Abstract

Nurses occupy a strategic position in hospital service quality due to their intensive, continuous interaction with patients, yet high workloads in complex healthcare settings often threaten their psychological wellbeing and job satisfaction. This study aims to examine the influence of resilience and social support on nurses' job satisfaction at RS YARSI Central Jakarta, with sleep quality and mental support serving as mediating variables, and to test twelve hypotheses derived from these relationships. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed, using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analyzed through SmartPLS 4.0. Data were collected from 160 active nurses selected through purposive sampling via a structured Likert-scale questionnaire measuring resilience, social support, sleep quality, mental support, and job satisfaction. The results show that resilience and social support each have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, sleep quality, and mental support. Mental support significantly mediates the relationship between resilience and job satisfaction, as well as between social support and job satisfaction. However, sleep quality does not significantly mediate either relationship, nor does it show a significant direct effect on job satisfaction, indicating that psychosocial pathways are more dominant than physiological ones in shaping nurses' job satisfaction in this context. These findings suggest that hospital management should prioritize strengthening resilience-building programs and workplace mental support systems—such as supervisory communication, peer support, and psychological counseling—over relying solely on sleep-related interventions to enhance nurses' job satisfaction and, ultimately, retention and service quality at RS YARSI.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of entrepreneurship education and digital literacy on entrepreneurial interest among Business Education students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, involving 197 students selected through quota sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a 6-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant partial effect on entrepreneurial interest (t = 4.973; p < 0.001). Digital literacy also has a positive and significant partial effect on entrepreneurial interest (t = 3.432; p < 0.001). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence entrepreneurial interest (F = 121.296; p < 0.001). The Adjusted R² value of 0.551 indicates that both variables together explain 55.1% of the variation in entrepreneurial interest, while the remaining 44.9% is influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings confirm that entrepreneurship education and digital literacy are strategic factors that complement each other in fostering students' entrepreneurial interest in the digital era. This study contributes to the development of literature in entrepreneurship education and provides considerations for educational institutions in designing curricula that better support the development of students' entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

The cosmetics industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth along with increasing consumer awareness of self-care and the expansion of digital platforms. This study aims to examine the effect of social media marketing, price discount, and product quality on purchase intention toward the Mad For Makeup brand. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 162 respondents who are beauty enthusiasts in West Java and have been exposed to Mad For Makeup’s social media content. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 31, including validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Among them, product quality is the most dominant factor influencing purchase intention, followed by price discount and social media marketing. These findings suggest that while digital marketing activities and promotional strategies contribute to consumer interest, product quality remains the key determinant in shaping purchase intention in the cosmetics industry. The study provides practical implications for cosmetic brands to strengthen product quality while maintaining effective social media engagement and competitive pricing strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work motivation on teacher performance with work quality as an intervening variable among vocational high schools (SMKs) in Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The population consisted of 304 teachers from 15 vocational high schools, with a sample of 173 respondents determined using the Yamane formula with a 5% margin of error and proportionate random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3. The results showed that compensation had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, work quality, and teacher performance through work quality as an intervening variable. Work motivation also had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and work quality, as well as a positive and significant indirect effect on teacher performance through work quality as an intervening variable. The strongest direct effect was found in the relationship between work quality and teacher performance, with a path coefficient of 0.803. These findings indicate that improving teacher performance is influenced not only by compensation and work motivation directly but also through the improvement of work quality as an important mechanism in enhancing teacher performance.

Abstract

This study examined the lack of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Functional Officials for Industrial Development (PFPI) at the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency (Badan Standardisasi dan Kebijakan Jasa Industri [BSKJI]), Ministry of Industry, which currently hinders the achievement of national industrial development objectives. The purpose of this study was to investigate the direct and indirect effects of self-efficacy, organizational culture, and knowledge sharing on OCB, with work motivation as a mediating variable. Data were collected from 205 randomly selected PFPI officials through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS through a quantitative explanatory research approach. The results showed that self-efficacy, organizational culture, and knowledge sharing significantly improved OCB, both directly and indirectly. Work motivation partially mediated all examined relationships. Work motivation emerged as the strongest direct predictor of OCB, while organizational culture was the primary factor influencing work motivation and demonstrated the greatest cumulative effect on OCB. This study concludes that a holistic approach is required to enhance OCB. The findings imply that management should prioritize the development of a supportive organizational culture and the establishment of structured knowledge-sharing platforms to strengthen work motivation, thereby encouraging voluntary extra-role behaviors that contribute to institutional success.

Abstract

Ethical behavior among employees is a critical issue in law enforcement institutions because unethical actions may undermine public trust, institutional legitimacy, and organizational accountability. Despite the implementation of ethical standards and oversight mechanisms, ethical violations remain a persistent challenge, highlighting the need to understand the organizational and individual factors that promote ethical conduct. This study aims to examine the effects of ethical leadership, ethical climate, and organizational identification on employee ethical behavior, while investigating the mediating roles of ethical climate and organizational identification. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 234 employees of an Indonesianlaw enforcement institution selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS4. The results demonstrate that ethical leadership, ethical climate, and organizational identification have positive and significant effects on employee ethical behavior. Furthermore, ethical leadership significantly influences ethical climate and organizational identification, while ethical climate also strengthens organizational identification. The mediation analysis confirms that ethical climate and organizational identification significantly mediate the relationship between ethical leadership and employee ethical behavior. These findings highlight that ethical behavior is shaped not only by individual awareness but also by ethical organizational systems and employees’ psychological attachment to institutional values. This study contributes to the ethical behavior literature by providing empirical evidence from a law enforcement context and offers practical implications for strengthening integrity-based leadership and organizational ethics.

Abstract

The transition from higher education to the labor market has become an increasingly important challenge in the Society 5.0 era, where graduates are required to possess not only academic knowledge but also adaptability, confidence, and career-related competencies. Many fresh graduates and final-year students without work experience continue to face difficulties in preparing for employment due to limited career planning, insufficient self-confidence, and inadequate support systems. This study aims to examine the effects of career development, self-efficacy, and social support on employment readiness, with career adaptability as a mediating variable among final-year students and fresh graduates without work experience. This research employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents who met the research criteria and were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that career development, self-efficacy, and social support have positive and significant effects on career adaptability and employment readiness. Furthermore, career adaptability was found to significantly influence employment readiness and mediate the relationships between career development, self-efficacy, social support, and employment readiness. These findings demonstrate that graduates’ readiness to enter the workforce is shaped not only by competency development and personal confidence but also by their ability to adapt to career changes. This study contributes theoretically by expanding the understanding of graduate employability models and provides practical implications for universities in designing effective career preparation programs to enhance graduate competitiveness in a dynamic labor market.
