Abstract

Various studies and facts show that a developed nation is a nation whose character is strong. The integration of local wisdom culture is important to be developed into learning materials because it has a high potential to be utilized in developing the character of students. West Sulawesi Province can be one example. Mandar people living in the province have various cultures and philosophies of cultural diversity which are called the "Malaqbiq Tau Mandar". It is a cultural role model and a moral principle for the Mandar people of West Sulawesi. However, as time goes by, the cultural character of Malaqbiq Tau Mandar tends to be neglected, especially in the learning process in class. This can be seen in the lack of students. Therefore, this study aims to explore the character education values of Malaqbiq Tau Mandar as the basis to develop student character building at the University of West Sulawesi. This study was designed as a qualitative study using an ethnopedagogical approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusions. From the results of the study, it was revealed that the Malaqbiq Tau Mandar culture contains the following educational values: Malaqbiq pau. Second, Malaqbiq kedzo. Third, Malaqbiq sipaq, and fourth, Malaqbiq gauq (having a good spiritual level and good behavior or morals). In conclusion, Malaqbiq Tau Mandar's (MTM) character culture plays an important role in character education. Therefore, its good values should be integrated into the learning process to improve student character.

Abstract

Digital literacy (X1) and collaboration skills (X2) related to environmental literacy (Y) are the superior characteristics to use digital and to work together in solving various environmental issues. This study aims to determine the relationship between X1 and X2 with Y class X students at SMAN 2 Malang. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research types and linear regression tests. The sample used was class X LMT-1 Biology with 33 students consisting of students majoring in Social Sciences and Languages. The instruments used were the X1 questionnaire, the X2 questionnaire, and the Y questionnaire. The results of the study showed that then correlation coefficient values X1Y, X2Y, X1X2, X1X2Y respectively 0.125: 0.401; 0.593; 1.119. From the overall results of the data analysis, it was found that digital literacy and environmental literacy have a very weak correlation. Collaboration skills and environmental literacy are sufficiently correlated. Digital literacy and collaboration skills have a strong correlation. Digital literacy and collaboration skills provide a perfect or very strong correlation to environmental literacy.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between technology literacy and communication skills in environmental literacy of class X SMAN 2 Malang. The methods using survey research with a correlational design to determine the relationship. Research subjects selected using simple random sampling. The subjects are 34 class X students of SMAN 2 Malang in social sciences and language majors. The research instruments are questionnaires on technology literacy and communication skills, and environmental literacy questionnaires and tests. Data analysis includes prerequisite, correlation and regression tests. The results showed that the values of technology literacy, communication skills, and environmental literacy are classified in the high category. The correlation between technology literacy and environmental literacy is -0.007 classified as very low category, the correlation between communication skills and environmental literacy is -0.207 classified as very low category, the correlation between technology literacy and communication skills is -0.903 classified as very strong category, and the correlation between technology literacy and communication skills together with environmental literacy is 0.048 classified as very low category.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kurikulum 2013 menggunakan pendekatan saintifik (scientific approach) dalam prosespembelajaran pada semua mata pelajaran termasuk mata pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran berpendekatan saintifik menggunakan model Sains Tekonoogi Masyarakat (STM). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, siklus I materi pencemaran lingkungan, sedangkan siklus II materi limbah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat pada ranah sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Hasil belajar sikap peduli lingkungan berdasarkan nilai rata-rata tes siklus I sebesar 73,4 dan siklus II sebesar 84,6, hasil belajar kognitif berdasarkan nilai rata-rata tes siklus I sebesar 67,7 dan siklus II sebesar 83,3, serta hasil tes keterampilan proses sains berdasarkan nilai rata-rata tes siklus I sebesar 80,0 dan siklus II sebesar 82,2.

Abstract

Low literacy levels are believed to be one of the causes of environmental damage problems. It is felt that the current implementation of the problem-based learning model is still not optimal in increasing students' environmental literacy, especially regarding sustainable issues. This research aims to (1) produce a sustainable issue-based learning model, and (2) test the level of validity and reliability of the model. The research was carried out at Malang State University and PGRI University Semarang involving biology learning experts, educational technology experts, and environmental experts as research subjects. The instrument in this research is an expert validation sheet. Validation results were analyzed using the average score while reliability was analyzed using percentage agreement. The research results show that the development of PBIB syntax including orientation, concept strengthening, observation, investigation, report, and reflection is classified as valid with a score of 3.87, while the reliability is 3.88 (reliable). This research indicates that the PBIB model can be used in learning and potentially increase students' environmental literacy.

Abstract

The link between problem solving skills (X1) and social attitudes (X2) and environmental literacy (Y) is a skill needed by someone to develop attitudes in maintaining a balance between quality of life, environmental quality, and solving environmental problems. This research uses survey research methods. The research design used in this research is a correlational design. The purpose of this study was to determine the linkage between X1 and X2 with Y of 10th grade students at SMAN 7 Malang. This research was conducted at SMAN 7 Malang with 33 respondents from 10th grade students. The analysis of research data using Pearson correlation with a significance value of 0.05. The results of the study obtained an average value of X1 of 55.87, X2 of 79.35, and Y of 69.05. The correlation value of the significance level of X1Y, X2Y, X1X2, X1X2Y is 0.008; 0.951; 0.510; 0.028. The correlation coefficient values of X1Y, X2Y, X1X2, X1X2Y are respectively 0.461; -0.045; -0.119; 0.461. Analysis of the contribution path from X1 provides an effective contribution of 21.34%, X2 provides an effective contribution of -0.045%, while X1X2Y together makes an effective contribution of 21.29%. There is a contribution of 78.71% from other factors (Z). The relationship pattern, suggest that the biggest effective contribution to Y is X1, while X2 must be together with X1 to affect Y effectively.

Abstract

Abstract: Waste management by composting is an alternative way that is considered most appropriate to deal with the problems of wet domestic waste. The purpose of this study was to develop a user guide for the experiment of composting wet domestic waste for the subject Environmental Change/Climate and Waste Recycling for 10th grade SMA/MA and to evaluate the effects of the use of rotten pineapple extract as the starter with the concentrations of 0%, 25%, 50 %, and 75% in the length of time of composting process. MAN 3 Malang was one of the schools in the city of Malang that had implemented Curriculum 2013, which contained the particular topic for the 10th grade. The results of the validation from materials experts, media specialists, and field experts resulted in the score of 94%, 93%, 99% respectively, and the test results from the students obtained the percentage of 91%. Based on the validation results it was concluded that the teaching materials were suitable as an alternative instructional materials in the teaching of Biology for class X IPA. The results of experimental studies indicated that the starter from the rotten pineapple extract in concentrations 75% was the most effective in speeding up the composting process.Keywords: rotten pineapple extract, user guide experimental composting, wet domestic wasteAbstrak: Teknik pengelolaan sampah dengan pengomposan merupakan alternatif penanganan yang dianggap paling sesuai untuk menangani permasalahan sampah basah rumah tangga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengembangkan buku petunjuk percobaan pengomposan sampah basah rumah tangga pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan/Iklim dan Daur Ulang Limbah untuk siswa kelas X SMA/MA; (2) untuk meneliti pengaruh pemberian starter sari nanas busuk dalam konsentrasi 0%, 25%, 50%, dan 75% terhadap lama waktu pengomposan. Hasil penilaian angket validasi ahli materi, ahli media, ahli lapangan terhadap bahan ajar berturut-turut memperoleh persentase skor sebesar 94%, 93%, 99% dan hasil uji coba pada siswa mendapatkan persentase sebesar 91%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi para ahli tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa bahan ajar layak digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran Biologi kelas X IPA. Hasil penelitian eksperimen menunjukkan konsentrasi starter sari nanas busuk 75% efektif dalam mempercepat proses pengomposan.Kata kunci: buku petunjuk percobaan pengomposan, sampah basah, sari nanas busuk

Abstract

Keterampilan berkomunikasi yang efektif baik secara oral maupun tertulis merupakan salah satu kompetensi dalam menghadapi kehidupan di abad ke-21. Berdasarkan pengalaman membina matakuliah Pengembangan Profesi Guru, ditemukan mahasiswa kurang terampil dalam berkomunikasi, baik secara oral maupun tertulis. Pembelajaran berbasis berbasis masalah dengan metode Hybrid Learning dapat menjadi solusinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan metode Hybrid Learning terhadap keterampilan komunikasi mahasiswa pada matakuliah Pengembangan Profesi Guru. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini dilakukan pada 2 kelas matakuliah Pengembangan Profesi Guru. Pengumpulan data keterampilan komunikasi dilakukan dengan rubrik observasi keterampilan komunikasi mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskripstif dan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan metode hybrid learning tidak menimbulkan perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan komunikasi mahasiswa di kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen, khususnya di aspek konten serta tampilan dan informasi.  keterampilan komunikasi, khususnya aspek orientasi dan sintaks, pada mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada mahasiswa kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Abstrak. Self efficacy dalam kaitannya dengan literasi lingkungan adalah penilaian individu terhadap kemampuan diri sendiri dalam mengambil sikap dan tindakan yang diyakininya benar untuk memecahkan permasalahan lingkungan. Literasi lingkungan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian manusia terhadap lingkungan melalui sikap dan perilaku positif dalam berinteraksi dengan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan self efficacy dan literasi lingkungan siswa jurusan MIPA dan IPS di SMA Negeri 9 Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  siswa kelas XI dan XII jurusan MIPA dan IPS SMA Negeri 9 Malang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes self efficacy dan literasi lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai self efficacy siswa jurusan MIPA dan IPS yakni 65,8 dan 62,8, sedangkan rata-rata nilai tes literasi lingkungan adalah 278,95 dan 257,97.Abstract. Environmental literacy aims to increase human awareness of the environment through positive attitudes and behaviors in interacting with the environment. This study aims to determine the differences in self-efficacy and environmental literacy of students majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences at SMA Negeri 9 Malang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The samples used in this study were students of class XI and XII majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Social Sciences at SMA Negeri 9 Malang. The sampling technique was done by stratified random sampling. The instruments used are self-efficacy and environmental literacy tests. The results showed that there were differences in the average self-efficacy scores of students majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, namely 65.8 and 62.8, while the average environmental literacy test scores were 278.95 and 257.97.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menyusun E-Module berbasis DPBL pada materi keanekaragaman hayati yang valid dan praktis. Produk yang dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan Lee & Owens. Subjek penelitian dan pengembangan adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA 3 di SMAN 8 Malang. Data diperoleh dari uji validitas oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi pendidikan biologi, serta uji kepraktisan dari angket respon peserta didik. Hasil validasi ahli materi menunjukkan persentase 81,3% (tahap 1) dan diperbaiki hingga persentase 100% (tahap 2). Hasil validasi ahli media menunjukkan persentase 93,5%. Hasil validasi praktisi pendidikan biologi menunjukkan persentase 80% (tahap 1) dan diperbaiki hingga persentase 100% (tahap 2). Uji kepraktisan memperoleh hasil 84,3% pada one-to-one trial, 85,8% pada small group trial, 87,5% pada field trial, dan 83,3% pada conduct pilot test. Hasil dari tiap uji menunjukkan bahwa E-Module sangat valid dan sangat praktis sehingga dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Abstract. This research and development aims to develop a DPBL-based E-Module on valid and practical biodiversity materials. Products developed using the Lee & Owens development model. The research and development subjects were students of class X MIPA 3 at SMAN 8 Malang. Data were obtained from validity tests by material experts, media experts, and biology education practitioners, as well as practicality tests from student response questionnaires. The results of the material expert validation showed a percentage of 81.3% (stage 1) and was improved to a percentage of 100% (stage 2). The results of media expert validation showed the percentage of 93.5%. The results of the validation of biology education practitioners showed a percentage of 80% (stage 1) and improved to a percentage of 100% (stage 2). The practicality test yielded 84.3% in the one-to-one trial, 85.8% in the small group trial, 87.5% in the field trial, and 83.3% in the conduct pilot test. The results of each test show that the E-Module is very valid and very practical so that it can be used in learning activities.
