Abstract

Posture while working will influence work results and have a health impact on workers. Rapid upper limb assessment (RULA) is a method for analyzing work posture on the job using the upper part of the body. This research examines the risk level of work postures in the leather shoe industry. This research was conducted in the leather shoe industry located in Semarang. This research uses the RULA method to assess the risk level of work postures. Body area measured by RULA was divided into two groups, namely group A (arms, forearms, hands) and group B (neck, body). The RULA score is obtained based on observing the worker's body posture, including neck, arms, back, legs, and load. The observed scores are then converted into final RULA scores. It was found that the body posture of workers in the leather industry was at a score of 6 and 7. This score has implications for the need for further research regarding the body posture of the following workers. Work posture correction must be done immediately to prevent further health impacts.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional problems that usually occur in teenagers are undernutrition and overnutrition, as well as anemia. This can cause changes in health conditions in adolescents. Adolescents with with higher nutritional status will be at risk of experiencing degenerative diseases such as hypertension. Apart from that, psychosocial aspects in adolescents are also very important in the development process. If teenagers are unable to cope with the changes within themselves, this will result in an identity crisis which, if not resolved, will result in stress for teenagers. Nutritional status and prolonged stress are risk factors for hypertension in adolescents. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and stress and the incidence of hypertension in high school students at SMAN 1 Sampang. Method: The research method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Sampang with a population of 25 respondents. The sampling method used is total sampling. The analysis methods used are univariate and bivariate analysis. Univariate analysis was used to determine the distribution of nutritional status, stress and the incidence of hypertension, while bivariate analysis was used to determine the relationship between nutritional status and stress and the incidence of hypertension using the chi-square test. Result: The research results show that risk factors for hypertension include nutritional status and stress. Adolescents with the habit of consuming foods with high energy density result in excessive energy intake. This results in fat deposits which can cause blood vessels to narrow and result in high blood pressure. Apart from that, during adolescence many changes occur in teenagers. This situation causes teenagers to experience stress. Prolonged stress results in hypertension. Conclution: There is a relationship between nutritional status and stress and the incidence of hypertension.

Abstract

Seawater intrusion in Gili Trawangan, North Lombok Regency, can be identified through groundwater salinity testing. This study aims to evaluate changes in groundwater salinity values as an indicator of seawater intrusion in the region. The test was conducted by taking well water samples and analyzing them at the Lombok Island Health Laboratory. The results showed that the groundwater salinity value before the water withdrawal project by PT Berkat Air Laut in 2012 was 5.00‰. During the groundwater withdrawal project period (2013-2022), the salinity value increased to 5.71‰, and post-project, the salinity value reached 6.07‰. These findings indicate that groundwater in Gili Trawangan was classified as brackish water from the start, with increasing salinity values indicating seawater intrusion. However, this increase is still in the low category, at 0.71‰ during the project and 0.36‰ post-project, so it is not classified as significant water pollution.
