Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the learning participation of students in Islamic Civilization History subjects. This research is motivated by a less varied learning model in the subjects of Islamic Civilization History. This type of research is quantitative with quasi-experimental methods and a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects used two classes, namely the experimental and control classes, which then used an instrument in the form of an observation sheet. Data analysis to test the effectiveness of learning using the t test. The results showed that the participation rate of students in the experimental class was in the high category with a mean of 18.40 (77%) while the control class was included in the fairly high category of 14.00 (58%). Participation in learning can also improve students 'understanding, it can be obtained from the results of the students' Post Test. The results of hypothesis testing by applying the Independent Sample T Test, it is known that the value (Sig 2-tailet) is 0,000 and less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method can increase the participation of students. Keywords: Team Games Tournament (TGT), Participation, Learning

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of digital technology integration in learning mathematics. The integration study is viewed from the perspective of mathematics learning. It was concluded that the basic principle in integrating digital technology in mathematics learning is that the use of technology does not result in poor conceptual understanding or replaces the role of students' intuition in mathematics, but technology aims to improve students' conceptual understanding and develop students' intuitive abilities in mathematics. Mathematics is divided into two categories, namely knowing mathematics and doing mathematics. Knowing mathematics is related to knowledge of mathematics as a form of knowledge. Meanwhile, doing mathematics is related to mathematical activities

Abstract

This study aims to identify and understand the implementation of constructivism learning theory in science. The method used in this study uses a library method or approach (library research). Data obtained through literature study. The results showed that constructivist teaching is based on the belief that learning occurs as learners are actively involved in a process of meaning and knowledge construction rather than passively receiving information. Teaching methods based on constructivist views are very useful to help students' learning. The following are practices derived from cognitive psychology that can help students understand, recall and apply essential information, concepts and skills. They are used to make lessons relevant, activate students' prior knowledge, help elaborate and organize information, and encourage questioning. Important concepts from this perspective are advanced organizers, analogies, and elaboration.  Teaching science from a constructivist perspective aims to give students knowledge of science in such a way that they not only understand the concepts and principles of science, but also the significance of science learning

Abstract

The study of individual differences in education explains differences related to differences in thinking, feeling and acting among students in a class. Educational levels from elementary school to college level have differences in learning styles. Effective learning is able to accommodate student needs. This is in accordance with the opinion of Sugihartono (2007) which says that one of the characteristics of effective learning is if learning can respond to student needs. Special needs relate to the uniqueness or differences between students. This individual difference in the learning process is the task of educators in understanding students, because they face students with various individual differences. This difference is normal and unavoidable. As a good teacher, the teacher cannot eliminate these differences by assuming all students are equal. Therefore, efforts are needed to address the differences of each student. Based on the study of literature from previous studies, it was found that students need to be considered in the learning process so that students can easily understand the learning material presented by the lecturer in the classroom.

Abstract

Reading is the first obligation that God commands His people. Because by reading we can find out what is not yet known. Reading can sharpen thinking power and improve writing skills. Reading is not only explicit but also implied from all natural phenomena. So that reading activities run well, a place that can accommodate both reading and writing activities is needed. The place referred to in this paper is in the form of TBM. For the implementation of reading activities smoothly, it is necessary to manage the institution which includes planning, implementing, organizing, evaluating and developing. TBM not only functions as a place to read and write but also at the same time other activities that support reading activities, such as sports and arts activities, entertainment and recreation, so these activities need to be programmed at TBM.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the activeness of learning residents in Package C at PKBM Pratama, Pancung Problem District, Peisir Selatan Regency, using the lecture method, discussion method, demonstration method, question and answer method, and practice methods in learning. This study aims to see an overview of the application of the learning methods used by tutors during PBM, to see the activeness of learning residents in participating in the PBM Package C process and the relationship between tutor learning methods and the activities of residents studying Package C at PKBM Pratama. This type of research is quantitative with a correlational approach. The population in this study were all learning residents who took part in the Package C Pratama program in 2020 as many as 112 people. While the sampling technique using the Simple Random Sampling technique, as many as 50% of the 112 people, namely 56 people. The data collection technique used a questionnaire distributed to the residents studying Package C, while the data analysis technique used the Percentage and Product Moment formulas. The results of this study indicate that the learning methods used by tutors are less varied so that the activeness of the learning community is categorized as low, and there is a significant relationship between the tutor's learning method and the activeness of the learning community in package C. The suggestion in this study is that tutors should use varied learning so that the activeness of the citizens more increased. Keywords: Learning Methods, Active Learning, Quantitative, Correlation
