Abstract

Abstract: The ideology of capitalism cannot be separated from the understanding of European liberalism that occurred in the 18th century, where capitalism and liberalism were born in response to the dictatorship of the feudal lords and the church at that time. Meanwhile, the emergence of socialism in the 19th century, could not be separated from the role of Karl Marx who wrote a book The Communist Manifesto of a German socialist figure who had contributed in the revival of the union and unity of the workers and intellectuals who had more than a century been amputated by market mechanisms. The Islamic economic system regulates all economic activities, so that humans as economic agents cannot be free as freely as possible, there are limits set in the Koran and Hadith, all the objectives of economic activity cannot be separated from Islamic values, making and selling illicit goods such as alcohol is not permissible in Islamic economics. The Islamic economic system is not only used as an alternative economic system but is a solution of various economic problems today. Abstract

This study explores the internalization of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) values in character formation at Madrasah Aliyah Ta’limuasyibian, Pandan Indah Village. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that Aswaja values—such as moderation (tawasuth), tolerance (tasamuh), balance (tawazun), and social responsibility (amar ma’ruf nahi munkar)—are systematically embedded in curricular activities, school culture, and daily student interactions. These values are integrated not only in religious subjects but also across general lessons, extracurricular religious rituals, and peer interactions. Key challenges include limited teacher training, insufficient contextual teaching resources, and external influences from digital media. Nevertheless, strong community engagement, exemplary leadership from teachers, and active student participation enhance the internalization process. The study highlights the significance of character education rooted in Islamic local wisdom as a strategic response to the moral challenges faced by youth in the digital age

Abstract

This study aims to improve the narrative writing skills of Class V students through the use of video media. This study is action research conducted at SDN Malaka Jaya 07 Pagi East Jakarta. The subjects of the study were Class V students, amounting to 31 students. The research was divided into two cycles (after the pre-cycle), each cycle having two and three meetings. The data analysis technique was performed by using a qualitative descriptive technique. The success of this study is seen from two criteria, namely from the observation sheet after applying video utilization and from the increasing results of narrative writing skills. The study results obtained from the use of video are to make students active in finding information and making writing and skilled at developing and utilizing their own knowledge. It is hoped that the improvement in the skills to write narration will be clearly seen in the initial cycle and increase in cycle 2 (Two). This can be seen from the initial percentage. Students who are not yet skilled or not enthusiastic/interested in writing narration by 49%, then the percentage of results in the first cycle (second meeting) is 40% and at the end of the second cycle, (third meeting) students who are not interested write only 11%. Overall at the end of the second cycle all aspects and criteria for narrative writing experienced a significant increase.

Abstract

This study’s finding is religious polarization confirming the Identity of Lombok Islamic Societies emerging since before Indonesia’s independence by taking the religious movement form. Mainstream religious movement in Lombok is Sunni one and not all of them are under organizational flag, but generally based on educational institution. Minority non-sunni movement brought an effect and wahabi movement pattern emphasizing on “the differentiation” of religious practice, so that it is not ideological wrestling but identity contestation that occurs. Then, religiosity identity of Lombok Islamic societies is material-symbolic and accommodative in nature. The accommodative religious practice occurs in tasawwuf practices and encounters acculturation as the identity of Lombok Muslim. Islamic religious Identity in Lombok Sunni has been existing long before the development of religious organization and educational institution, so that the Sasak Islamic Identity encountered acculturation as the result of natural constructi on of Lombok Islamic societies. Organizational diversity, movement, and identity solidification can be a wealth as long as it is not debated in the public space

Abstract

Contamination of  heavy metals on the soil leads to an increase in its acidity. Vermicompost application is commonly used to improve the properties of soil. The study was carried out to determine the reduction of the acidity in Pb and Cd contaminated soils under the application of vermicompost. Two laboratory experiments were set using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was soil samples, vis Inceptisols, and Entisols, and the second factor was the rates of vermicompost, consisted of 0, 5, 10, 15 g kg-1. The treatment combination was repeated three times. The soils were pretreated with 10 mg kg-1 Pb or Cd using Pb(NO3)2 and Cd(NO3)2. Three hundred kg soil sample was incorporated with vermicompost and placed in a 500 ml plastic bottle. The mixtures were incubated for eight weeks, and the moisture of the soil was maintained at field capacity. The acidity and soil temperature were monitored every week. The study indicated that Pb contaminated soil acidity increased to the sixth week of the incubation and decreased afterward. However, the acidity of Cd contaminated soil was consistently increased during the incubation. Treatment of vermicompost significantly lowered the acidity of both Pb and Cd contaminated soils. Contaminated Entisols had a higher response to the application of vermicompost than that of Inceptisols. This finding is significant in assessing acidity risk and possible management intervention for Pb and Cd contaminated soils.

Abstract

Soil properties play essential roles in transmitting and holding precipitation water; therefore, they determine the amount of plant-available water in the soil profile. The study aimed to compare the size distributions of Andept soil pores following four-year applications of vermicompost and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The experiment was done from 2016 to 2019. The five doses of vermicompost (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 Mg ha-1) set as the main factor, supplemented with 0 and 100 percent concentrations of LOF as a sub-factor, were arranged in a split-plot design with three replicates. Results showed that adding LOF decreased slow-drainage pores significantly when combined with 10 Mg ha-1 of vermicompost. However, the pore changes by LOF were not significant when applied to other doses of vermicompost. Applying vermicompost and LOF lowered the slow-drainage pores by increasing soil organic carbon and reducing soil particle density. The findings suggest that vermicompost and LOF act as soil ameliorants to reduce water loss by drainage from soil profiles. The study highlights the importance of soil properties in determining plant-available water in the soil profile.
