Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of trust, perceived value, and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) on purchasing decisions among Generation Z consumers on TikTok Live Commerce. A quantitative approach with a causal cross-sectional design was employed, involving 140 respondents selected using purposive sampling in DKI Jakarta. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using IBM SPSS 31, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that perceived value and E-WOM have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously, while trust does not have a significant effect. E-WOM was identified as the most dominant variable influencing purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) showed that the three independent variables jointly explained 68.1% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the remaining 31.9% were explained by other factors outside the model. These findings support the perspective that consumer decisions in social commerce are not solely determined by trust, but are more strongly driven by perceived value and real-time electronic word of mouth, particularly through live comments and interactions during TikTok Live sessions. This study contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in the context of social commerce and provides practical insights for businesses in managing live streaming strategies to enhance consumer purchasing decisions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direct effects of food content, E-WOM, perceived value, and trust on the purchase intention of Instagram viral food among Generation Z consumers in Jakarta. The research approach used is quantitative with a survey method. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 150 Generation Z respondents residing in Jakarta. The sampling technique utilized a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique, along with an even 6-point Likert scale. The data analysis technique employed in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) assisted by SmartPLS 4.0 software. The direct effect hypothesis testing results indicate that the trust variable has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Conversely, the variables of food content, E-WOM, and perceived value are proven to have no significant direct effect on the purchase intention of Generation Z consumers toward viral food. The practical implications of this study emphasize that conventional marketing strategies that rely solely on content visual aesthetics, the quantity of online reviews, or price wars are no longer effective when standing alone.

Abstract

This study examines how perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and social influence affect the actual use of the QRIS Tap payment system on MRT Jakarta, with attitude toward using positioned as a mediating variable. An online survey was distributed to 162 respondents who had experience using QRIS Tap on MRT Jakarta, and the data were processed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4. The measurement model confirmed that every indicator met the required validity and reliability thresholds. The structural model showed that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and social influence each had a positive and significant effect on attitude toward using, which in turn significantly influenced actual use. Mediation testing further confirmed that attitude toward using partially mediates the relationship between the three exogenous variables and actual use. These findings indicate that strengthening users' attitude is essential for sustaining the adoption of tap-based digital payment in public transportation, and the results provide practical input for MRT Jakarta and payment system providers in refining QRIS Tap services.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyses the influence of income expectations, entrepreneurial knowledge, and digital competencies on entrepreneurial intention among Generation Z. This study employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The study population consists of Generation Z individuals aged 14–29 residing in DKI Jakarta, with an unknown population size. Sampling was conducted using non-probability sampling via purposive sampling, resulting in 170 respondents who met the study criteria. Data were collected via an online questionnaire using a six-point Likert scale distributed through Google Forms, then analyses using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 software, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-tests), and coefficient of determination tests. The results indicate that Income Expectation, Entrepreneurial Knowledge, and Digital Competencies each have a positive and significant effect on Entrepreneurial Intention, both partially and simultaneously, with a combined explanatory power of 37.6%. Among these three variables, Income Expectation contributes the most to entrepreneurial intention. These findings indicate that the expectation of earning a decent income is the most dominant consideration for Generation Z in forming entrepreneurial intention, while entrepreneurial knowledge and digital competencies serve as supporting cognitive and technical tools for capitalizing on business opportunities in the digital age.
