Abstract

Sales data is generally still rarely used, as well as the Perfume Corner shop just piling up in the database, even though there are problems experienced by the store regarding sales data for the best-selling products and to increase the number of sales of subsequent perfume products, so that the store can survive and develop even better. The algorithm that can be used to manage sales data to overcome this problem is Apriori. The research method used in this research is the KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Database) process. This research produces a high frequency pattern for itemsets with a minimum support value of 20% resulting in products that become The Most Tree Items namely Jo Malone 82.49%, Zarra 28.25%, and Zwitsal 20.34%. While the association rules formed from the value of Min. Supp 20% and Min. Conf 80%, get a combination of 2 itemsets, namely Jo Malone and Zarra. Whereas for the combination of 3 itemsets, namely Jo Malone, Zarra and Baccarte with valid and strong status, it is proven by a lift value greater than 1, therefore the association rules are very appropriate to be used.

Abstract

Introduction: the HIV-AIDS epidemic has spread worldwide, including in Indonesia. The Ministry of Health estimates that there were 543,100 PLHIV in 2020. Nurses who provide first-line service must have special skills and attitudes, as well as respect and uphold confidentiality, also the rights and choices of HIV-positive patients. Numerous studies have found that health employees, especially nurses, hold unfavorable views toward patients living with HIV/AIDS. Objective: to assess emergency nurses' knowledge and attitudes for emergency preparedness management of HIV-AIDS patients. Methods: this study employed a cross-sectional descriptive design and was conducted in the emergency departments of two hospitals in Jember Regency. Results: The total number of respondents was 38 emergency nurses, with 14 (36.8%) getting into the good knowledge category and 24 (63.2%) becoming the sufficient knowledge category. In terms of attitude, 16 (42.1%) got into the good attitude and 22 (57.9%) passed the fair attitude category. Conclusion: promoting emergency nurses' knowledge of preparedness management for patients with HIV-AIDS is critical to follow up through training programs, since HIV-AIDS remains a global epidemic of non-natural disasters with a high prevalence, even though the numbers have decreased year over year.

Abstract

Highlights: Calciferol has cardioprotective properties, and a severe deficiency of calciferol is associated with septic shock, a longer duration of mechanical ventilation and treatment in the intensive care unit, and mortality. The role of calciferol in critical conditions has been described in several research reports, but relatively little is known about its function in pediatric cardiac surgery. Abstract Calciferol is a micronutrient and a secosteroid hormone that plays a role in maintaining the health of bones and soft tissues in the body, such as the myocardium, as well as the immune system. Hypovitaminosis D has been reported to be associated with poor clinical outcomes and child mortality in pediatric intensive care units. Children with congenital heart disease (CHD) are vulnerable to critical conditions and require early intervention due to heart failure. This study aimed to investigate the influence of calciferol status on the clinical outcomes of pediatric CHD patients who underwent heart surgery. A systematic literature review was conducted using the electronic databases from PubMed, Elsevier, and Cochrane. This study included observational and randomized control studies that assessed the calciferol status of pediatric CHD patients undergoing cardiac surgery. From a total of 168 studies, 8 studies were selected for review. The preoperative and postoperative calciferol status as well as clinical outcomes following pediatric cardiac surgery were reviewed. According to the findings, most pediatric CHD patients suffered from calciferol deficiency prior to corrective heart surgery, which further decreased postoperatively and was associated with clinical outcomes in the intensive care unit (ICU). Preoperative calciferol supplementation has been reported to enhance serum calciferol levels and is associated with good clinical outcomes in pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

Abstract

Establishing a sustainable food system poses a significant challenge, particularly for policymakers. This study aims to identify the factors driving the transformation of the food system in Semarang City and to examine the integration of food security policies implemented to address these issues. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using the Grounded Theory Analysis method. Data were collected through document review and interviews with stakeholders. The findings reveal that the distribution sector has the highest weighted score for problems, followed by consumption, and then production. Quick Wins interventions, integrating cross-sectoral policies, were implemented to steer the existing food system towards greater sustainability. This research recommends the importance of enhancing institutional capacity through the formation of regional regulations and indicators for evaluating policy implementation. This ensures that the process of cross-sectoral policy integration, from formulation to evaluation, remains coherent in achieving stated objectives

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, with a total of 64.2 million units contributing 61.07% to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), equivalent to IDR 8,573.89 trillion. However, only about 12% of these MSMEs have effectively adopted digital technologies. Digitalization holds a strategic role in enhancing business competitiveness and efficiency in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 toward Society 5.0, particularly in marketing activities that have shifted from conventional systems to digital-based marketing through e-commerce, social media, and online marketplaces. This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to assist a partner, Mulya Biro Jasa, an MSME engaged in administrative and legal documentation services located in Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Based on observations, the partner faced challenges in marketing and management facilities that remained conventional, such as the absence of an official website, unregistered business location on Google Maps, and underutilization of social media platforms. Through this PKM activity, the implementation team provided several solutions, including the development of a website, social media development, Google Maps optimization, logo design, business cards, and a neon box sign as a business identity. In addition, the implementing team also installed a 1 TB SSD to provide larger digital data storage capacity and added CCTV to enhance the security of important documents. The program successfully improved the partner’s knowledge and skills in utilizing digital technology to support business development. Based on the questionnaire results, the average pre-test score of 3.09 increased to 3.60 in the post-test, indicating a 16,5% improvement in understanding. Furthermore, this activity provided valuable hands-on experience for students in applying information technology knowledge in real-world business contexts.

Abstract

Sparsity data is a major challenge in collaborative recommendation systems, characterized by the predominance of missing values within the user-item matrix. When a substantial portion of data is unavailable, the estimation process becomes hindered, and prediction accuracy declines due to limited usable information. To address this issue, this study introduces a novel method called SiMoI (Similarity, Mode, and Minimum Imputation), which is adaptively designed to handle high levels of sparsity. The SiMoI method combines user similarity with imputation strategies based on mode and minimum values. By leveraging subsets of the most informative users and items, the method efficiently fills missing entries while maintaining prediction stability. Evaluation was conducted using both real and synthetic datasets with varying sizes and degrees of sparsity, including an extreme scenario with 93.7% missing data. Experimental results show that SiMoI consistently produces more accurate predictions than baseline methods. Under high-sparsity conditions, SiMoI achieved an RMSE as low as 0.823, outperforming KNNI (0.947) and MEAN (1.021). Moreover, SiMoI demonstrated resilience across different data scales and sparsity distributions, indicating its flexibility and scalability in diverse contexts. These findings suggest that SiMoI is an effective and stable approach for addressing sparsity and holds strong potential for implementation in user-based recommendation systems, particularly in real-world scenarios where data availability is frequently limited.

Abstract

This research analyzes the conceptual framework of "The Discipline of Building Character" by Joseph L. Badaracco Jr., focusing on the formation of leadership character through Defining Moments. This research is motivated by a paradigm shift in leadership ethics studies, from a rule-based approach to character-based ethics or virtue ethics. The ethics paper identifies that large-scale corporate failures reflect a crisis of leadership character that requires an internal mechanism of self-reflection discipline. Badaracco argues that Defining Moments—choices between two deeply held ideals (right-versus-right)—are a laboratory for character formation that is cumulative and continuous. The research conducts a comprehensive synthesis of the contributions of ten major researchers in character ethics and moral leadership, placing Badaracco's framework in theoretical dialogue with classical virtue ethics and contemporary character development models. Defining Moments are identified through three dimensions: (1) Personal Identity ("Who Am I?"), (2) Collective Relationships ("Who Are We?"), and (3) The Social Role of Institutions ("Who Is Our Company?"). Badaracco's framework synthetically combines Aristotelian wisdom on phronesis (practical wisdom) with existential responsibility for self-creation through authentic choices. Practical implications include the institutionalization of character-based reflection processes, the design of organizations that are anti-cognitive bias, and the modeling of moral ethos by senior leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the administrative management implemented at the Majelis Taklim and Zikir Darul Iman and its role in increasing the effectiveness of da'wah activities. The focus of this research includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising administration, as well as the extent to which this administrative system has been implemented and the obstacles encountered. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation of the administrators of Majelis Taklim and Zikir Darul Iman in several regions. The results indicate that Majelis Taklim and Zikir Darul Iman have implemented a fairly well organized and structured administrative management system, characterized by a clear division of administrative duties, routine activity scheduling, coordinated congregation data collection, and transparent financial management, although still carried out manually. The administrative system, which is not centralized by a single administrator, makes the implementation of da'wah activities more effective and sustainable. The main obstacle faced is limited funding for developing a more modern administrative system. Thus, good administrative management has proven to be a crucial factor in supporting the effectiveness of the Majelis Taklim and Zikir Darul Iman's da'wah activities.
