Abstract

Modern educational environments often face students' moral laziness, manifested as ethical passivity, reluctance to make difficult moral decisions, and a tendency to simply imitate norms without internalizing authentic values. Overly normative character education fails to foster a sense of personal responsibility and moral authenticity. Therefore, this study aims to reformulate the concept of authentic education based on the principles of existentialist philosophy (Sartre, Kierkegaard, and Camus) to challenge moral laziness and encourage students to become active and responsible moral agents. The method used is a qualitative philosophical study with interpretive content analysis. Core concepts of existentialism, such as freedom, responsibility, authenticity, and existential anxiety, are transformed into an applicable pedagogical framework. The findings indicate that the resulting Authentic Education emphasizes a pedagogy of awareness, in which students are encouraged to recognize their radical freedom of choice and the consequences of absolute responsibility for those choices. The learning process must create boundary situations (such as real ethical dilemmas) that force students to confront anxiety and choose their own values rather than accept predetermined ones. This article makes a theoretical contribution by offering an existentialist alternative to rule-based moral education, as well as a practical contribution in the form of a basis for designing a curriculum that focuses on developing moral authenticity and personal commitment, preparing students to act ethically in the real world.

Abstract

Background. Islam places knowledge in a noble position, and the tradition of knowledge in Islam has produced many great scholars throughout history. However, this intellectual tradition has not only generated knowledge but also sparked various debates and discussions about the concept of knowledge itself. One scholar who gave significant attention to the concept of knowledge was Ibn Taimiyah, particularly regarding the channels of knowledge. His thoughts on how knowledge is transmitted have become an essential part of scholarly discussions within the Islamic intellectual tradition. Purpose. The purposes of this research were to analyze and describe the concept of knowledge transmission according to Ibn Taimiyah. Method. This research is a type of library research using descriptive qualitative methods with a historical and philosophical approach. Results. The results of this research show that there are three transmissions and channels of knowledge in Ibn Taimiyah's perspective: revelation (wahyu), reason, and the senses. There is no conflict between the three. However, revelation is the absolute and main channel of knowledge. while reason and senses are channels of knowledge that must be subject to revelation. Both play a role in digesting and understanding the truth that comes from revelation. Conclusion. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that the channels of knowledge according to Ibn Taimiyah are (wahyu) revelation, aql (mind) and the senses. There is no conflict at all between the three channels.  But  wahyu (revelation) is the most important and absolute channel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) bentuk ekspresi dimensi gelap dalam kumpulan puisi Ritus Konawe, (2) menganalisis maknanya dengan pendekatan pragmatik, (3) integrasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia berbasis kearifan lokal, dan (4) sarana pengembangan pragmatik dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik content analysis. Data penelitian ini berupa diksi yang bermakna dimensi gelap. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan: pembacaan intensif, identifikasi, kategorisasi, penguraian makna, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Analisis dilakukan secara sistematis, faktual, dan akurat untuk mengungkap sisi gelap kumpulan puisi Ritus Konawe. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan. Bentuk ekspresi penyair dalam puisi dapat dipahami melalui dua sisi, yaitu (1) bentuk dan (2) isi. Sisi gelap puisi Di Punggung Tahura Murhum berkaitan dengan kegelisahan penyair mengenai kondisi Punggung Tahura Murhum, sebuah pemukinan di kota Kendari yang kondisnya sangat memprihatinkan. Puisi Perawan Gungung mengungkap sisi gelap kehidupan sebagian perempuan di Kota kendadri. Secara spesifik penyair menyorot kehidupan perempuan malam yang mencari hidup di jalanan, diskotik, café dan hetel-hotel. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia pada fase F (kelas 11 dan 12) pada elemen berbicara, mempresentasikan dan menulis.

Abstract

This study examines the integrated Islamic education system developed by the Wahdah Islamiyah Movement as a contemporary model that harmoniously integrates spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions. The main objective is to provide a philosophical analysis of the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations of Wahdah Islamiyah’s educational system in shaping insan kamil (a holistic human being) grounded in tauhid values. Using a qualitative approach with philosophical analysis, this research draws upon official documents, scholarly works of Wahdah Islamiyah’s leaders, and relevant prior studies. The findings indicate that Wahdah Islamiyah’s educational system is integrative, transformative, and rooted in Qur’anic and Prophetic principles. It emphasizes the harmony between knowledge and practice, intellect and spirituality, as well as between formal, non-formal, and informal education. The novelty of this research lies in identifying the philosophical synthesis achieved by Wahdah Islamiyah, which bridges the ideals of classical Islamic education with the demands of modern educational paradigms. This study contributes conceptually to the development of an integrated Islamic education model relevant to contemporary global and societal challenges.  Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji sistem pendidikan Islam terpadu yang dikembangkan oleh Gerakan Wahdah Islamiyah sebagai model pendidikan Islam kontemporer yang memadukan dimensi spiritual, intelektual, dan sosial secara seimbang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis secara filosofis landasan ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologis sistem pendidikan Wahdah Islamiyah dalam membentuk insan kamil yang berkarakter tauhid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis filosofis melalui telaah dokumen resmi, karya tokoh-tokoh Wahdah Islamiyah, serta hasil penelitian terdahulu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendidikan Wahdah Islamiyah bersifat integratif, transformatif, dan berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah. Model ini menekankan keselarasan antara ilmu dan amal, akal dan hati, serta antara pendidikan formal, non-formal, dan informal. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada temuan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah berhasil mengintegrasikan idealisme pendidikan Islam klasik dengan kebutuhan pendidikan modern dalam satu kerangka filosofis yang koheren. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan model pendidikan Islam terpadu yang relevan dengan tantangan global dan kebutuhan umat.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the level and characteristics of learning interest among students at SMP Al-Qur’an Wahdah Islamiyah Cibinong and to identify the factors influencing it. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, involving 43 students aged 12–17 years and using a questionnaire adapted from Darmadi’s learning interest scale, covering indicators of enjoyment, interest, attention, and involvement. The findings indicate that students’ learning interest falls within the moderate or fairly good category, with an empirical mean score of 124.79. Indicators of enjoyment, interest, and involvement were categorized as high, while students’ attention was moderate. These results suggest that students have a positive learning interest, particularly in affective and behavioral dimensions, but there is still room for improvement, especially in enhancing attention during learning. The study provides both theoretical and practical contributions by guiding schools to develop integrative, interactive, and value-based learning strategies, foster motivation, and create a supportive learning environment aligned with Islamic education principles, promoting lifelong learning.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Al-Hidayah (STAIA) Bogor di Desa Banjarwangi dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penguatan ketakwaan dan pendidikan berbasis keluarga sebagai fondasi pemberdayaan masyarakat Islam. Keluarga merupakan unit sosial terkecil yang memiliki peran strategis dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai spiritual, moral, dan sosial. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan ketakwaan masyarakat melalui pendidikan keagamaan keluarga, pembinaan anak berbasis Al-Qur’an, serta penguatan sinergi antara orang tua dan lembaga pendidikan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif melalui serangkaian kegiatan seperti kajian parenting Islami, program tebar mushaf Al-Qur’an dan buku Iqra’, bimbingan Al-Qur’an anak, serta pengajaran bahasa Arab dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran spiritual orang tua dalam menjalankan fungsi pendidikan agama di rumah, tumbuhnya budaya belajar Al-Qur’an dalam keluarga, dan meningkatnya motivasi anak-anak untuk memahami ajaran Islam secara menyenangkan. Selain itu, terjalin kerja sama harmonis antara masyarakat, lembaga pendidikan, dan perangkat desa dalam mendukung keberlanjutan program. Kesimpulannya, PKM ini berhasil mendorong terbentuknya keluarga yang kuat secara spiritual dan sosial serta menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis ketakwaan dan pendidikan keluarga dapat menjadi model efektif dalam pembangunan karakter umat.

Abstract

This article explores the concept of tadabbur Al-Qur’an from the perspective of Nashir Al-‘Umar and its implications for the development of contemporary Islamic education. The study is motivated by the weakening interaction between Muslims and the Qur’an, which is often limited to recitation (tilawah) and memorization (tahfiz), while the dimensions of deep reflection and inner meaning are frequently neglected. This research aims to explain the essence of tadabbur according to Al-‘Umar, distinguish it from tafsir and other forms of interaction such as ta’wīl and ta’ammul, and outline its relevance for renewing the paradigm of Islamic education. Based on a literature review of Al-‘Umar’s works and classical tafsir references, the study finds that tadabbur is understood as a profound process of contemplating the meanings, wisdoms, and consequences of Qur’anic verses by integrating the functions of the intellect, heart, and action. In the educational context, tadabbur implies an epistemological and pedagogical reorientation from textual-based learning models toward reflective and transformative models that foster spiritual awareness and Qur’anic character. Furthermore, tadabbur serves as a foundation for moral formation, spiritual renewal, and the development of a knowledge-based civilization rooted in revelation. Artikel ini membahas konsep tadabbur Al-Qur’an dalam perspektif Nashir Al-‘Umar serta implikasinya terhadap pengembangan pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan melemahnya interaksi umat Islam dengan Al-Qur’an yang sering kali terbatas pada aspek tilawah dan hafalan, sementara dimensi perenungan dan penghayatan maknanya masih terabaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hakikat tadabbur menurut Al-‘Umar, membedakannya dari tafsir dan bentuk interaksi lain dengan Al-Qur’an seperti ta’wīl dan ta’ammul, serta menguraikan relevansinya bagi pembaruan paradigma pendidikan Islam. Berdasarkan kajian literatur terhadap karya-karya Al-‘Umar dan referensi tafsir klasik, ditemukan bahwa tadabbur dipahami sebagai proses perenungan mendalam terhadap makna, hikmah, dan konsekuensi ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an yang mengintegrasikan fungsi akal, hati, dan amal. Dalam konteks pendidikan, tadabbur berimplikasi pada reorientasi epistemologis dan pedagogis dari model pembelajaran tekstual menuju model reflektif dan transformatif yang menumbuhkan kesadaran spiritual serta karakter Qur’ani. Selain itu, tadabbur juga berfungsi sebagai fondasi pembentukan akhlak, pembaruan ruhani, dan pembangunan peradaban ilmu yang berakar pada wahyu.

Abstract

This study examines As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic University (UNISAD) students' understanding of juvenile criminal decisions in legal education. The Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law (UU SPPA No. 11 of 2012) requires child protection principles like diversion and restorative justice, but students at the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Law (FSHI) UNISAD may not understand them when analyzing court decisions. This study examines how students internalize the child protection paradigm and how the Islamic legal education curriculum shapes their views on juvenile criminalization. The method is empirical legal study utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods. Primary data was collected from FSHI students who took juvenile criminal law courses using standardized questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Patterns and comprehension were found using descriptive data analysis. The results indicate that kids comprehend diversion theoretically. When presented with real-life decision cases, their understanding tends to revert to a retributive approach (conventional punishment), indicating that campus legal education has not fully transformed their thinking paradigm to a comprehensive child protection perspective. This project provides data-driven feedback for the FSHI UNISAD to improve juvenile criminal justice teaching techniques and curriculum. To make legal education more relevant, graduates should know sharia theory and positive law and be sensitive and competent to monitor restorative justice methods in juvenile criminal justice.

Abstract

Terapis anak berkebutuhan khusus merupakan salah satu profesi yang rentan terhadap burnout. Tidak lain karena pekerjaan ini berkenaan dengan besarnya keterlibatan emosional yang dapat menimbulkan tekanan yang cukup besar dalam diri pemberi pelayanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran burnout, terjadinya burnout, dan dampak burnout pada terapis anak berkebutuhan khusus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang berusaha untuk menggambarkan atau melukiskan objek yang akan diteliti berdasarkan fakta yang ada di lapangan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga terapis anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan kategori usia 20 hingga 30 dan empat orang informan terdiri dari orang tua klien dan rekan kerja terapis.Hasil dari penelitian ini secara umum dapat dilihat bahwa gambaran burnout subjek terdiri dari kelelahan emosional, penarikan diri dan rendahnya hasrat pencapaian prestasi diri. Adapun penyebab terjadinya burnout pada subjek meliputi karakteristik individu, lingkungan kerja, dan keterlibatan emosional dengan penerimaan pelayanan atau klien. Sedangkan dampak yang dialami mencakup, dampak pada diri sendiri, dampak pada orang lain dan dampak burnout mempengaruhi efektifitas dan efisiensi terapis.

Abstract

This study examines the semantic meaning of the term tarbiyah and its various derivatives in the Prophetic hadith, as well as their implications for the concepts of Islamic education and learning. Although the term tarbiyah has been widely employed in contemporary Islamic educational discourse, prevailing interpretations often rely primarily on terminological definitions without tracing its lexical and contextual semantic structures within hadith as an authoritative primary source of Islam. This study aims to analyze the etymological roots, derivative forms, and semantic expansions of tarbiyah in hadith, including verbal forms such as tarubbu, yurabbī, yarubbānī, and the expression yurabbī al-nās, as well as nominal forms such as rabb, rabbuhā, and rabbāniyyīn. The research adopts a library-based qualitative approach, employing semantic-linguistic analysis and the taḥlīlī method to examine relevant hadith texts. The findings reveal that the concept of tarbiyah in hadith encompasses six core meanings: (1) preservation and care (ḥifẓ wa riʿāyah), (2) management and development (tanmiyah wa ṣiyānah), (3) education and instruction (taʿlīm wa taʾdīb), (4) guidance and leadership (taujīh wa siyādah), (5) perfection and cultivation (takmīl wa inhmāk), and (6) gradual educational development (tadarruj fī al-taʿlīm). These findings affirm that tarbiyah in hadith is not merely cognitive in nature but represents a comprehensive process that progressively nurtures human potential toward moral and ethical perfection. This study contributes to strengthening the conceptual foundations of Islamic education by restoring the meaning of tarbiyah to its semantic roots and prophetic praxis.
