Abstract

This research aims to determine the needs of teachers and students before the formulation of Riau Malay based ethnomatematics e-module to facilitate student"™s mathematical literacy skills. This research used qualitative descriptive methods that are oriented towards the development of a product. The subject of this research were two mathematics teacher and students of class XI of SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru. Data were collected by using interview method and questionnaire distribution. The data obtained were analayzed into three aspects which are analysis of curriculum, analysis of students, and analysis of materials. The result shows that the curriculum that is being used is curriculum 2013. Teaching materials that are being used are textbooks from Erlangga publisher. Result of student"™s analysis shows that 85,7% of students need the exercise about literacy and numeracy in matehmatics subject. 71,4% of students agree that literacy questions in mathematics subjects that contain elements of Riau Malay culture will increase their interest in understanding the problem. The result of this research shows that it is necessary to develop an ethnomathematics e-module based on Riau Malay culture to facilitate student"™s mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

Students experience problems while working in Math, with full of difficulties. They made mistakes in the process of solving questions. The error process that occurred in students leads to the low achievement of the learning outcomes. This research aimed to investigate the mistakes made by MTs students in working on the questions of the Cartesian coordinate integrated with Malay cultural nuances in Riau Province. The study was conducted at MTs in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. A descriptive approach was used as a research method with a purposive sampling technique. This technique used a test and interview to collect research data.  The results of the study described that the errors faced by MTS NurulBilad students included: (1) 55% of misconceptions because students did not understand the concept in the material of Cartesian coordinate (2) procedural errors that 76% of students did not match the stages or steps in the process of drawing on the Cartesian coordinate. Based on the findings, it was hoped that the teacher emphasized more understanding about the concept of Cartesian coordinate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the items for the mathematics middle exam at SMP Education 21 Kulim grade VII for the 2020/2021 academic year in terms of the level of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminating power of questions. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The data is in the form of 20 essay questions which are analyzed using Anates software Version 4.0. The results of the analysis of the level of validity are stated to be not good because overall it has a valid percentage of 70%. From the level of reliability, it is stated that it is not good because it has a reliability of 0.7. From the level, it is stated that the difficulty level is not good because 70% of the total number is classified as moderate. From the power of distinction, it is stated that the overall question has good distinguishing power because 70% of the total questions are classified as good. The solution is that these questions are not used and revisions are made. Thus, based on the test quality indicators, it can be said that the final semester tests are not of high quality.

Abstract

The problems that often become student complaints are the difficulty of understanding the abstract problems provided in school-facilitated textbooks, in learning mathematics not all teachers connect the material being taught with contextual problems that exist around students, and also based on the results of interviews between researchers and teachers in the field of study. information was obtained that the teacher had never combined Islamic nuances with the material being taught. Therefore, we need a solution by making a teaching material in the form of an Islamic e-module. The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for an e-module with Islamic nuances by integrating Islamic values in it for class XI MA students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were mathematics teachers at MAN 3 Pekanbaru and class XI students at MAN 3 Pekanbaru. Analysis of research data using the Miles-Huberman Interactive Analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusions. The results obtained in this study are that it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of e-modules with Islamic nuances for class XI MA matrix materials. This research can be used as a needs analysis in research on the development of Islamic E-Modules in the XI MA class matrix material. The population used for this study is still on a small scale, therefore in future research it is hoped that it can increase the number of population used, so that it will approach the picture of the actual condition.

Abstract

Teluk Latak Village is located in Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau. It has 2 hamlets, namely Langgam Muara Hamlet and Simpang Baru Hamlet. Teluk Latak Village is one of the coastal villages in the west of Bengkalis Island which has a flat topography with an area of ​​​​approximately 23 km2. The problem that arises in Teluk Latak Village is that the regional potential of the natural resources in the area has not been explored. To obtain information on the geographical and geological conditions of Teluk Latak Village, aerial mapping is necessary. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to utilize geospatial data through aerial mapping in Teluk Latak Village, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau. The method of implementation is to conduct aerial mapping using drone equipment to obtain land and vegetation conditions in the Teluk Latak village area. It is hoped that this activity can contribute to village residents and village officials in mapping the potential of Teluk Latak Village in the social and economic fields.

Abstract

Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah merupakan komponen penting dalam mempersiapkan generasi unggul di abad 21. Pembelajaran matematika mengharuskan siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika masih tergolong rendah. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan bahan ajar. Kemudahan menggunakan bahan ajar dapat membantu siswa dalam memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Salah satu kelemahan siswa sulit memahami bangun geometri, misalnya pada materi Lingkaran kelas VIII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahan ajar lingkaran yang dibutuhkan untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan subjek 3 guru dari 3 sekolah dan 30 siswa SMPN 14 Pekanbaru. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi bahan ajar. Reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan merupakan metode analisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan guru dan siswa masih bersifat sederhana karena hanya memuat ringkasan materi, contoh soal dan latihan soal. Bahan ajar belum mengarah pada pendekatan pemecahan masalah. Bahan ajar yang tersedia hanya memuat soal rutin dan belum kontekstual, siswa tidak mengetahui penerapan materi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Temuan penelitian tersebut mengarah pada kesimpulan bahwa dibutuhkan pengembangan bahan ajar berupa modul ajar pada materi lingkaran yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis

Abstract

Assesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif siswa, salah satunya mencakup literasi numerasi. Literasi numerasi merupakan suatu pemahaman dengan menggunakan konsep, prosedur, fakta serta alat matematika yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan. Hanya sebagian kecil siswa yang mampu memanfaatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi untuk menyelesaikan masalah sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi numerasi pada AKM. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 15 orang siswa SMP Juara Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes dan pedoman wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi numerasi pada AKM. Rata-rata yang diperoleh secara keseluruhan tergolong rendah yaitu 3,4, penyebabnya karena siswa tidak terbiasa menyelesaikan soal literasi numerasi, tidak memahami materi prasyarat, malas membaca soal cerita, dan belum mampu menentukan strategi penyelesaian yang tepat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matemats siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melakukan analisis serta mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP/MTs pada materi relasi dan fungsi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 14 siswa kelas VIII Pondok Pesantren MTs As-Sakinah Kabupaten Kampar. Jenis penelitian yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data berupa tes tertulis serta wawancara. Tes tertulis berbentuk uraian sejumlah 3 butir soal. Teknik penganalisisan data yang dilakukan yaitu: memeriksa jawaban siswa; mengklasifikasikan serta mengkategorikan tingkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; hasil persentase dikelompokk berdasar pada tingkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; data yang telah diperhitungkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan deskriptif melalui penafsiran hasil persentase kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; serta memaparkan simpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata skor keseluruhan soal semua siswa pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis termasuk ke dalam kriteria cukup. Siswa mencapai indikator 1 (memberikan jawaban menggunakan bahasa sendiri) sebesar 21,43%, indikator 2 (menyajikannya ide, situasi, maupun solusi dari masalah matematika dengan bentuk gambar) sebesar 78,57%, dan pencapaian indikator 3 (menyajikannya ide dengan mempergunakan bahasa notasi maupun simbol matematika dengan benar) sebesar 50%. Kesulitan yang terjadi saat menyelesaikan soal berdasarkan indikator  kemampuan komunikasi matematis yaitu tidak terpenuhi pada kemampuan prasyarat, pemahaman matematis masih rendah, dan kemampuan menulis siswa yang belum baik.

Abstract

The background factor for this research is the importance of mathematical communication skills (KKM), but in practice there are still many students who have low abilities in mathematical communication. This study intends to provide an overview of students' mathematical communication skills (KKM) with indicators of drawing, mathematical expression and writing. The method used is descriptive qualitative in which the subject will use class VIII students of SMP N 13 Dumai totaling 30 people. The research instrument is in the form of three essay test questions. To obtain in-depth information, interviews were conducted with three students whose abilities were heterogeneous and selected from all students who took the test. The results of this study indicate that 26.67% of students are classified as high, 53.33% of students are classified as moderate and 20% of students are classified as low. The factor that causes the low ability of students' mathematical communication is the lack of students' ability to express mathematics

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi menuntut guru untuk mempersiapkan pembelajaran dengan baik agar KPMM peserta didik dapat terfasilitasi dengan mempersiapkan sumber belajar yang mendukung perkembangan teknologi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan analisis diperoleh informasi sumber belajar yang digunakan guru belum memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi yang ada seperti pembelajaran menggunakan e-learning khususnya moodle. Tujuan peneitian ini menghasilkan sumber belajar menggunakan moodle yang valid serta praktis guna memfasilitasi KPMM peserta didik pada materi SPLTV. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan model 4D. Tahap define yaitu analisis awal akhir, karakteristik peserta didik serta analisis kompetensi, 2) tahap design yaitu rancangan materi pembelajaran, rancangan tujuan pembelajaran, rancangan kegiatan pembelajaran, rancangan tampilan sumber belajar, 3) tahap develop meliputi pengembangan sumber belajar, validasi ahli, dan uji coba, 4) tahap disseminate. Instrumen validasi pada penelitian ini adalah lembar yang dinilai oleh tiga ahli materi maupun ahli media. Instrumen praktikalitas berbentuk angket respon peserta didik. Pengumpulan dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, serta angket. Hasil validitas diperoleh rata-rata secara keseluruhan 88,38. Hasil ujicoba skala besar memperoleh rata-rata 4,26. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan sumber belajar menggunakan moodle pada materi SPLTV yang valid serta praktis guna memfasilitasi KPMM peserta didik.  AbstractTechnological developments require teachers to prepare learning well so that students' mathematical problem solving abilities can be facilitated by preparing learning resources that support technological developments. Based on the results of observation and analysis, information was obtained that the learning resources used by teachers have not taken advantage of existing technological developments such as learning using e-learning, especially Moodle. The purpose of this research is to produce learning resources using valid and practical Moodles to facilitate students' mathematical problem solving abilities in SPLTV material. This research was developed with a 4D model. The define stage is the initial and final analysis, student characteristics and competency analysis, 2) the design stage, namely the design of learning materials, the design of learning objectives, the design of learning activities, the display design of learning resources, 3) the develop stage includes the development of learning resources, expert validation, and testing try, 4) disseminate stage. The validation instrument in this study was a sheet that was assessed by three material experts and media experts. The practicality instrument is in the form of a student response questionnaire. The collection was carried out using observation techniques, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the validity obtained an overall average of 88.38. The results of large-scale trials obtained an average of 4.26. Based on the results of this study, it produces learning resources using moodle on valid and practical SPLTV material to facilitate students' mathematical problem solving abilities.
