Abstract

Student brawls are one type of juvenile delinquency that is a problem in Indonesia. Provocative speech, which is widespread on social media and influences student behavior in the real world, is one of the causes of these brawls. Thus, forensic linguistic research tries to connect linguistics with the legal field. One of the objectives of the study is to determine the type of language used by students on social media and determine the legal consequences that arise from student brawls. This study uses a pragmatic approach. This means examining the linguistic meaning in speech or utterances by considering the type of speech. The research data comes from student texts on uploads and comments columns on their Instagram accounts. This study describes provocative expressions that cause student brawls. Therefore, students must be educated to be polite on social media and understand the negative effects of provocative speech. This is an effort to prevent student brawls and prevent children from committing criminal acts.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative descriptive research aimed at analyzing and describing strategies for handling children with speech delay through the implementation of the singing method at PAUD Farhany Khair. The research method employed is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, allowing the researcher to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon being studied. The research subjects include the school principal, parents of children with speech delay, and educators involved in the learning process. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participatory observations to obtain comprehensive information. The results of this study indicate that the singing method can be an effective strategy for stimulating language development in children with speech delay. This method helps enhance children's attention, verbal responses, and engagement in communication, thereby positively impacting their speech development.

Abstract

Writing skills are essential in education and need to be developed from an early age to ensure academic success. However, many children face challenges in writing, whether it’s related to structure, vocabulary, or creativity. These difficulties can hinder their ability to effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas. To address this, the Reading to Learn (R2L) method presents a solution that can significantly enhance children’s writing skills. The R2L method is a comprehensive approach that combines both reading and writing activities in a systematic way, allowing children to understand various text structures and patterns that they can apply in their own writing.This article discusses how the R2L method is not only effective but also enjoyable for children. Unlike traditional teaching methods that are either teacher-centered or student-centered, the R2L approach emphasizes the importance of collaboration and interaction between the teacher and the students to build knowledge. The method encourages children to think critically and creatively, helping them transform their ideas into coherent written form.By using the R2L method, students not only improve their writing abilities but also gain confidence in expressing their thoughts and ideas clearly. This boost in confidence is essential for their overall development as learners. The application of the R2L method in classrooms provides an innovative and engaging way to teach writing, fostering both creativity and critical thinking skills. As such, the R2L method offers a valuable approach to developing writing skills in children, making learning both effective and fun.

Abstract

Enhancing students' speaking skills specifically in expressing opinions, engaging in discussions, and delivering presentations requires innovative approaches in schools. This study aims to assess the improvement in students' speaking abilities and self-confidence through the implementation of the Everyone Is A Teacher Here (ETH) learning model in Class VC at SD Negeri 105855 PTPN II Tanjung Morawa. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the phenomena occurring within the study's context. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of the ETH model has a positive impact, evidenced by the following outcomes: (1) students demonstrate effective collaboration, (2) students formulate relevant questions related to the learning material, and (3) students exhibit the courage to perform in front of the class and respond to inquiries from other groups. This model significantly enhances students' learning outcomes, fostering increased activity and enthusiasm during the learning process, as the employed strategies effectively engage their interest. Consequently, the Everyone Is A Teacher Here (ETH) model has received positive feedback from students and is recommended for application by educators.

Abstract

Integrasi deep learning (DL) ke dalam kurikulum sekolah menawarkan peluang besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pembelajaran personalisasi, penilaian otomatis, dan pengambilan keputusan berbasis data. Studi ini mengidentifikasi empat tantangan utama dalam implementasinya: ketidakselarasan pedagogis antara metode pengajaran tradisional dengan pendekatan analitis DL (32% studi), keterbatasan infrastruktur termasuk perangkat keras dan akses internet (45%), masalah etika terkait privasi data siswa dan bias algoritma (28%), serta kesiapan guru yang belum memadai (40%). Melalui tinjauan literatur sistematis terhadap 45 artikel peer-reviewed, penelitian ini mengusulkan solusi strategis berupa desain kurikulum berbasis proyek, adopsi komputasi awan, program pelatihan guru komprehensif, dan kerangka etika yang kuat. Studi kasus komparatif dari Singapura, Finlandia, dan Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa integrasi DL yang sukses membutuhkan dukungan kebijakan, aksesibilitas teknologi, dan adaptasi pedagogis. Penelitian merekomendasikan model implementasi bertahap yang disesuaikan dengan konteks lokal, dengan penekanan pada kolaborasi multipihak antara pendidik, pembuat kebijakan, dan penyedia teknologi. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan AI yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan untuk mengatasi tantangan teknologi dan sumber daya manusia di berbagai setting pendidikan.

Abstract

In the age of digital education, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a promising tool to improve literary literacy, particularly among vocational high school students who often perceive literature as abstract or irrelevant. This study investigates the impact of AI-enhanced learning on students’ engagement with literary texts, reframing the research through a discourse analysis lens. We collected data through interviews and classroom observations at SMK Swasta Al Ma'shum Kisaran, using a qualitative phenomenological method. Students interacted with AI platforms to generate, evaluate, and discuss literary content. While results confirm that AI increased student motivation, improved access to information, and provided personalized feedback, this study extends beyond surface-level outcomes by analyzing how discourse practices shifted during learning. Students described AI as an "expert" or “companion,” reflecting new relational discourses between humans and machines. AI feedback embedded implicit discourses of authority, clarity, and guidance, which students often mimicked in their writing. Furthermore, literary production became a space of identity negotiation, with students using metaphor, cultural reference, and narrative framing increasingly sophisticatedly. Immediate feedback from AI not only reinforced language patterns but also shaped students’ self-perceptions as readers and writers. This research contributes to the emerging field of digital discourse studies by illustrating how AI functions not merely as a tool but as a discursive partner in education. Educators must take into account the linguistic and technological aspects of AI integration to foster critical and reflective language use through digital literacy. Future studies should look into how different forms of communication and identity are shaped in learning environments that use AI, across various educational settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan ejaan, pilihan diksi, dan penggunaan kalimat efektif dalam tugas tertulis mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa masih banyak melakukan kesalahan ejaan, pilihan diksi, dan penggunaan kalimat efektif dalam tugas tertulis mereka. Kesalahan ejaan yang paling sering ditemukan adalah penulisan kata yang tidak sesuai dengan EYD, penggunaan huruf kapital yang tidak tepat, dan penggunaan tanda baca yang salah. Kesalahan pilihan diksi yang paling sering ditemukan adalah penggunaan kata yang tidak baku, penggunaan kata yang tidak tepat makna, dan penggunaan kata yang tidak sesuai dengan konteks. Kesalahan penggunaan kalimat efektif yang paling sering ditemukan adalah kalimat yang tidak padu, kalimat yang tidak logis, dan kalimat yang tidak efektif.Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan dalam bidang Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia perlu ditingkatkan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pembinaan kepada mahasiswa tentang Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia, serta dengan meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam tugas tertulis mahasiswa.

Abstract

Dalam menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia sering ditemukan dalam makalah mahasiswa jurusan Ekonomi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kesalahan bahasa yang ditemukan, penyebab kesalahan tersebut, serta perbaikan sebagaimana yang semestinya digunakan. peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena penelitian ini menganalisis mengenai kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia yang terdapat pada makalah Mahasiswa Jurusan Ekonomi.Terdapat beberapa kesalahan pada penulisan makalah tersebut baik dari segi peletakan tanda baca, penulisan huruf kapital, penulisan huruf miring, peletakan kata depan, dan ketidakbakuan suatu kataUntuk mengatasi kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia, diperlukan kesadaran akan pentingnya menggunakan bahasa yang benar dan berkomunikasi dengan cara yang efektif. Dengan memahami aturan bahasa dan berlatih berbahasa secara teratur, kita dapat mengurangi kesalahan berbahasa dan meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi baik secara lisan maupun tulisan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan bahasa dalam propaganda politik di media sosial dan dampaknya terhadap masyarakat dan budaya komunikasi di Indonesia. Dengan fokus pada penyimpangan makna secara pragmatis, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kasus tunggal terpancang. Data diperoleh dari dokumen yang diunggah di berbagai platform media sosial seperti blog, Facebook, Twitter, dan situs online lainnya. Teknik analisis isi digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pola penggunaan bahasa yang mengalami penyimpangan makna dalam konteks propaganda politik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang bagaimana bahasa digunakan untuk memengaruhi opini publik melalui media sosial, serta implikasinya terhadap budaya komunikasi di Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Reading is a fundamental skill crucial for academic success, particularly interpretative reading which involves analyzing implicit meanings, author intent, and emotional nuances in texts. Specific Background: Indonesian students’ literacy rates remain below the OECD average, with most failing to achieve minimum proficiency in reading, as highlighted by PISA 2022. Knowledge Gap: While digital comics and Project Based Learning (PjBL) have individually shown promise, there is limited research on their integration for enhancing interpretative reading in Indonesian elementary contexts. Aim: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of PjBL-based fable e-comics in improving the interpretative reading abilities of Grade IV elementary students. Results: Using a quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design, students’ scores improved significantly from a pretest average of 66 to a posttest average of 91, with an N-gain score of 0.71, indicating high effectiveness. Novelty: The study offers a novel instructional model combining e-comics and PjBL to foster interpretative reading—a synergy not previously explored in this context. Implications: Findings suggest that this innovative approach can enhance literacy instruction, offering practical guidance for educators to design engaging, curriculum-aligned digital learning experiences that align with the Merdeka Curriculum and 21st-century competencies.Highlight : Improves Reading Skills: E-comic fables with PjBL significantly enhance interpretive reading ability.
