Abstract

The fuel oil energy source used is currently experiencing a fuel supply shortage, so it is necessary to have alternative energy sources with renewable and environmentally friendly raw materials to anticipate the increasingly depleting oil fuel sources. One of them is utilizing biomass energy with agricultural waste as raw material which is processed into briquettes. The material used in this research is palm oil shells using tapioca adhesive which will be processed into briquettes as an alternative fuel. Through the process of making briquette products with variations in the composition of the mixture provided, quality calorific value can be achieved. The research results showed that the highest calorific value of palm oil shell briquettes was found in the 80% : 20% mixture variation, namely 13428.5904 Kj/Kg, and the lowest calorific value was found in the 60% : 40% mixture variation, namely 9139.76928 Kj/Kg .

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) has significantly transformed the landscape of education, including in the context of vocational education. Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), particularly the Department of Automotive Engineering, has made efforts to adapt the curriculum and learning methods to bridge the gap between education and industry demands. However, in its implementation, there are still challenges that need to be addressed, especially in the Automotive Electronics Electricity course. This study aims to validate the Rifdarmon E-Learning Model in the Automotive Electronics Electricity course through SEM-PLS and CB-SEM analysis using SmartPLS 4. The research employed a quantitative approach using two analysis methods: Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) and Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM). Data were collected from 50 validators comprising experts in educational technology, learning models, and learning media using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. The model validation focused on four key syntaxes: Reciprocal Teaching (RT), Mentoring Peers (MP), Organizing Findings (OF), and Narrating Outcomes (NO). The SEM-PLS analysis demonstrated strong construct validity with satisfactory Composite Reliability (CR), Cronbach's Alpha, and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values across all syntaxes. The CB-SEM analysis further confirmed the model's structural validity with positive outer loading values and good model fit indices. These comprehensive validation results indicate that the Rifdarmon E-Learning Model is both valid and reliable, making it suitable for implementation to enhance learning outcomes and develop students' 4C skills in Automotive Electronics Electricity education.

Abstract

This article evaluates the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at SMK Negeri 1 Suliki within the framework of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The study aims to assess the alignment of P5 execution with official educational guidelines and identify challenges in its implementation. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from 158 students and key stakeholders, applying the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The findings reveal a strong alignment between P5 objectives and the school’s vision, yet highlight significant challenges, including limited teacher understanding, inadequate resources, and inconsistent student engagement. The study also highlights the role of P5 activities in fostering competencies related to STEM-based learning approaches, crucial for preparing vocational students for 21st-century challenges. Recommendations for improvement include enhanced educator training, resource allocation, and fostering a supportive school culture. This evaluation provides a comprehensive overview of P5 implementation, contributing to the ongoing discourse on educational quality in vocational schools.

Abstract

The State Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Berastagi is a tourism cluster school that in the learning process is still conventional, so the learning results of batik have not met the competency standards. This is indicated because students do not have a background in batik. Knowledge development introduces modules as alternative teaching materials that are able to improve student learning outcomes effectively and efficiently. The purpose of this research is to, 1) produce valid, practical and effective batik learning e-modules, 2) develop learning e-modules on batik materials for Vocational High Schools. This type of research is Research and Development, with the achievement of designing and making batik e-modules, then the results of validity, practicality and effectiveness tests, with data analysis techniques consisting of validity, practicality and effectiveness analysis. The data was analyzed using the Likert scale, the object of the research was grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Berastagi. The data from the research results obtained shows that the batik learning e-modules produced in the valid, practical and effective categories both in terms of the feasibility of the content of the e-module, the language of the e-module, the presentation of the e-module and the graphics of the e-module. It can be concluded that the batik learning e-module is worthy of being used as an alternative reference material in the development of the Batik e-module.
