ini, terutama terkait kesesuaian dengan kurikulum, kemudahan penggunaan, dan relevansinya dengan pembelajaran STEM. Secara keseluruhan, aplikasi ini memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan pendidikan STEM di tingkat dasar, dengan pengembangan lebih lanjut yang diperlukan untuk mengatasi masalah aksesibilitas.

Abstract

Technological developments in education have encouraged the use of digital media in learning, including in elementary schools. One of the innovations used is Educaplay, a gamification-based platform designed to increase student engagement in the learning process. However, the effectiveness of Educaplay in improving students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills still needs to be studied further. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Educaplay in primary school learning and its impact on students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. This study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory descriptive design. Data were collected through interviews with teachers and students, classroom observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on the Miles and Huberman method. The results showed that the use of Educaplay was able to increase students' involvement and motivation in learning. Analysis of pretests and posttests revealed a significant increase in conceptual understanding in students who used Educaplay compared to conventional methods. In addition, the platform supports the implementation of instructional differentiation and assists teachers in monitoring student progress in real-time. However, the implementation of Educaplay faces challenges, such as limited infrastructure and teachers' lack of digital literacy. Therefore, training for educators and improving access to technology are needed to maximize the effectiveness of digital-based learning in primary schools.

Abstract

The low science literacy of students in Indonesia is a challenge in education, especially at the elementary school level. Science literacy plays an important role in developing critical thinking skills, problem solving, and understanding of scientific and technological phenomena. However, PISA results show that Indonesian students' science literacy scores are below the international average. Factors that contribute to this condition include the lack of interesting learning media, the use of conventional methods, and the lack of technology integration in science learning. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the need for interactive learning media to improve the science literacy of elementary school students. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with teachers and students in Cigugur Sub-district, Pangandaran Regency, to understand their experiences, constraints and expectations of interactive learning media. The results showed that students are more interested in digital-based interactive media, such as video animation, educational games, and interactive simulations. Teachers also recognize that the use of digital media can improve students' understanding and motivation to learn, although they face constraints such as lack of training and access to adequate digital devices. These findings indicate the need for development and training in the use of digital media that is easily accessible and applicable in the classroom, to support the continuous improvement of science literacy at the primary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of Articulate Storyline media on the human respiratory system material in Class V of SDN 3 Sukamenak. This study employs a qualitative approach with a Design-Based Research (DBR) method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The study involved 1 material expert and 1 media expert as validators, 1 classroom teacher as a respondent, and 31 fifth-grade students as participants. The results of the material expert validation showed a percentage of 94.05% in the "very valid" category, while the media expert validation obtained a percentage of 92.5%, also categorized as "very valid." The teacher's response to the media reached 84.62%, indicating a "good" category, while the students' response was 78.87%, also falling into the "good" category. These results indicate that the Articulate Storyline media on the human respiratory system is not only feasible for use as a learning tool but also has strong potential to enhance students' creative thinking skills. This media provides an interactive and engaging learning experience that supports the achievement of learning objectives more effectively.

Abstract

AbstractInformation on students' ability in higher-order thinking obtained during the learning process can certainly provide an overview for teachers to evaluate appropriate and effective learning. In this context, how can a teacher properly carry out diagnostic and remedial teaching based on the information on student abilities obtained? Therefore, this study aims to provide a disclosure analysis technique for the acquisition of students' abilities in higher-order thinking. This research is one of the stages of Design-Based Research (DBR), which is a reflection to produce design principles and perfect their implementation. Determination of the research sample is done by using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection of students' ability in higher-order thinking was done through HOTS-based test questions developed based on the cognitive hierarchy adopted from Bloom's taxonomy. The results of the acquisition of students' abilities in higher-order thinking were then analyzed through Rasch modeling with the help of the Winsteps 3.75 application. Based on the results of Rasch modeling, it was obtained that the students' abilities were grouped into high, medium, and low categories and had a level of suitability of abilities that did not need to be reviewed, and there were no biased student abilities. The results of data processing and analysis of students' ability in higher-order thinking have implications for teacher actions in carrying out appropriate and effective learning evaluations as well as mapping students' abilities in higher-order thinking with unbiased conformity.Keywords: student ability, HOTS-based test questions, rasch modeling. AbstrakInformasi kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi yang diperoleh selama proses pembelajaran tentunya dapat memberikan gambaran bagi guru untuk melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran yang tepat dan efektif. Dalam konteks tersebut, bagaimana seorang guru dapat secara tepat melakukan diagnostic and remedial teaching berdasarkan informasi kemampuan siswa yang diperoleh?. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan teknik analisis pengungkapan pemerolehan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu tahapan dari Desain Based Reaserch (DBR), yakni refleksi untuk menghasilkan prinsip-prinsip desain dan menyempurnakan implementasinya. Penentuan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi dilakukan melalui pengerjaan soal tes berbasis HOTS yang dikembangkan berdasarkan hirarki kognitif yang diadopsi dari taksonomi Bloom. Hasil pemerolehan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi kemudian dianalisis melalui pemodelan rasch dengan berbantuan aplikasi winsteps 3.75. Berdasarkan hasil pemodelan Rasch diperolehlah pengelompokkan kemampuan siswa dengan kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah serta memiliki tingkat kesesuaian kemampuan yang tidak perlu ditinjau ulang dan tidak terdapat kemampuan siswa yang bias. Hasil pengolahan dan analisis data kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi berimplikasi pada tindakan guru dalam melaksanakan evaluasi pembelajaran yang tepat dan efektif serta pemetaan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kesesuaian yang tidak bias.Kata kunci: kemampuan siswa, soal tes berbasais HOTS, pemodelan rasch.

Abstract

Dalam perjalanan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Maju mundurnya suatu negara sedikit banyak ditentukan oleh pemikiran dan kontribusi aktif dari pemuda di negara tersebut. Namun, realitanya pemuda khususnya Desa Sirnagalih belum semuanya berdaya bahkan tidak sedikit yang menganggur apalagi menghadapi persaingan Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA). Melihat urgensi di atas, maka pemberdayaan pemuda melalui beternak lele "Sangkuriang" dapat dijadikan sarana dalam menghadapi persaingan Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA). Adapun target luaran dari pengabdian ini adalah: 1) terbentuknya pengembangan usaha di bidang peternakan lele "Sangkuriang" menjadi penopang kesejahteraan pemuda; 2) motivasi wirausaha pemuda Karang Taruna Desa Sirnagalih meningkat; 3) terbangunnya networking atau jaringan dengan pihak lain dalam kerjasama bisnis dan pemasaran; 4) terbangunnya sarana prasarana pendukung usaha beternak lele "Sangkuriang"; 5) terlaksananya pendidikan dan pelatihan pengelolaan administrasi karang taruna sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemuda Karang Taruna Desa Sirnagalih; 6) terbentuknya Anggaran Dasar dan Anggaran Rumah Tangga (AD/ART) Karang Taruna Desa Sirnagalih sebagai landasan kegiatan organisasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini lebih mengarah pada pemberdayaan pemuda melalui kegiatan pelatihan beternak lele "Sangkuriang" yang berorientasi peningkatan skill pemuda dalam menghadapi persaingan  (MEA).

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is frequently dominated by traditional, teacher-centered instruction that fails to systematically cultivate students' 21st-century competencies, particularly critical thinking skills. While ethnoscience and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) offer powerful contextual frameworks, previous research often addresses them in isolation, leaving a critical gap in integrated instructional designs that are rooted in empirical field needs. This study aims to analyze teacher needs regarding the development of an integrated Ethno-ESD science module to strategically strengthen critical thinking in primary education. Operating within the initial analysis phase of a design-based research (DBR) framework, this study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with two grade IV public elementary school teachers selected via purposive sampling. The thematic analysis revealed distinct categories of structural needs: (1) a shift from rote-memorization tasks toward structured problem-based inquiry, (2) the systematic integration of local cultural contexts—specifically traditional palm sugar production—as core learning frameworks rather than incidental examples, and (3) the inclusion of explicit critical thinking rubrics and argumentation tasks. These findings provide an empirical foundation and design specifications for developing actionable Ethno-ESD learning modules in the subsequent phase of research.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk mencapai tujuan SDGs menjamin ketersediaan dan pengelolaan air bersih dan sanitasi yang berkelanjutan untuk semua dapat diimplementasikan melalui pembelajaran di sekolah dengan memuat SDGs tema air bersih dan sanitasi layak serta dengan mengintegrasikan tiga pilar ESD yaitu lingkungan, ekonomi, dan sosial agar siswa memiliki kesadaran untuk menjaga lingkungan dan kehidupan disekitarnya. Agar pembelajaran dapat berjalan dengan maksimal, tentunya harus didukung dengan adanya perangkat pembelajaran salah satunya LKPD yang dikemas secara elektronik atau E-LKPD. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pengembangan E-LKPD bermuatan SDGs tema air bersih dan sanitasi layak di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 5 orang guru dan 3 orang siswa sekolah dasar di kota Tasikmalaya. Analisis ini meliputi analisis LKPD, analisis hasil wawancara siswa, dan analisis hasil wawancara guru. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru jarang mengembangkan LKPD dan LKPD yang digunakan siswa dalam belajar masih berbentuk cetak yang berasal dari buku atau mengunduh dari internet dan aplikasi PMM serta belum ada LKPD bermuatan SDGs tema air bersih dan sanitasi layak.
