Abstract

Education should be a tool to respect human dignity, prepare individuals to be able to live in this world and interact with others, education cannot be understood in one single interpretation. Therefore, Islamic education has an important role in supporting or even threatening plurality, ethnic, religious and cultural diversity in Indonesia. Pluralistic epistemology is a view that emphasizes the value of tolerance towards differences and diversity. Pluralistic epistemology assumes that there is no one approach that can explain everything, and there is no single source of truth that can be used as a benchmark. Pluralistic epistemology emphasizes the importance of accepting and respecting the differences and diversity of perspectives that exist in society. This research is a study of the epistemology of Islamic education which aims to discuss tolerance from a pluralistic epistemological perspective. This research was carried out with a descriptive approach through a literature review or theoretical study by studying journals or books related to the epistemology of Islamic education, while data analysis was carried out using the content analysis method. The results of this research show that tolerance in a pluralistic epistemological perspective emphasizes the importance of respecting diversity of views and different ways of understanding truth. According to the pluralistic epistemological approach, there are various methods for obtaining truth and knowledge. In this context, tolerance does not only mean respecting differences, but also openness to listening, understanding and respecting various existing views, whether in the realm of religion, culture or belief. In education, the application of pluralistic epistemology has a significant impact on the development of inclusive attitudes, mutual respect and a deep understanding of diversity. With this approach, Islamic religious education, for example, can become more open and less dogmatic, providing space for students to develop a broader understanding of various religious and cultural perspectives. This also contributes to the creation of a more tolerant, harmonious society, and is able to reduce potential social conflicts originating from differences in beliefs and traditions. However, it is important to remember that although pluralistic epistemology values multiple perspectives, the non-negotiable basic principles of religion must still be maintained.

Abstract

Previous literature which focused on studying the philosophical basis of evaluating Islamic education was still not sufficient to provide a comprehensive understanding and tended to concentrate on Western thought. In fact, Islamic literature also has a strong basis to serve as a philosophical basis for evaluating Islamic education. This study aims to understand how the philosophy of existentialism can be used as a basis for thinking in the evaluation of Islamic education. The results of the study found that existentialism views students not as objects, but as dynamic subjects. In this case, the evaluation is not always carried out by the teacher to the students. However, students can also be encouraged to be able to do self-assessment. From the perspective of the Qur'an, the view of existentialism is also explained in the letter Ar-Rum verse 30 concerning human nature. This nature needs to be not passive but dynamic, so humans need to work on this nature so that it always develops into good things.

Abstract

This must be supported by strategies for learning Islamic Education during the pandemic and post-pandemic times. The use of strategies in learning is important because it has certain goals to be achieved for what teachers do in the teaching and learning process of Islamic education. Many learning strategies can still be applied post-pandemic in Islamic Education, such as affective strategies, inquiry strategies, expository strategies, problem-based learning strategies (PBL), cooperative strategies, and contextual teaching and learning (CTL) strategies. Abstract

The problem of Islamic education is an urgent problem that needs to be emphasized in analyzing educational failures. Therefore, ontology becomes a means of discussing how the essence of education is implemented. The aim of this research is to determine the paradigm of modern Islamic education from an ontological perspective. This research method uses library research. The result of this study is that Islamic education cannot be separated from the divine dimension (revelation). All components contained in the education system will be extracted from divine revelation. In addition to the birth of certain terms in Islamic education, it can also be seen from several discussions on educational issues that refer to divine texts.

Abstract

Prostitution is often called to be a social disease that is far from anchoring the values of religiousness, especially diversity. It is normal if the stigma of tilting towards sex workers arises from insults, mocks, until the behavior of ignorance shown by the clergy. Even though sex workers are outside the circle of prostitution, they are "giddy" looking for life's meaning in the form of religious feelings in which there is a sense of divinity. Therefore, this article tries to understand the reality of religion - in which there are also emerging of sex workers. The reality is analyzed using the theory of dramaturgy which divides prostitution into the front stage (the practice of prostitution) and the rear stage (the privacy of sex workers). This article uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenology that portrays the practice of ayam kampus prostitution in East Java. Data collection used in-depth interviews and participant observation; Data analysis used the interactive models of Miles and Hubermann. This research found that the front stage of the practice of prostitution has never been friendly with the presence of God, especially to express its diversity. But, on the back stage, they can expose themselves in their religiosity and divinity with full serenity and appreciation. The conclusions of this research is the religiosity practiced by sex workers is separated from the normative symbol of religion, while God is immersed tightly in their soul and God is present in the most subjective and impersonal form in him.
