Abstract

Abstract: Internet has become important things in human lives. Nowadays, some of people added internet as their primary needs. Consumer purchase decision is the process involved when individuals or groups select, purchase, use or dispose products, services or experience and ideas to satisfy their needs It is important because in understanding customer decision making, we will understand how consumer make the purchase decision, how the process of decision making by customer from searching until selecting the product or service, and also we can know the factors that influence the decision making. Based on five criteria (restaurant price, usefulness, ease of use, enjoyment and speed), speed become the most influence to attract consumer followed by price. This research used quantitative method. Quantitative research seeks to quantify the data. The method used in this research is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP is a method for ranking decision alternatives and selecting the best one given multiple criteria. It allows users to assess the relative weight of multiple criteria or multiple options against given criteria in an intuitive manner.Keywords: customer decision making, analytical hierarchy process

Abstract

Entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial self-efficacy are considered as important factors affecting the intention to step into the process of entrepreneurship. Despite the large number of studies on entrepreneurial intention among university students, there is a lack understanding of factors that lead entrepreneurial intention among engineering students. This research aims to examine the factors that contribute entrepreneurial intention in entrepreneurship by using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) of Fishbein and Ajzein. This study was conducted in University of Sam Ratulangi particularly in Faculty of Business and Economics, International business Administration Program at Manado. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result shows that the theory of planned behavior is proven averagely significant to predict students’ entrepreneurial intention simultaneously in University of Sam Ratulangi International business Administration Program. Among the three determinants in TPB that were examined, the highest mean score was recorded is perceived behavioral control. Abstract

Abstact : Internet growth has a positive impact for business world. With the increase of online retailers on internet world, online shopping becomes popular. The purpose of this research is to analyze the trust issues and perceived risk of online shopping in Manado. This research used a descriptive study method was conducted qualitatively through in-depth interview with 10 respondent’s online shoppers in Manado. All the data and information gathered was analyzed using tri-angulations which data were gathered from the interview with difference informants, different place of observation, and review from several literatures of various researchers. The result of this research is trust and perceived risk affect online shopping, the higher consumer confidence against an existing site online will make them will often do online shopping, the smaller the risk though by consumers then the greater their decision to make a purchase online. So the online store must provide good service so that consumers continue to believe and will not feel aggrieved when shopping online.Keywords : trust, perceived risk, online shopping

Abstract

Abstrak: Setiap organisasi selalu berusaha untuk mencapai tujuannya, sehingga, mereka harus berkonsentrasi pada beberapa aspek. Salah satunya adalah sumber daya manusia (SDM) organisasi yang dipandang sebagai sumber penting. Organisasi diharapkan untuk selalu menjaga tenaga kerja yang terlatih dengan baik dan efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Kepuasan kerja dan Lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan Hotel Top Manado dengan total karyawan 30 orang. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara simultan kepuasan kerja dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Secara parsial kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Secara parsial lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sebaiknya Hotel Top Manado memperhatikan tingkat harmonisasi karyawan, yang juga gunanya untuk menaikkan kinerja mereka, perlu lebih ditambahkan keadaan-keadaan yang dimana kepuasan kerja bisa meningkat contohnya setiap pegawai diberikan apresiasi lebih dan tidak dibedakan per tingkatannya. Kata Kunci: kepuasan kerja, lingkungan kerja, kinerja karyawan

Abstract

Growth of economy on the country shows the growth of the country. It can be seen from several elements. Stock market is one of the elements that play the vital role of economic. Stock market has purpose to play the important thing of economic and industry growth of the country and also as a measurement that the sector industry growth well as the growth of economy with their performance. There are several macroeconomic indicators used to compare the stock exchange performance between two countries. This study aimed to compare stock exchange performance based on macroeconomics indicators such as inflation of Consumer Price Index (annual %), Real Interest rate and PPP conversion factor (GDP) to market exchange rate ratio between two countries namely Indonesia and Malaysia during the period of year 2003 until 2012. The type of this research is comparative study with secondary data collection techniques. Independent Sample t-test was used to test the average difference. The conclusion of this study is there is a different of stock exchange performance between Indonesia and Malaysia that based on inflation. There is no different of stock exchange performance between Indonesia and Malaysia based on interest rate and exchange rate. Abstract

 ABSTRACT: Nowdays, every organization definitely strive to improving its employee performance. Organization needs to make their employees work in the maximum of their capabilities. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of job rotation and training on employee performance. The data was analyze quantitatively with multiple regression analysis method. This research is causal type of research which uses primary data obtained through questionnaires. The respondents of this research are the permanent employees in PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Manado with sample size as many as 100 respondents. The result of this study shows that Job Rotation has no significant influence on employee performance and Training has positive significant influence on employee performance. PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Manado should be more concerned to manage job rotation program, to prevent the dissatifaction of employee. And should keep up the training program in order to maintain employee performance to the better level. KEYWORDS: Job Rotation, Training, Employee Performance

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The growth of hypermarket business is enormously fast in Indonesia. Being an original Indonesian hypermarket retailer, Hypermart was able to compete with foreign retailers and become number one with its presence in more than 60 cities across the country. This research is aimed to identify the factors that drive consumer purchasing on Hypermart Manado using Factor Analysis for data reduction that summarizes the observed factors. The population observed is consumers of Hypermart Manado with 100 respondents as the sample size. The result of this study shows that good location, discount, and brand image are three most dominant out of seventeen factors tested. The recommendations for the company are to keep in mind a strategic location when opening new branches, offer discount to attract more purchases and maintain a good brand image, because these three factors are what drive consumer purchase decision in Hypermart Manado. Keywords: hypermarket, retail business, consumer purchase decision

Abstract

Abstract: Small and Medium Enterprises are the backbone of  major economy and empirical studies prove that small firms are more efficient and innovative in their operation, product development and marketing strategies. The objective in this study is to analyze marketing strategies of SME’s running entrepreneurs in Touliang Oki village. This study is qualitative studied about Marketing Strategy of Small and Medium Size Enterprises. A field survey method was faced to faced interviews were recorded to analyze the marketing strategies of Micro Sall Medium Enterprise Touliang Oki is one of the village in Minahasa, North Sulawesi. Most of them produce Furniture froom wood. Marketing strategy that they use is door to door and online shopping (facebook and whatsapp) strategy. Their innovations were in the shape of unique designs that not only meet the need of customers. Their services are innovative in a sense that they satisfy the customers. They also faced barriers like lack of raw material in this case they are used wood for the raw material and also they are still use standard machine makes their production is not maximal. Findings suggest to build initiatives some programs for students and lecturers to become business consultant of SME in Indonesia.Keywords: marketing strategy, micro, small, medium enterprise

Abstract

Trends in wedding business is being exported globally. There is market opportunity to make the proliferation of event organizer business to become wedding organizer. The Wedding organizer business is needed at this time for the success of wedding preparation and ceremony. Now social influences are not new to the wedding industry because most of the time couples, especially brides-to-be, are consulting to external parties in order to acquire ideas and suggestions on how to enrich the context and design of the wedding celebration. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of social factors on customers purchase intention in using wedding organizer in Manado. The research method used in this research is associated with multiple linear regression analysis, and the sample of 60 respondents were taken from couples-to-be and married couples. The result reveales that reference groups, family, and roles & status have a significant influence and family is the most dominant to the customers purchase intention in using wedding organizers. The role of parents are very important and influential. At certain ages, young people cannot generate their own income so family automatically becomes a source of funds in facilitating customers in purchase wedding organizers.   Keywords: reference group, family, roles and status, purchase intention

Abstract

Coffee is one global community of beverage that is consumed by many people in this world. The Consumer Perception on Brand, especially for coffee commodity, is changed based on the understanding of Promotion Perception, Product Perception, Price Perception, Store Perception, Self-perception and Perception Risk. In this research, the main objective is to figure out whether there is any significant difference for Consumer Perception on Brand concept between Luwak White Coffee consumers and Value Plus Coffee consumers in Manado. For accomplishing this essential purpose, the Independent Sample t-test is employed to tabulate the obtained analyzed data. The results in this current research, it is found out that Luwak White Coffee consumers has the more dominant influence for the perception of Product Perception, Price Perception and Self-perception for packaged coffee products and Value Plus Coffee consumers has the more dominant influence for the perception of Promotion Perception, Store Perception and Perception Risk and the Consumer Perception on Brand for packaged coffee products; and there is no significant difference for Promotion Perception factor, Product Perception factor, Price Perception factor, Store Perception factor, Self-perception factor, Perception Risk factor and the Consumer Perception on Brand factor between Luwak White Coffee consumers and Value Plus Coffee consumers in Manado.
