Abstract

The Independent Curriculum brings fundamental changes in the orientation of Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level from a material-based approach to student-centered learning. Learning personal and official letter texts in Chapter VI of the Indonesian language textbook for grade VII has strategic value as a vehicle for developing comprehensive language competency as well as a real implementation of the principles of Independent Learning. This article aims to describe and analyze the implementation of learning personal and official letter texts in developing Indonesian language competency for grade VII students through a literature study method with the stages of identification, classification, comparison, and synthesis of relevant library sources including Kemendikbudristek regulations, grade VII Indonesian language textbooks, genre-based learning theories, and scientific journal articles on language education. The results of the literature synthesis show that learning letter texts designed based on Phase D Learning Outcomes with a differentiated approach and authentic assessment is proven to be able to respond to the diversity of student learning needs while strengthening the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile which include noble character, critical reasoning, and independence. Thus, letter text material is an integral part of developing literate, communicative, and character-based students, in accordance with the ideals of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of the "Uncovering Knowledge in Observation Reports" material with the applicable curriculum in textbooks. The background of this research is based on the importance of alignment between learning materials in textbooks and curriculum requirements so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally and systematically. Textbooks, as one of the primary learning resources, play a crucial role in supporting the classroom learning process. Therefore, the suitability of the material content with the competencies expected in the curriculum requires in-depth study. The method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were obtained through content analysis of the material in textbooks and relevant curriculum documents, such as core competencies and basic competencies. Data analysis techniques were carried out by identifying, classifying, and comparing the material's suitability with curriculum standards. The results showed that the material was generally in line with the curriculum, both in terms of objectives, structure, and learning activities. However, there were still some shortcomings in the depth of the material and the variety of exercises. Thus, further development is needed to make learning more effective.

Abstract

Literature plays an important role in enriching a country's culture and national identity. The purpose of this study is to examine the contribution of literature in this context through a detailed literature review. A structured approach is used to explain the importance of understanding how literature expresses culture, values and national identity. The research method includes the study of literature from various sources, including books, magazine articles, literary works, statistical data, and cultural reports. The main findings show that literature not only reflects cultural reality but also reflects deeply the values expressed in society. Literary works reflect the daily life, traditions and struggles of a nation. The results of this study highlight the importance of understanding the role of literature in strengthening cultural identity and nationalism. The implications of these findings can help guide future educational and cultural policies.

Abstract

Learning is an essential foundation in the development of a nation so that the curriculum has a crucial position in ensuring the quality of education. Unfortunately, the curriculum that is often used tends to be uniform and lacks attention to the local wisdom of a region. On the other hand, literary works reflect local wisdom and can be a rich and interesting source of education. The purpose of this research is to narrate efforts to improve the quality of the independent curriculum through literature-based local wisdom. This research uses a qualitative model with an exploratory literature research approach. The results of this study show that local wisdom based on literary works applied in the education process makes the younger generation more able to master, appreciate, and defend cultural values, and protect local wisdom and strengthen national identity. Thus, through the Merdeka Curriculum, which seeks to apply and apply local wisdom based on literary works, it can develop humans who have in-depth knowledge of local wisdom, maintain cultural values, and build a strong personality for the future.

Abstract

Poetry is an important record and translation of human experience, transformed into an important and interesting structure. One type of writing that is important to a wide range of people and ages in the public eye is poetry. There are certain people who are fond of composing poetry, not just understanding it. The language of poetry is usually free and not represented by rules. Sometimes it is difficult to understand the significance of a beautiful poem because of the many metaphorical dialects used. The focal point of this study is the poem “Sendiri” by Chairil Anwar. The problem centered by the author is limited to the importance of the words in the poem. By utilizing semantic studies that highlight grammatical meaning, lexical meaning, non-literal or figurative meaning and referential meaning, this exploration is expected to be able to understand the important meaning contained in the poem “Sendiri”. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. From the analysis conducted, the poem “Alone” can be examined using semantic examination. This poem talks about the feeling of isolation and silence.

Abstract

Poetry is a literary genre that is of interest to various groups and ages of society. Some people prefer to write poetry rather than just reading it. Language poetry is usually unregulated and free. Poetry sometimes has a lot of figurative language that is difficult to understand. The aim of this research is to explain the meaning contained in poetry using semantic analysis which focuses on lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, referential meaning and figurative meaning. Qualitative descriptive methodology was used in this research. Two data collection methods were used in this research: the library method collected data from various written sources, including literary works; the observation method involves reading the text thoroughly and critically; and this research is included in the type of library research, which combines data from various literature. Not only books, but also documents, magazines, journals and newspapers can be studied. Analysis shows that many of the vocabulary used in the poem Derai-Derai Cemara by Chairil Anwar have lexical, grammatical, referential and figurative meanings. Chairil Anwar's poem "Derai-Derai Cemara" talks about despair and resignation caused by an unreasonable life.

Pantun is a very popular genre of oral literature in public Malay. Language is one culture in our country This, Language is also included identity of our country This. Stylistic studies are branch linguistics that studies style Language in literary works, including pantun. One of regional literary forms that is poetry (poetry ancient) is an oral and divided literature in several in the form of mantras, pantuns, poetry, and Gurindam. Literary works in regions have a big influence on culture area the. Literary works are also influenced by the creativity and imagination of each writer. Literary works in public works also for need religion, advice, custom customs and entertainment. The guide works as education and entertainment because the poem contains tips and advice, can also be used for just entertain self. Pantun is used in various events have various meaning for sure in accordance with the event being hosted. Pantun no must use in events, but rhymes can also be used be the medium of delivery advice. Rhymes in everyone the concept own uniqueness each in writing the line. In research this, we will analyze style language used in a poem of advice with approach stylistics. Abstract

Raden Ajeng Kartini is a national hero who is known as a pioneer of women's emancipation. He is fa-mous for his work entitled Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang. (RA) Kartini is a figure who can free women from legal constraints, which limit women from developing and progressing (being educated). Thanks to his efforts, now women can receive education freely. Since then, there has been gender equality be-tween men and women. This article aims to examine the novel Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang using a sociolinguistic review. A sociolinguistic review is an approach that analyzes how language and writing style in novels reflect and influence the social and cultural context. So, in this article the author will analyze how novel writers use language to create meaning, express social and cultural identities, and reflect or influence social and cultural norms. The author completed this article using the literature study method. The library research method is a way of collecting and analyzing information from var-ious data sources in the library. This is a qualitative research method carried out by reading books, magazines and other data sources in the library.

Abstract

This article analyzes the dynamics of resistance to the 66th generation through the poem "A Jacket Stained with Blood" by Taufiq Ismail. This poem highlights the struggle and sacrifice of warriors in protecting the homeland from enemy threats, as well as the importance of maintaining national identity and heritage. This article explores how the poem "A jacket stained with blood" reflects the deep spirit of struggle for the homeland, as well as respect for the struggle and sacrifice of fighters in protecting and defending their homeland. This article uses library research or library research methods. By utilizing library searches. Library research is not just reading literature or reading the books needed to write articles. This poem is an example of a work that explores historical events to convey a message about the importance of freedom and justice for the nation.

Abstract

A Discussions of ownership, sovereignty, and citizenship have long occupied a central position in Indonesian literary discourse, particularly in poetry that engages with questions of national identity and political ethics. Taufik Ismail’s poem “We Are the Legal Owners of This Republic” exemplifies this tradition by foregrounding ownership as a collective claim and moral responsibility. However, existing studies tend to treat the poem thematically, paying limited attention to the semiotic processes through which ownership is constructed and to its relevance for regional contexts such as Aceh. This study aims to examine how the meaning of ownership is articulated in the poem and to explore its implications for understanding civic consciousness within the broader framework of Aceh Studies. Employing a qualitative research design, the study uses a semiotic approach grounded in Roland Barthes’ theory of signification. The analysis focuses on key linguistic signs, including collective pronouns, legal terminology, and symbolic expressions, and interprets their denotative and connotative meanings in relation to socio-political discourses. The findings show that ownership in the poem is constructed as a collective and ethical claim rather than a purely legal status, emphasizing responsibility, solidarity, and popular sovereignty. The poem also functions as an implicit critique of political authority by reaffirming the moral legitimacy of the people. These findings contribute to literary studies by demonstrating the value of semiotic analysis for uncovering ideological meanings in poetry and to Aceh Studies by illustrating how national literary texts can illuminate regional concerns related to citizenship, autonomy, and collective identity.
