Abstract

Guidance and counselling in Indonesia was a relatively young profession. As a new comer profession it has many missled and misconducted, one of them was misunderstanding about guidance and counselling rofession as a static profession. The consequence was the survices of guidance and counseling uncontextual, unfullfil the needs and hopes of society. The aim of this article enlighted the canging of guidance and counselling paradigm from the past, present, and future. On the past school counselling services driven counselling, consultation, and coordination. Now, guidance and counselling should be proactively survices that was leadership, advocacy, teaming and collaboration, assessment and use of data, and technology. On the future intentional and purposefull school counselling program was aligned and integrated with the educational interprise. Abstract

Guidance and counseling in Indonesia’s school had developed for aproximately thirty five years. On those periode the development of guidance and counseling was not always had impact positively. The image of guidance and counseling in school was become dark, and school counselor was considered identical as school police were the kinds of the negatively development. One of the reason was school counselor’s roles had been forgeted, that was school counselor as a counselor, school counselor as a consultant, school counselor as a change agent, school counselor as a primary prevention agent, and school counselor as a manager. Based on those facts therefore the revitalization of the school counselor’s roles, that begun with internal initiative to carry out guidance and counseling proportionally, then strove for the understanding and reforming externally, and to increase school counselor’s skills continually, would improve school counselor’s role that were expected would carry out his roles professionally, so guidance and counseling in school would bright again.Keywords: Revitalization; Scool Counselor’s Roles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan supervisi Sekolah Dasar gugus III Sentolo Kulon Progo dan meningkatkan kinerja guru meliputi: (a) unsur-unsur, (b) prinsip dan teknik, (c) tindak lanjut, (d) pendukung dan penghambat, dan (e) upaya mengatasi hambatan supervisi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, subjek penelitian  adalah kepala sekolah dasar di gugus III Kecamatan Sentolo Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan memperpanjang waktu penelitian, triangulasi data, member cheeking. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian: menunjukkan bahwa: (a) supervisi akademik meliputi perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan penilaian pembelajaran; (b) prinsip-prinsip supervisi akademik meliputi: praktis, objektif, humanis, kooperatif, keke-luargaan, demokratis, komprehensif, prinsip berkesimbungan belum dilaksanakan, teknik dalam supervisi invidual dan kelompok; (c) tindak lanjut supervisi belum dilakukan dengan optimal, (d) pendukung supervisi kesediaan guru disupervisi, jadwal, seprofesi, kendala supervisi guru terbebani dan banyaknya kegiatan kepala sekolah; (e) upaya memberikan pemahaman supervisi akademik sebagai kebutuhan guru dan jadwal supervisi efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan motivasi yang didesain melalui lima tahap yaitu training need assessment, training priorities, training design, training management, dan training evaluation dengan memberikan materi pada aspek kognitif, emosi dan spiritual untuk menurunkan tingkat stres siswa dalam menghadapi ujian nasional pada kelas VI SDN Tahunan Umbulharjo. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan eksperimen semu ini menggunakan model two group pretest-posttest design. Dilakukan pada tanggal 28 April 2012. Populasi 47 siswa, dengan sampel pada kelompok kontrol 22 siswa dan kelompok eksperimen 25 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tentang tingkat stres siswa yang dibagikan kepada siswa dan orangtua, serta wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik parametrik paired samples t-test, dan diperoleh skor t 3.944, signifikansi sebesar 0,001. Skor rerata kondisi stres kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol sebesar 4,5. Karena signifikansi hitung 0,001 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan motivasi efektif menurunkan tingkat stres siswa kelas VI SDN Tahunan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta dalam menghadapi ujian nasional. Kata Kunci: stres, Ujian Nasional SD, pelatihan motivasi.

Abstract

The study aims at developing a scientific-based pictorial storybook with PjBL method for improving the critical thinking skills of the elementary school students. The research and development initiative refer to the design of Borg Gall with 10 stages of test. Then, during the conduct of the study the data were gathered by means of product assessment sheet, teacher response questionnaire, student response questionnaire and critical thinking skills test. For the data analysis, the data were analysed by means of paired t-test with significance rate 5%. The results of the study show that the scientific-based pictorial storybook with PjBL method has been feasible for improving the critical thinking skills of the elementary school students. Based on the paired t-test results with the significance rate 5% (sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 α = 0.05), after the implementation the critical thinking skills of the students increase significantly.

Abstract

Academic burnout in elementary school students is very important to note because in this elementary school all academic experience will be formed. Failure to experience education in elementary schools properly will have a wide and disparate impact on the lives of students. This study aims to reduce the academic burnout experienced by elementary school students. For this reason, collaborative action research is conducted between teachers and researchers. Collaborative research, since planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating, as well as reflection is carried out jointly between teachers and researchers. The study subjects were five low-grade students who showed symptoms of experiencing academic burnout. Application of group activities as actions in the form of three games for students, namely picture puzzles, serialized stories, and throwing balls. Observation and interview as the main technique in collecting data. Qualitative analysis is used to analyze the process and results of actions. The results showed that the application of group activities was effective in reducing the academic burnout of five research subjects. All students showed positive changes in behavior, no longer showing symptoms of emotional fatigue, depersonalization, and feelings of inferiority or inadequacy. Research implications and recommendations are discussed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media permainan kartu gambar dengan teknik make a match yang layak bagi peserta didik dan mengetahui efektifitas media permainan kartu gambar pada pembelajaran tematik-integratif dengan teknik make a match untuk peserta didik kelas 1 SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Pengembangan dilakukan mengacu pada model pengembangan Dick dan Carey. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas 1 SD N Percobaan 3 Pakem tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdiri dari 9 orang peserta didik kelas IB pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan 29 orang peserta didik kelas 1A pada uji coba kelompok besar. Hasil penilaian ahli menunjukkan menunjukkan media permainan kartu gambar dengan teknik make a match pada pembelajaran tematik-integratif layak digunakan dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”.Uji coba kelompok kecil hasilnya adalah mendapat respon yang positif dengan kriteria “Baik”. Uji coba kelompok besar digunakan untuk menguji keefektifan dan kepraktisan penggunaan produk. Keefektif-an ditinjau dari hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan ada perbedaan rata-rata 81,41 menjadi 85,12. Ada peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai sigifikansi sebesar 0,001 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,005. Kepraktisan penggunaan media ditinjau dari hasil observasi guru diperoleh persentase 95% dan hasil observasi peseta didik diperoleh 88,75% dengan masing-masing kriteria kepraktisan sama yaitu “Sangat Praktis”. Kata Kunci: Media permainan kartu gambar, Make a match, Tematik-integratif.  DEVELOPING PICTURE CARD GAME MEDIA WITH MAKE A MATCH TEHNIQUE FOR FIRST GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLAbstract The aims of this research are to determine picture card media with make a match tehniques suitable to students and determine the effectiveness of picture card game media to the thematic-integrative learning with make a match technique for students class 1 Primary School. Type of this research is the research and development. Development is done referring to Dick and Carey model of development through 9 stages. Subjects research trial was students class 1 Primary School Percobaan 3 Pakem 2013/2014 school year consisting of 9 students from class 1B on a small group test and 29 students in the class 1A on a large group test. The results of experts, assessment showed picture card game media with make a match on techniques of make thematic-integrative learning fit for use with “excellent category”. Small group trial get positive respond as “good criteria”. Big group trial tested effectiveness and product-used practicality. Effectiveness in terms result of student study showed different mean 81.41 become 85.12. Any increased result of student study showed significance value 0,001 with taraf significance 0,005. Practicality of media-used showed from teacher observation results obtained percentage of 95% and the observation of the students obtained 88.75%, respectively with the same practicality criteria, namely "Highly Practical". Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan SSP tematik-integratif  terha-dap: (1) penanaman karakter disiplin dan (2) tanggung jawab siswa kelas III  SD se-gugus 2 Kecamat-an Banguntapan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Anova satu jalur dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Penelitiaan ini menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut. (1) SSP tematik-integratif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penananaman karakter disiplin. Hasil uji Anova pada skor posttest karakter disiplin antara kelompok kontrol, eksperimen I, dan eksperimen II menunjukkan bahwa nilai F sebesar 18,173 dengan db 86 dan taraf signifikansi 0,00. Nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05. (2) SSP tematik-integratif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penanaman karakter tanggung jawab antara kelompok kontrol, eksperimen I, dan eksperimen II. Hasil uji Anova pada skor posttest karakter tanggung jawab menunjukkan bahwa nilai F sebesar 17,809  dengan db 86 dan taraf signifikansi 0,00. Nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05. Data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa SSP tematik-integratif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penanaman karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa kelas III SD Se-Gugus 2 Kecamatan Banguntapan. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ THE EFFECT OF THEMATIC-INTEGRATIVE SSP ON THE CHARACTERS OF DISCIPLINE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF YEAR III STUDENTS OF ESsABSTRACT This research was aimed to find out the effect of thematic-integrative Subject Specific Pedagogy  in inculcating the character of (1) discipline and (2) responsibility of year III students of elementary schools in cluster 2 in Banguntapan Subdistrict. This research was a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest control group design. The data analysis technique used was Anova test with significance level of 0.05. The results of the research were (1) Thematic Integrative Subject Specific Pedagogy had a significant effect in inculcating character of discipline. The result of the Anova test on the post-test score of discipline character among the control group, the experimental I and II groups showed that the value of F was 18.173 with db 86 and significance level of 0.00. The significance level was less than 0.05. (2) Thematic Integrative Subject Specific Pedagogy  had a significant effect in inculcating character of responsibility among the control group, the experimental I and II groups. The result of the Anova test on the posttest score of the responsibility character showed that the value of F was 17.809 with db 86 and significance level of 0.00. The significance level was less than 0.05. Based on the data it could be concluded that there was a positive and significant effect of Thematic Integrative Subject Specific Pedagogy in inculcating characters of discipline and responsibility of year III students of elementary schools in cluster 2 in  Banguntapan Subdistrict.
