Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students’ religious character as an effort to overcome the negative impacts of digital media on elementary school students. The rapid development of digital technology has influenced students’ behavior, learning motivation, communication patterns, and spiritual attitudes, especially at the elementary level, where children are more vulnerable to uncontrolled digital exposure. This study used a descriptive qualitative method conducted at SD Negeri 1 Karanggude. The findings show that the PAI teacher carries out three essential roles as a muallim, murabbi, and muaddib through knowledge transfer, habituation of religious practices, and character cultivation based on Islamic values. Various strategies are employed, including integrating religious values into learning, strengthening daily routines such as prayer and recitation, providing exemplary behavior, and developing emotional closeness with students. These efforts effectively foster students’ religious character and reduce negative digital influences such as reduced discipline, weakened worship habits, and inappropriate communication patterns. The study concludes that the role of the PAI teacher is crucial in guiding students amidst the challenges of the digital era through holistic and value-based character education.   Keywords: Digital media, Islamic religious education teacher, religious character, elementary school, character formation.

Abstract

Statistical literacy is a fundamental competency for Disaster Management students, as disaster-related decision-making relies heavily on the analysis of risk, vulnerability, capacity, and disaster impact data. However, various studies and learning experiences indicate that students still face difficulties in understanding applied statistical concepts and operating data analysis software such as the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). This community service activity aims to improve the statistical literacy of Disaster Management students through structured, practical, and disaster-contextualized SPSS training. The implementation method includes stages of needs analysis, training module design, hands-on practice–based training, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity show a significant improvement in students’ understanding of basic statistical concepts, their ability to process and analyze disaster-related data using SPSS, as well as increased confidence in preparing data-driven scientific reports. This program is expected to contribute to improving the quality of human resources in the field of disaster management by promoting evidence-based decision making.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to higher education, particularly in the way students access, process, and utilize digital information. One rapidly advancing AI technology is ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence–based language model capable of supporting learning processes, academic writing, basic data analysis, and problem solving. However, the use of ChatGPT among students still faces various challenges, such as low levels of critical digital literacy, the potential misuse of technology, and a lack of understanding of academic ethics. This community service activity aims to enhance students’ digital literacy through training on the critical, ethical, and productive use of AI-based ChatGPT. The implementation methods include needs analysis, development of training modules, hands-on practice–based training, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ understanding of AI concepts, their ability to use ChatGPT responsibly, and the enhancement of digital literacy skills in an academic context. This activity is expected to support the strengthening of student competencies in facing digital transformation in higher education.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the Apis cerana honey supply chain faces structural challenges, including low producer digital literacy, limited market access, and dependence on intermediaries. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the Apis cerana honey distribution supply chain and to establish a digitalisation system that incorporates text notifications and e-commerce to increase farmers’ income. The research employed a survey methodology, utilising primary data collectedthrough questionnaires, interviews, and field observations of honey farmers in Kretek Village, Bondowoso. We calculatedthe marketing margins and the farmer’s share across three distribution channels to determine their efficiency. The results showed that the traditional channel (Channel I) had the highest marketing margin and the lowest farmer’s share. In contrast, the use of e-commerce (Channel III) increased the farmer’s share by more than 40% by eliminating twomarketing institutions: distributors and retailers. The push notification system was effective in accelerating the exchange of information between producers and consumers and encouraging repeat purchases from the same store. This studycontributes to the formulation of an effective and sustainable supply chain model for Apis cerana honey producers, aligned with SDG Target 8 concerning decent labour and economic growth.

Abstract

Disaster-prone regions face serious challenges in maintaining economic sustainability and stability due to repeated disruptions to production systems, distribution networks, and community livelihoods. Economic resilience is a key element of sustainable development, particularly in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Along with the rapid development of Information Technology (IT), strategic opportunities have emerged to strengthen the capacity of disaster-prone areas to anticipate, respond to, and recover economic activities. This article aims to systematically examine the role of Information Technology in supporting the economic resilience of disaster-prone regions through an SDGs-based literature review approach. The method employed is a systematic literature review of reputable national and international journals published between 2015 and 2025. The findings indicate that IT plays a significant role in three main phases of disaster management: economic risk mitigation through information systems and early warning systems; strengthening economic response during disasters through communication technologies and digital platforms; and accelerating post-disaster economic recovery through MSME digitalization, fintech, and data-driven economic approaches. Nevertheless, the digital divide, limited infrastructure, low levels of technological literacy, and data security issues remain major challenges in implementing IT in disaster-prone areas. This article recommends the integration of digital transformation policies with disaster risk reduction strategies and sustainable economic development to strengthen SDGs-based economic resilience.

Abstract

The changes in sectors and linkages in Indonesian economy have been changing thus affecting the structure. This study aims to evaluate the changes in the nation's economic structure by focusing 011 the development of intra/inter sectors and intra/inter regions linkage using Interregional Input-Output (IRIO) model in 1995 and 2000 data. The model analyzes the changes by applying the concept of technical coefficient stability, testing changes on the coefficients, and exploring the basic IRIO model. The study found that there has been a significant decrease of relative relationship between sectors and regions in Indonesian economy albeit of seemingly in significant. Further, the analysis in intra and inter regions showed that an increase in intra regions relationship has not been significant meanwhile the decrease of inter regions relationship has been significant. The studies also revealed that industry was a high potential sector in national development priorities not only because of its high multiplier but also its role in strengthening and increasing the interactions of intra/inter sectors and intra/inter regions.

Abstract

This study tries to measure the optimum size of regional government (municipality/city) which will support the accomplishment of decentralization policy's objectives. The result of this study will conclude how the reformation pattern toward regional government in Indonesia should be done. The result of regressing translog and quadratic functions using cost per capita minimization approach shows the existence ofeconomy of scale from the size ofmunicipality/city's population. Using maximization approach, it is also shown that Municipality/city government expenditure is not efficient yet and has not supported the efforts to accomplish the desired development performance. With various regulations, the significant variable used in the measurement ofoptimum size is the number ofpopulation. The result of using minimization and maximization approaches show that the optimum size for municipality/city is not single (differ), between municipality and city, among each kind of per capita expenditure, and across time. Generally, the optimum and minimum size of population for municipality/city such that per capita expenditure can be minimized and such that Regional GDP per capita increases are approximately two million people. The reality of municipality/city's size which in general is relatively small compared to the optimum and minimum measurement shows the inefficiency of municipality/city government expenditure, and its ineffectiveness to support the effort to enhance the welfare ofsociety. Hence, territory extension policy performed this far, is actually worsen the accomplishment of its main objective on conducting regional government and development.
