Abstract

AbstractToday, Malang is a city that is starting to become crowded with population housing. This has resulted in the amount of green open space for absorption of rainwater to be reduced and causing floods in several places. The flood disaster that occurred in Malang City was a quite serious disaster and needed rapid handling, because flooding often occurs in densely populated housing. Therefore, the prediction of floods needs to be done in advance so that anticipation and mitigation can be done as early as possible. The purpose of this study is to implement the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) algorithm to predict the occurrence of flooding in Malang City. The data used are rainfall and rainfall intensity data in Malang City. The data is predicted in the future as input in modeling the Tsukamoto FIS method to predict flood events with the smallest error value. The prediction results generated by the Tsukamoto FIS algorithm are the number of possible flood events that will occur. From the results of the tests conducted on the data on the number of flood events in 2016-2017, the RMSE error value that was quite small was generated, which was 2.76. So, by using the results of rainfall and rainfall intensity estimates from the previous research, Tsukamoto's FIS modeling can be implemented to predict the number of flood events in Malang City for the next three years starting in 2018-2020.

Abstract

Anthropometric and Physical Environmental Analysis of Grain Milling Rooms to Reduce Work RisksAbstract. Grain milling is the process of processing dry grain into rice with the help of machines that are fully controlled by workers at certain stations. Humans as workers are in the milling room with many risks such as noise and vibrations caused by the machine and anthropometers that are not yet guaranteed to be suitable for the workers operating the machine so this needs to be studied based on ergonomics studies. The research aims to analyze the anthropometry of machines and workers and the physical environment to reduce work risks. The research method used experimental methods which were studied directly in the rice milling room in Batu Putik Village, East Lombok. The parameters studied are anthropometry, noise level, mechanical vibration, temperature and lighting level. The research data was analyzed using simple mathematics with the help of Microsoft Excel and then compared with the threshold value (NAB) for each parameter. The results of the research show that the anthropometry at the 3 stations studied, namely the first station where the grain is inserted is 2 meters, meaning the hopper is above the operator's head, the second station, the output of 50% broken grain has a height of 92 cm and the third station, namely the output of clean rice ready to be packaged, has a height of 92 cm. cm. Meanwhile, the results of analysis of the physical environment show that the temperature is above NAB and lighting is below NAB, while mechanical vibrations and noise levels are above the threshold value NAB. So it can be concluded that the grain milling production room can be said to not meet ergonomic standard.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the antibacterial activity of Bridelia micranth Lombok extract on the pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli. The independent variable in this study was the concentration of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract. The concentration of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract in this study was varied from 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. The dependent variable is the ability of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract as an antibacterial. The antibacterial ability of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract was measured based on the diameter of the clear zone with three repetitions. As a comparison, an antibacterial is used, namely amoxicillin. Data analysis in this research was carried out descriptively, and then non-parametric tests were carried out to test the homogeneity of the data. In this study, the antibacterial ability of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract was discovered. At a concentration of 20%, the average diameter of the inhibitory zone was 2.5 mm which was categorized as none (resistance), 40% concentration was 9.83 mm in the non-existent category (resistance), 60% concentration was 13.66 in the weak category (intermediate), and at a concentration of 80% 16.5 mm is in the medium (sensitive) category. The research results indicated that Bridelia micrantha leaf extract had antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli bacteria. When compared with amoxicillin, the ability of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract as an antibacterial is still lower. Amoxicillin was able to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli by 18.13 mm, while the highest ability of Bridelia micrantha leaf extract was 16.5 mm. Based on Ministry of Health regulations, antibacterials can be used if the inhibition zone is between 14-18 mm. So, Bridelia micrantha leaf extract can be used as an antibacterial, but it needs to be tested further before being applied to the public.

Abstract

National soybean production is not enough to meet the national demand for soybeans so there is a need to increase the production of this commodity because it is needed as a raw material for various processed products. The utilisation of dry land as soybean cultivation land is still lacking. This is due to several factors, namely cultivation techniques, and limited fertilisation. So the use of cultivation techniques by applying biocompost fertiliser is one approach to improve soil nutrients and also the use of Trichoderma spp. bacteria helps soybean plants to avoid wilt disease.  This study aims to determine the growth response of several varieties of soybean on dry land by applying biocompost fermented by Trichoderma spp. The method used in this research is an experimental method carried out by manipulating the object of research and the existence of controls. The research was conducted on dry land in Giri Tembesi Village, Gerung Sub-district, West Lombok Regency, the soil type of the experimental site was regusol soil with a pH of 5.7 and organic matter moisture content of 0.77%. The results showed that the application of biocompost to several varieties of soybean has not been able to spur plant growth but in general can adapt to dry land. Differences in soybean varieties resulted in significantly different growth responses in plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, flowering age and weight of 100 soybean seeds. However, there is no significant difference in the application of biocompost on the vegetative and generative growth of soybean in dryland which is thought to be caused by the dose of biocompost given is not optimal. Therefore, further research is needed to obtain the optimal dose of biocompost.

Abstract

Mineral soil has a high bulk density and is a limiting factor as a nursery medium. For the application of nursery media, planting media that is light, large water holding capacity are also needed. The magot compost comes from the Magot Lingsar unit the Regional TPA of NTB Province and the soil contains pumice an average of 68.2% comes from Tanak Beak Village, Central Lombok Regency, which has potential as a medium for nurseries. The purpose of this study was to identify the Bulk Density and water holding capacity of magot compost and soil containing pumice with the control variable of mineral soil from Labuapi, West Lombok Regency. Bulk density analysis method by analyzing dry weight per unit volume on soil rings and water capacity by analyzing wet weight minus dry weight. The subjects studied were magot compost with size < 2 mm, soil containing pumice size < 2 mm and control soil mineral rice fields. The results showed that the lowest Bulk Density was magot compost 0.42 gr/cm3, soil containing soil 0,64 gr/cm3, and rice field soil 1.42 gr/cm3, this was because magot compost was residue from waste. While the largest water holding capacity was soil containing pumice of 42.67%, magot compost 22.00%, and paddy soil 6.33%, caused by the number of macro and micro pores in pumice, whereas in magot compost water is bound to the humus surface. Suggestions for further research are the permanent wilting point time test on plant seeds.

Abstract

Dry land with low rainfall results in minimal availability of irrigation water. However, the lack of irrigation water is not an obstacle in cultivation if the right, effective and efficient irrigation method is applied, namely drip irrigation. This study aims to see the effect of applying drip irrigation techniques with different water discharge treatments on tomato plant growth. This research was conducted in Batu Putik Village, East Lombok Regency from August 12, 2020 to September 20, 2020. This research method uses experimental methods by conducting direct experiments in the field. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments 4 times repeated so that 12 experimental units were obtained. Each treatment was P1 with a 90° tap slope discharge, P2 with a 45° tap slope discharge, and P3 with a 15° tap slope discharge. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results of the drip irrigation technique design performance test showed an average uniformity coefficient percentage of 94% in all treatments. The results of this test provide an insignificant effect on plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves of tomato plants. So this insignificant result shows that the application in the field in relation to water efficiency should use P1 with less water distribution but gives the same effect as P2, and P3 on tomato plant growth. While in wet and dry stems, there is a significant effect between treatments.

Abstract

The Melandean plant or Bridelia micrantha (Hochst.) Baill is traditionally used by the community to treat various human diseases, such as poisoning, paralysis, digestive diseases, diabetes, syphilis, and other diseases. Bridelia micrantha is believed to have active chemical compounds in the form of secondary metabolites which are useful for treatment. This active chemical compound is contained in the roots, leaves, seeds, skin, stems, and fruit. Bridelia micrantha leaves were used as samples in this study to analyze the secondary metabolite compounds contained therein. Leaf extraction was carried out using 80% methanol solvent through a maceration process. Analysis was carried out qualitatively using the phytochemical screening test method and quantitatively using the thin layer chromatography test method. Based on the results of the phytochemical screening test carried out, it is known that Bridelia micrantha is positive for containing active compounds in the form of flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids. The results of the thin layer chromatography (TLC) test showed that flavonoid compounds were found with an Rf value of 0.437, tannin compounds with an Rf value of 0.312, saponin compounds with an Rf value of 0.625, and alkaloid compounds with Rf values of 0.125, 0.187, 0.312 and 0.5.

Abstract

This service aims to produce a thematic map that describes the distribution of shops or perfume sales outlets in Lowokwaru District, Malang. This sub-district has high economic activity and is one of the strategic areas in Malang City. Capable spatial data is needed to analyze distribution patterns and support business decision making. This service uses a field survey method to collect primary data, which is then processed using QGIS software. The data collected includes the location of the perfume shop, regional characteristics and accessibility. Furthermore, spatial analysis was carried out to identify the concentration pattern of perfume outlets in the area. The results of its service show that perfume outlets shine in areas with high accessibility, such as around campuses, shopping centers and areas with dense commercial activity. On the other hand, several other areas, such as organizational and peripheral areas, have market potential that has not been exploited optimally. This shows an opportunity for business actors to develop more effective marketing strategies and reach underserved areas.
