Abstract

This study examines the clash of values ​​between Generation Z students and teachers and its implications for moral shifts in classroom interactions at MTs Al-Munawwarah, Jambi City. Using a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, this study involved the principal, Akidah Akhlak teachers, and ninth-grade students as research subjects. Data collection was conducted through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that value clashes occurred in four main forms: differences in communication and attitude expression, differences in the meaning of politeness and etiquette, tensions in classroom discipline and management, and the influence of digital culture and the social environment. Teachers interpreted changes in student behavior as a moral shift characterized by a weakening of sensitivity to interaction ethics, a decrease in the ability to position oneself, and a shift in standards of politeness from formal-hierarchical to casual-egalitarian. In responding to value clashes, teachers developed persuasive and communicative approaches, implemented reward and punishment systems, responded firmly to maintain order, and instilled values ​​through role models and habits. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of character education in the digital era and offers recommendations for developing educational policies that are adaptive to the characteristics of Generation Z.

Abstract

Empathy and sympathy are essential elements in character development and social harmony, especially during adolescence. In the context of education, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in instilling these values thru learning integrated with Islamic moral and social teachings. However, at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi, low levels of empathy and sympathy were still found among 7th-grade students, as reflected in their lack of caring behavior and weak positive social interaction. This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies in fostering empathy and sympathy among seventh-grade students thru Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained thru observation, interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed descriptively thru data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing processes. The research findings indicate that PAI teachers employ several key strategies, namely modeling attitudes, cultivating positive social behaviors, discussions and group work, integrating Islamic values into learning materials, and a personal approach to students. These strategies have been proven to foster the development of empathy and sympathy in students, as demonstrated by their caring attitude, mutual respect, helpfulness, and ability to understand the feelings of others in school life.

Abstract

The ability to read the Qur’an correctly in accordance with tajwid rules is a fundamental competence in Islamic education and has traditionally been taught in Islamic boarding schools through methods such as talaqqi and musyāfahah. However, contemporary Qur’anic learning faces challenges related to technological developments, changing student characteristics, and the practical limitations of classical learning methods. This study aims to examine teachers’ strategies in integrating a digital tajwid learning application, Learn Quran Tajwid, as a supporting medium in Qur’an reading instruction within a pesantren context. This research employed a qualitative field study with a descriptive approach conducted at Darul Haq Muaro Jambi Islamic Boarding School from October 2025 to January 2026. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving tahsin/tahfiz teachers and MTs-level students, particularly Grade VII students. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, categorization, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the application contributes positively to improving students’ Qur’an reading proficiency, particularly in reading fluency, accuracy of makhārijul ḥurūf, and understanding of tajwid rules. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of the application depends largely on teachers’ roles in guiding, managing, and integrating digital media with traditional learning methods. Several challenges were identified, including limited facilities, uneven digital literacy among teachers, and student discipline in using technology. The study concludes that digital tajwid applications such as Learn Quran Tajwid can function effectively as complementary learning tools when supported by teacher-centered strategies, systematic planning, and institutional support without undermining the traditional values of pesantren education.

Abstract

Seiring meningkatnya kesadaran terhadap pentingnya keberlanjutan lingkungan, pemanfaatan limbah menjadi salah satu fokus utama dalam penelittian material. Limbah tulang sangat melimpah di Indonesia, khususnya tulang hewan. Limbah tulang hewan seringkali dianggap sebagai limbah yang tidak memiliki nilai ekonomis dan hanya di buang. Karena dibuang, limbah tulang hewan berpotensi menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan. Namun, seiring meningkatnya kesadaran terhadap keberlanjutan dan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam, potensi pemanfaatan limbah ini mulai mendapatkan perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat mekanik (kekerasan dan konduktivitas termal) komposit campuran resin epoxy dan tulang sapi. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan metode eksperimental dengan memvariasi partikel serbuk tulang hewan yaitu 5%, 10% dan 15%. Setelah dilakukan beberapa pengujian untuk mengetahui karakterisasi dari setiap variasi yang telah ditetapkan, maka didapatkan bahwa nilai hasil kekerasan tertinggi pada komposit hibrida partikel tulang sapi didapatkan pada fraksi volume 15% yaitu sebesar 64,94 HD. Sedangkan nilai kekerasan terendah didapatkan pada fraksi volume 5% dengan nilai 63,63 HD. Semakin meningkatnya volume partikel tulang sapi yang digunakan maka diikuti dengan menurunnya nilai konduktivitas termal. Nilai konduktivitas termal paling rendah dalam penelitian ini didapatkan dari fraksi volume partikel tulang sapi 15% dengan nilai rata-rata 0,1309  k(W/mC), dan nilai konduktivitas tertinggi didapat pada komposit hibrida partikel tulang sapi dengan fraksi volume 5% dengan nilai rata-rata 0,0785 k(W/mC). Keywords: Tulang sapi, Epoxy, Kekerasan, Konduktivitas termal.

Abstract

This study addresses the environmental and economic challenges arising from the accumulation of dragon fruit waste in Trenggulunan Village, Rembang Regency, where up to 40% of total harvest remains unmarketable and contributes to soil degradation. The research aims to analyze the implementation and impact of the social innovation program MBAH GANTENG (Organic Waste and FABA Management for Trenggulunan Environment) as a community empowerment strategy. A qualitative descriptive-exploratory method was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation to examine program processes and outcomes. The findings reveal that the innovation successfully transforms agricultural, household, and industrial waste (Fly Ash Bottom Ash/FABA) into valuable organic agricultural products such as Booster FABA fertilizer, silica fertilizer, hydroton, and biowasil. The results demonstrate significant improvements in soil quality, including increased pH from acidic to neutral, enhanced organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium levels, and improved soil fertility index. Additionally, the program reduced agricultural waste by 80.3%, increased harvest frequency from two to four cycles annually, and generated economic benefits through increased farmer income and cost efficiency. Socially, the initiative fostered behavioral change in waste management and strengthened community participation. In conclusion, MBAH GANTENG represents an effective, sustainable, and replicable model of circular economy-based social innovation that simultaneously addresses environmental, economic, and social issues

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning achievement through the use of animated video media in Islamic Religious Education for seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. The findings indicate that the use of animated video media effectively improved students’ learning outcomes, with the mastery level increasing from 50% in Cycle I to 82% in Cycle II, thereby exceeding the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) set at 75. In addition, the animated video media enhanced students’ attention and motivation during the learning process. These results are expected to serve as a reference for teachers and educational institutions in developing innovative learning strategies aligned with the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of instilling Islamic values in shaping students' religious character, especially through mahdhah worship in the madrasah environment. In practice, worship activities such as congregational prayers and Quran recitation have indeed been carried out, but there are still students who perform them merely as an obligation without understanding the meaning contained within. This indicates that the process of internalizing Islamic values has not yet been fully optimized. Therefore, this research aims to understand how the process of internalizing Islamic values, the supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as the strategies used to strengthen this internalization at MTs Nururrodiyah Kota Jambi. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers, the head of the madrasah, and students as research subjects. The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested thru triangulation. The research results show that the internalization of Islamic values is carried out thru the habituation of worship, the exemplary behavior of teachers, and the support of a religious madrasah environment. The supporting factors include the role of teachers, adequate facilities, and school culture, while the obstacles include the lack of student awareness, external environmental influences, and limited supervision outside of school. Thus, cooperation between the school and parents, as well as consistent habituation, is necessary so that Islamic values can be well instilled in the students.

Abstract

The need for blood in the community continues to increase, so the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), which serves as a blood provider, actively works from time to time. Public satisfaction in meeting blood needs requires the PMI to improve service quality, responsiveness to requests, and speed of service. This study aims to analyze factors related to public satisfaction served by the PMI Bireuen Regency Branch. The study was conducted using a satisfaction survey of 97 people in need of blood at the PMI Bireuen Regency Branch using purposive sampling. The study employed a quantitative associative research method and data analysis using a structural (path) model. The results revealed that: (1) service quality, responsiveness, and speed of service are causally related and have both direct and indirect impacts on public satisfaction. Service quality was 58.6%, responsiveness was 56.02%, and speed of service was 65.77%. (2) Simultaneously, service quality, responsiveness, and speed of service contributed significantly and positively to public satisfaction in meeting blood needs, amounting to 65.3%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang antarmuka pengguna (User Interface) dan pengalaman pengguna (User Experience) pada sistem informasi inventaris barang milik daerah berbasis web guna mendukung pengelolaan aset yang lebih efektif. Permasalahan yang dihadapi antara lain proses pencatatan data yang masih dilakukan secara manual, kesulitan dalam pencarian data, serta potensi kesalahan dalam pengolahan informasi aset. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Thinking yang terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi serta wawancara terhadap pengguna yang terlibat dalam pengelolaan inventaris. Prototype sistem dirancang menggunakan Figma, kemudian dievaluasi menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation yang melibatkan lima evaluator serta usability testing terhadap lima responden menggunakan platform Maze. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rancangan antarmuka yang dihasilkan mampu meningkatkan kemudahan penggunaan dan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan data inventaris. Selain itu, proses evaluasi juga menghasilkan beberapa rekomendasi perbaikan terkait navigasi sistem, konsistensi desain, serta penyajian umpan balik kepada pengguna. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode Design Thinking dan Heuristic Evaluation dapat mendukung pengembangan desain UI/UX sistem inventaris yang lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.

Abstract

Student discipline is a key factor in the success of education and character development in pesantren; however, violations disrupting order still frequently occur. This study aims to identify the strategies implemented at Pondok Pesantren Perkampungan Minangkabau to improve student discipline. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving observation, interviews, and document collection from the pesantren administrators, kyai, and students. The findings reveal that the pesantren applies the IQOB strategy, a form of punishment or penalty functioning as a means of self-evaluation and self-improvement, thereby fostering the growth of independent, disciplined, ethical, and responsible individuals. These findings provide a concrete depiction of disciplinary challenges in pesantren and demonstrate the effectiveness of the IQOB strategy in creating a more conducive learning environment. The study also opens opportunities for further research on unresolved issues related to discipline.
