Abstract

This paper explores al-Faruqi's thoughts on the Islamization of knowledge and evaluates the significance of his ideas in the Islamic educational context. The study employs a comprehensive review of al-Faruqi's writings and contributions to the discourse on the related concept. To establish a comprehensive understanding, the discussion begins with the history of how the ideas on the Islamization of knowledge emerged. Subsequently, it explains al-Faruqi’s concept of Islamization of knowledge, suggesting that all disciplines comprising the humanities, the social, and the natural sciences must be Islamic-based and consistent with Islamic objectives. Furthermore, this paper delves into solving the education problem and the principles of the Islamization of knowledge by discussing the work plans employed. His most remarkable work plan is creating a university textbook tailored to the discipline, incorporating new insight on the meaning of Islam and innovative approaches to realizing that meaning. Fundamentally, the research highlights how al-Faruqi has greatly influenced the development of Islamic education by integrating Islamic principles into knowledge

Abstract

Stunting, a growth disorder caused by malnutrition, has a long-term impact on children's health and development. Pemantauan the development of physical parameters such as height, weight, head circumference and upper arm circumference, as well as changes in growth patterns, is an effective method for early detection of stunting. These measurements help identify stunted growth or signs of nutritional deficiencies. Integrated data collection and pemantauan applications play an important role in optimizing this process. Data recording is more accurate and has historical records that allow for analysis of child growth. Using the data obtained, health service providers such as posyuandu can identify children at risk of stunting and respond with appropriate actions. data collection applications can increase the involvement of parents and community members by providing easily accessible and useful information related to children's health. This supports prevention efforts and encourages communication between families, health workers and related institutions. This effort not only contributes to the health of individual children but also plays a role in improving the health of society as a whole through a prevention approach based on data obtained and integrated between parts of society.

Abstract

Divorce is a global phenomenon with significant implications for children's rights. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the fulfillment of children's rights after divorce in five countries with different legal systems: Qatar, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Jordan. The research employs a normative juridical method with a comparative legal research approach through literature review and legal document analysis. The findings reveal that each country has a unique mechanism for ensuring children's rights after divorce. Diverse legal systems—ranging from common law, civil law, to Islamic law—lead to variations in approaches to ensuring custody, care, and protection for children. The study identifies four critical dimensions in fulfilling children's rights: the right to survival and development, the right to protection, the right to education, and the right to participation. The comparative analysis highlights that cultural factors, legal systems, and political commitment play a fundamental role in determining the effectiveness of child rights protection after divorce. Key recommendations of this study include the need for regulatory harmonization, strengthening enforcement mechanisms, and developing sustainable monitoring systems. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions to understanding the complexity of fulfilling children's rights across global legal systems.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystem in Segara Anakan Lagoon (SAL) Cilacap as a typical and specific semiclosed estuary. SAL  is dominated by many species like as Rhizophora spp., Sonneratia spp., Bruguiera spp., Avicennia spp., and other species. The normalized different vegetation index (NDVI) and dominant vegetation index (DVI) are a suitable method to support the mapping analysis of mangrove structure and mangrove density.  This research aimed to develop mapping of mangrove species distribution, density and dominated species using NDVI and DVI.  The method of this research used NDVI analysis using satellite imagery 2017-2020 and domination vegetation with line and quadrat transect method. The results showed that  West Segara Anakan had mangrove dense (25 %), moderate density (25 %), rare density (50%) and East Segara Anakan had mangrove dense (43,86 %), moderate density (47.99 %), rare density (8,24 %).  Based on domination species showed that East Segara Anakan was dominated by Rhizophora stylosa (233-1633 trees ha-1), Rhizophora apiculata (100-1067 trees ha-1), Nypa frutican (50-2775 trees ha-1), whereas West Segara Anakan was dominated by Nypa frutican (565-2333 trees ha-1), Avicennia marina (198-933 trees ha-1), Sonneratia caseolaris  (132-700 trees ha-1) and Avicennia alba (107-1000 trees ha-1). Keywords : Mangrove density, mapping analysis, Segara Anakan Lagoon, NDVI and NDWI

Abstract

The study is focused on exploring the engagement of Islamic Religious Education teachers of primary schools in Semarang in instilling religious moderation.  It specifically examines aspects such as the teachers’ comprehension of religious moderation, their commitment, their effort and their obstacles in instilling religious moderation. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, gathering data through interview, questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The findings revealed that while most of the Islamic Religious Education teachers of primary schools in Semarang participating in this study had a good understanding of religious moderation, some teachers still did not understand the concept of religious moderation comprehensively.  Although most teachers had a serious commitment and had begun the process of introducing religious moderation to students, a small number of others admitted that they were just about to do so.  The teachers made efforts differently in instilling religious moderation to the students, including among others, inserting messages of religious moderation and encouraging student to practice the values of religious moderation both in learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom.  Most teachers encountered obstacles in their struggles to instill religious moderation in students, both internal and external. Internally, the children were noisy and did not focus on listening to the teacher’s explanation. Externally, the time provided by the school is very limited.  Based on the findings, this study suggests the need for a serious training to strengthen competency in religious moderation and its implementation for Islamic religious education teachers in elementary schools.
