Abstract

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in the destruction of all existing regulatory systems, faced many obstacles, especially in the field of tourism, including tourism villages. The Green Economy concept is expected to be a way out and a bridge between people's income growth, social justice and environmental friendliness. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the green economy transition in tourism, especially tourist villages, whether it is able to provide inspiration or actually prevent an increase in people's income in conditions of the COVID-19 shock. This study develops a model to see the relationship between green economy and people's income. Quantitative in this study used SmartPLS 3.0 in analyzing data obtained from 600 respondents through the observation stage and a list of questions given. The research was carried out in tourist villages in West Java and Lampung Provinces carried out in the context of COVID-19. This study found thatthe transition of a tourist village with the concept of green economy has a strong influence in increasing the income of rural tourism communities in conditions of the COVID-19 shock. This is because, tourist villages with the concept of green economy are able to create a special attraction for tourists the design of a tourist village is carried out in accordance with the surrounding natural conditions and the habits of life of the people so that the tourist village is eyed by many foreign tourists as well as local tourists and when tourists come, of course there will be an economic turnover in the village and implications for the local community economically, socio-culturally and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the skills of teachers and staff at MAN 3 Padang Pariaman in implementing the Extraordinary Computer Based Test (CBT) application for the final semester assessment. The main issue faced by the school was the manual paper-based test system, which was time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient. Through a technical guidance (Bimtek) program, participants received theoretical and practical training on managing the CBT application, including question creation, participant data input, exam simulation, and automatic result processing. The activity was conducted over two days with 40 participants consisting of teachers and administrative staff. The evaluation results showed that 85% of participants strongly agreed that the application was easy to use, effective, and capable of improving exam efficiency. Furthermore, the implementation of this application increased students’ learning motivation and improved teachers’ professionalism in managing technology-based assessments. Therefore, this program successfully enhanced the participants’ digital competence and provided an innovative solution for the learning evaluation system at MAN 3 Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

This research aims to design and realize a prototype of a coconut milk machine based on Outseal PLC that integrates the grating and squeezing processes in one automatic system. The system uses Outseal Mega V.2 PLC as the main controller with Arduino Uno support for sensor reading. A load cell sensor is used to detect the weight of 1 kg of grated coconut as a parameter for the process transfer to the squeezing stage. The test results show that 1 kg of grated coconut produces approximately ½ liter (500 ml) of coconut milk. An ultrasonic sensor is used to detect the height of the coconut milk surface in the container, which is approximately 14.8 cm at a volume of 500 ml as the system's stop limit. The process of making coconut milk using the machine takes approximately 40 minutes, faster than the manual process which takes approximately 60 minutes. The results of the study indicate that the tool is able to increase time efficiency and reduce manual work processes in making coconut milk.

Abstract

Hatch covers are one of the vital components on bulk carriers that serve to protect cargo and support the smooth loading and unloading process. In practice, disturbances in the form of derailed hatch covers still often occur, especially during cargo hold cleaning, which can hinder the loading process and potentially pose occupational safety risks. This study aims to analyze the causes of hatch cover derailment during the cargo hold cleaning process and formulate technical and operational measures to support the smooth loading process on MV Kencana Baruna. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through direct observation on the ship, interviews with relevant crew members, and documentation studies of hatch cover procedures and maintenance records. The results of the analysis show that the main factors causing hatch cover derailment include lack of maintenance of the hatch cover track, suboptimal roller conditions, and lack of supervision and implementation of appropriate work procedures during the cargo hold cleaning process. Preventive measures that can be taken include improving the periodic maintenance program, checking the condition of the hatch cover before and after cleaning, and improving crew discipline in implementing standard operating procedures.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to identify the factors influencing stability reporting in the Islamic financial services industry, with a specific focus on financial performance, efficiency, asset quality, and capital adequacy.Design/Methodology: Utilizing panel data from Islamic financial institutions across ten countries (Iran, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Bahrain), the research employs the Cross-Sectionally Augmented Autoregressive Distributed Lag (CS-ARDL) approach to address cross-sectional dependence and heterogeneity in panel data. The model's validity and consistency were confirmed through robust diagnostic tests, including cointegration and cross-sectional dependence tests.Findings: This study finds that financial performance (ROA) and capital adequacy (CAR) are key drivers of stability in the Islamic financial services industry. Institutions with higher profitability and stronger capital buffers are better able to withstand economic pressures and maintain stable operations, both in the short and long term. In contrast, inefficiency (high Cost to Income Ratio) and poor asset quality (high NPF) weaken stability. When institutions operate inefficiently, their costs erode profits that could otherwise serve as a cushion during difficult times. Likewise, when financing defaults increase, asset quality deteriorates, directly threatening institutional soundness. These findings indicate that achieving stability requires Islamic financial institutions to simultaneously strengthen profitability, maintain adequate capital, control operational costs, and manage credit risk effectively.Practical Implications: This study offers practical implications for regulators and financial institutions to enhance stability monitoring and risk management frameworks, thereby improving systemic resilience within the Islamic financial services industry.Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature on Islamic financial stability by providing robust empirical evidence on the critical determinants of stability reporting, using a sophisticated methodology to account for data complexities.
