Abstract

This research paper explores the perspectives on promoting gender equality within the context of women's rights and Islamic law in Southeast Asia. The study adopts a qualitative approach, employing a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, scholarly works, legal documents, reports, and case studies to gain in-depth insights into the topic. The research begins with an overview of Islamic law in Southeast Asia, including its diverse interpretations and influence on family, Marriage, and inheritance matters. It then delves into understanding fundamental principles and practices related to women's rights within Islamic law, examining both supportive and discriminatory aspects. This research explores two main perspectives: liberal interpretations and feminist perspectives. Liberal interpretations advocate for gender equality within Islamic legal frameworks, analyzing progressive interpretations and reforms that promote women's rights. Case studies of countries or regions implementing inclusive approaches are examined to provide practical insights. Feminist perspectives critique patriarchal interpretations of Islamic law, conducting a feminist analysis of gender biases and discrimination within Islamic legal frameworks. The research explores feminist movements advocating for women's rights within the context of Islamic law, highlighting their efforts to challenge patriarchal norms and promote inclusive understandings of Islam. The research methodology involves a qualitative research design, including a literature review and data collection through interviews, focus group discussions, and surveys with relevant stakeholders. Thematic analysis will be conducted to identify common themes and perspectives, providing a comprehensive understanding of the different viewpoints on promoting gender equality within the framework of Islamic law in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

This paper presents a research study investigating the effectiveness of Storynomics as a novel strategy for enhancing consumer engagement in the tourism industry during the digital era. Recognizing the influential role of stories in inspiring connections between travelers and destinations, the study also acknowledges the significance of technology in integrating storytelling into tourism. Storynomics, the proposed approach, combines the power of storytelling with digital technology to create captivating and immersive tourist experiences. A mixed-methods research approach was employed to explore the implementation and impact of Storynomics in the tourism industry. The research commenced with a comprehensive literature review, gathering theoretical foundations and existing knowledge on storytelling, technology, and consumer engagement in tourism. This review was the basis for developing a conceptual framework for Storynomics in tourism. Following the literature review, a series of practical case studies focused on successful Storynomics implementations by tourism companies. These case studies involved qualitative interviews with industry professionals, analysis of narrative content, and examination of social media platforms and interactive applications employed by these companies. The findings from the case studies were synthesized to provide valuable insights into the application of Storynomics in the tourism industry. The study highlights how the synergy between storytelling and digital technology can generate compelling and personalized experiences, drive consumer engagement, and contribute to broader marketing objectives and business growth.

Abstract

This research paper examines the sustainability of democracy in Southeast Asia, focusing on Indonesia's Presidential Election as a case study. The region's diverse political landscape has undergone significant transformations influenced by globalization, civil society movements, and international pressures. As the largest country in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is a crucial example of a nation transitioning from authoritarian rule to democracy. Through qualitative and quantitative research methods, the study analyzes key variables influencing Indonesian democracy, such as democratic institutions, civil society participation, political parties, decentralization, socioeconomic factors, ethnic diversity, and international relations. Findings highlight the complex interactions of these variables in shaping the sustainability of democracy in Indonesia and offer broader implications for the region. While progress has been made in democratic consolidation, political instability and corruption persist. Understanding the complexities of democracy in Southeast Asia provides valuable insights for policymakers and advocates, emphasizing the need for continued dialogue and cooperation to promote sustainable democratic practices and foster regional stability and development.

Abstract

A government organization has predetermined goals. Success in achieving these goals does not only depend on government operational funds, facilities, infrastructure, and technology, but also on human resources. Therefore, this research aims to examine the influence of work motivation and employee abilities on the effectiveness of local government organizations, with the hypothesis that "there is a positive influence of work motivation and employee abilities on organizational effectiveness." The study employs a causal survey method, incorporating multiple regression analysis techniques. This research employs a quantitative approach, obtaining, processing, and analyzing data statistically (parametrically). This research concludes, based on the carried out data analysis, that: (i) the combination of work motivation and ability significantly influences organizational effectiveness; (ii) work motivation partially influences organizational effectiveness; and (iii) ability partially influences organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to see how academic supervision and principal leadership affected teacher performance. The quantitative descriptive approach is used in this investigation. The population study were all instructors from SMA Negeri 2 Kayuagung. Academic supervision and the principal's leadership have a favorable and substantial link and impact on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Kayuagung, both partially and concurrently, according to the findings of this study. In general, this study has not been widely conducted, particularly when it comes to associating the factors of academic supervision and principal leadership at the same time with teacher performance in senior high schools. This study is likely to benefit principals in particular, as enhancing teacher performance may begin with academic monitoring and the implementation of effective leadership.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Hubungan Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Kedisiplinan siswa di SMP se-kota Gorontalo 2) Hubungan Kecerdasan Spiritual dengan Kedisiplinan siswa di SMP se-kota Gorontalo. 3) Hubungan antara Kecerdasan Emosional dan Kecerdasan Spiritual dengan Kedisiplinan Siswa di SMP se-kota Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kedisiplinan siswa di SMP se-kota Gorontalo dengan koefisien korelasi 0,5776 atau 57,76%. 2) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan spiritual dengan kedisiplinan siswa di SMP se-kota Gorontalo dengan koefisien korelasi 0,6241 atau 62,41% 3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual dengan kedisiplinan Siswa di SMP se-kota Gorontalo dengan koefisien korelasi 0,6724 atau 67,24%. Untuk itu disarankan: 1) Bagi Sekolah diharapkan mendesain program untuk mengembangkan kebijakan pendidikan seperti pelaksanaan peningkatan kedisipinan belajar siswa, pengelolaan kelas, serta pembinaan pendidikan karakter tanggungjawab dan disiplin waktu sehingga dapat menghasilkan siswa yang mempunyai kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual yang lebih baik. 2) Bagi guru diharapkan mampu menjadi tauladan siswa melalui peningkatkan disiplin belajar, guru menjadi sumber motivasi siswa untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional dan spiritual serta kedisiplinan. 3) Bagi peneliti diharapkan dapat memperkuat kemampuan menganalisis mengenai kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual dengan kedisiplinan siswa dengan menggunakan sampel yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui strategi sekolah dalam penguatan karakter siswa di bidang akademik, (2) Mengetahui strategi sekolah dalam penguatan karakter siswa dibidang non akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses, (1) Wawancara, (2) observasi, dan (3) dokumentasi. Analisis data terdiri dari, (1) kondensasi data, (2) penyajian data, (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data melalui (1) Perpanjangan pengamatan, (2) observasi, (3) triangulasi, dan (4) membercheck. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Strategi sekolah dalam penguatan karakter siswa di bidang akademik, yaitu melalui lima nilai karakter utama yakni religius, nasionalisme, kemandirian, gotong royong dan integritas. (2) strategi sekolah dalam penguatan karakter siswa dibidang non akademik, yaitu melalui kegiatan organisasi seperti OSIS, pramuka dan kesenian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) hubungan penguatan karakter dalam bermain game online dengan prestasi belajar siswa, 2) hubungan motivasi belajar siswa dengan prestasi belajar siswa, dan 3) hubungan penguatan karakter dalam bermain game online dan motivasi belajar siswa dengan prestasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 1.397 siswa. Teknik pemgambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan sampel berjumlah 399 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi parsial dan simultan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara penguatan karakter dalam bermain game online dengan prestasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo, 2) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan prestasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo, dan 3) terdapat hubungan postif dan signifikan secara bersama-sama antara penguatan karakter dalam bermain game online dan motivasi belajar siswa dengan prestasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) untuk mengetahui intensitas penggunaan gadget di sSMPN se- Kecamatan Popayato Barat, (2) untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar siswa di SMPN se-Kecamatan Popayato Barat, (3) untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas penggunaan gadget terhadap prestasi belajar siswa di SMPN se-Kecamatan Popayato Barat. Teknik analisis data (1) Uji kualitas instrument menggunakan uji validitas pearson, reliabilitas cronbach alpa, (2) analisis deskriptif, (3) Uji asumsi klasik dengan uji normalitas, uji, uji homogenitas, uji linieritas, (3) uji hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) intensitas penggunaan gadget di SMPN se-Kecamatan Popayato Barat cukup tinggi, (2) prestasi belajar di SMPN se-Kecamatan Popayato Barat tinggi, (3) terdapat pengaruh intensitas penggunaan gadged terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil uji hipotesis serta. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2013 diperoleh nilai signifikansinya atau p-value sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari alpa 0,05 atau 0,000 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan dengan dengan dengan selang kepercayaan 95% ada pengaruh intensitas penggunaan gadged terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Pada uji Determinasi diperoleh koefisien determinasi atau Adjusted R2 adalah 0,11 hal ini berarti intensitas penggunaan gadged terhadap prestasi belajar berpengaruh sebesar 11% sedangkan sisanya (1-0,11) 89% dispengaruhi oleh factor lain misalnya motivasi belajar atau peran orang tua. Untuk itu disarankan : (1) bagi sekolah, di harapkan kepada sekolah agar dapat membuat kebijakan dan program kerja berkaitan dengan teknologi informasi dan sebagai sumbang pemikiran dan informasi yang dapat dijadikan bahwa pertimbangan untuk mengoptimalkan prestasi belajar siswa sehingga dapat menciptakan lulusan- lulusan yang terbaik, (2) bagi guru, penulis berharap agar hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi guru terutama dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan menyikapi perkembangan gadget dengan lebih baik dan bijak dengan mendorong siswa menggunaan gadget kearah yang lebih positif, (3) bagi peneliti, diharapkan pada peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangan penelitian tentang pengaruh intensitas penggunaan gadget terhadap prestasi belajar menggunakan metode lain.
