An Analysis of Metaphors in the Other Hands Novel by Chris Cleave Yuli Yanti; Sufil Lailiyah

Metaphor was figurative expression, the transferred sense of physical word, the personification of an abstraction, the application of a word or collocation to what it did not literally denote to describe one thing in terms of another. Metaphor could be found in many media like newspapers, magazines, novels, etc. In this research the researcher indentified the metaphor and described meaning of metaphor in The Other Hands Novel.The data in this research were the sentence that contained metaphor in The Other Hands Novel. This research was done by analyzing the data qualitatively. There was some steps to analyze the data they were: Identifing the sentences in The Other Hands novel, analyzing the metaphors in the sentences to identify the components of metaphor. The researcher defined the source domain and the target domain and analyzed the metaphors in the sentences to find out the literal and non-literal meaning of the metaphor.The findings of the analysis reveal that there were eighteens data of meaning in metaphors found by researcher. The researcher expected the next researchers to do the analysis on metaphors with other object of research. The researcher also expected the next researchers to identify metaphors with different relevant theories.

Peternakan di Indonesia didominasi oleh peternakan skala kecil. Peternak ini menjalankan sistem pemeliharaannya dengan sangat sederhana terutama perhitungan kebutuhan pakan belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan ternak. Permasalahan yang lain, saat musim hujan pakan hijauan berlimpah sedangkan di musim kemarau pakan hijauan, terutama rumput, jumlahnya terbatas, sehingga dibutuhkan teknologi pengawetan pakan saat pakan melimpah. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mentransfer IPTEK berupa pengolahan pakan fermentasi dengan menggunakan FJLB (fermented juice of ephypitic lactic acid bacteria) di Kelompok ternak Putra Rahayu dan Ngudi Rejeki di Kelurahan Tawang Rejo, Kecapatan Jatipurno, Kabupaten Wonogiri. Kelompok ternak di kelurahan ini beranggotakan petani-petani kecil, dimana kegiatan berternak adalah kerja sambilan dan bukan penghasilan utama. Sehingga rata-rata jumlah ternak yang dimiliki, khususnya ternak ruminansia hanya berkisar kurang dari 5 ekor. Pelatihan pembuatan silase pakan komplit ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 Juni 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini pemberian materi atau penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Metode pengambilan data adalah interview dan kuesioner. Tahapan pelatihan dimulai dengan pemberian materi kemudian praktik secara langsung. Mitra mencampur semua bahan konsentrat dan hijauan yang sudah dicacah kemudian dicampur dengan molases dan FJLB. Semua bahan kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam drum sampai padat dan ditutup rapat. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peternak meningkat pengetahuannya tentang cara menyusun ransum, cara membuat silase, dan tahu cara membuat FJLB sebanyak 100%. Kegiatan pengabdian ini juga menghibahkan alat berupa pencacah rumput odot dan penggiling jagung. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini diperoleh bahwa mitra meningkat pengetahuannya tentang fermentasi pakan silase dan cara pembuatannya. Livestock in Indonesia is dominated by small-scale livestock. This breeder runs a straightforward maintenance system and is not following good and successful farming methods. Feed technology is not yet known, especially the calculation of feed requirements of livestock. Small-scale farmers do not yet understand how to provide the daily amount of feed to their livestock. Another problem is that during the rainy season, forage feeds are abundant. In the dry season, forage feeds, especially grass, are limited, so feed preservation technology is needed in the rainy season so that it can be given during the dry season. This community service aimed to transfer science and technology to process fermented feed using FJLB (fermented juice of ephypitic lactic acid bacteria) in the Putra Rahayu and Ngudi Rejeki livestock groups in Tawang Rejo Village, Jatipurno District, Wonogiri Regency. The livestock group consists of small farmers, where livestock farming is only a side job and not the main income. So that the average number of livestock owned, especially ruminants, is only around five heads. This complete feed silage-making training was held on June 20, 2021. The methods used in this service were interviews, questionnaires and training. After training on making feed silage with FJLB, farmers increased their knowledge about how to prepare rations, how to make silage, and know how to make FJLB. Through this service, tools in the form of a mutton grass chopper and corn grinder are also provided, which are useful for farmers to feed livestock so that they are more efficient and can use the land around their homes for food source plants, namely elephant grass and corn. Through this service activity, it was found that partners increased their knowledge about fermented silage feed and how to make it.

Parasitic diseases usually attack cattle or sheep, which can cause a decrease in livestock productivity. One of the parasitic diseases that arise is caused by the cage's cleanliness and poor management of faecal waste. This community engagement activity aims to increase farmers' knowledge about ruminants' parasitic diseases and train them to produce organic fertilizer from cow faeces. The activity was carried out at the Putra Rahayu Cattle Group Farmers in Tawangrejo Village, Jatipurno District, Wonogiri Regency. Activities included conveying information about parasitic diseases and training on making organic fertilizer from cow faeces. This livestock group has 25 members. All participants participated in the activity enthusiastically. As many as 28.6% of respondents already know how to make organic fertilizer. All participants did not know about parasitic diseases. After counselling and training, farmers' knowledge increased by 72.4% about how to make organic fertilizers and increased 100% of their knowledge about parasitic diseases in livestock. The results of the cow faeces test found that Toxocara sp., strongyle and trematode parasite eggs were then given a grant in the form of parasitic drugs for ruminants. This activity concludes that farmers' knowledge of parasitic diseases and organic fertilizers increases.

This research is motivated by the problems that occur, namely students have basically carried out a HOTS-based teaching and learning process or are oriented towards higher-order thinking skills, but during the evaluation process, the measuring instruments or questions used have not been able to measure students' high-level thinking skills. . The type of research to be conducted is Research and Development or R&D (Research and Development). This research refers to the Borg and Gall model which is limited to 7 stages from 10 initial stages, which include potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing and design revision. The instrument used is in the form of a rating scale to determine the feasibility of the product and to determine the response of educators and students to the feasibility and attractiveness of the product using a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out, namely collecting data from the validation results of evaluation experts, material experts and language experts, educators and students of SD / MI. HOTS assessment based on problem solving which was developed "Very Feasible or Very Interesting" to be used as a tool for students to train their abilities in higher order thinking. This acquisition was obtained based on product validation by evaluation experts, material experts and linguists. The results of the evaluation from the evaluation expert reached the "Very Appropriate" category with a percentage of 83.84%. The results of the assessment of the material expert received the "Very Appropriate" category with the percentage obtained, namely 88.33%. Whereas in the results of the linguist's assessment the percentage obtained was 87.77% with the category "Very Appropriate".Â

ABSTRACT This study aims to develop audio-visual learning on floor exercise in subjects PJOK at SMP Negeri B Srikaton. Which can be used to support learning. The learning media made is in the form of audio visual to determine the quality of the audio visual seen from the aspects of validity and practicality. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri B Srikaton. This study aims to develop an audio-visual on floor exercise material and to determine the quality of the audio visual in terms of validity and practicality. This research is a development research that refers to the ADDIE development model, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate. The instrument used to measure the quality of the audio visual developed includes a validation sheet and a practicality sheet. The validation sheet is filled in by experts (linguists, material experts, and media experts). While the practicality sheet was filled out by students in individual tests (one to one test) and small group tests (small group test). The product of this research is in the form of audio visuals on the floor exercise material for class VII SMP. The results showed that: (1) the audio visual quality seen from the validity aspect was included in the valid category with an average score of 3.05 and (2) the audio-visual quality seen from the practical aspect is categorized as practical with an average score of 3.27. This research is motivated by the Batak Toba language in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency which is used every day by the community when communicating in the form and meaning of reduplication aspects. The focus of this research is the form and meaning of the reduplication of the Toba Batak language in Tengganau Village. This research aims to describe the forms of reduplication of the Toba Batak language in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency and analyze the meaning of the reduplication of the Toba Batak Language in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. The theory used in this research is Ramlan. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research method is a descriptive research method. Data collection techniques in this research include interviews, recording (audio), fishing and notes. The conclusion of this research is to form language speakers who have knowledge and skills so that the author knows the form of Toba Batak language reduplication in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. This research has implications for teaching Indonesian language learning. The results of the research can be used by teachers in the field of Indonesian language studies as teaching material, especially in the fields of morphology and semantics. In addition, this research provides information to teachers and students about reduplication or rewording. This research can later be used as teaching material in Indonesian language subject matter, namely reduplication. The more students understand the reduplication material with the teaching materials, the higher the students' appreciation of the language.

Pemberian pakan komplit yang mengandung limbah pertanian kepada ternak akan meningkatkan utilitas bahan pakan terutama limbah pertanian. Pengawetan dengan cara silase bisa menjadi solusi saat pakan sulit ditemukan di musim kemarau. Silase yang ditambahkan additif akan meningkatkan kualitas fermentasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh yang ditimbulkan dari pakan silase pakan komplit dengan aditif fermented juice lactic acid bacteria (FJLB) yang berbeda terhadap imbangan energi dan nitrogen ternak domba lokal. Sebanyak 12 ternak domba lokal jantan dengan bobot badan awal 17,67 ± 1,7 kg (umur 12 bulan) disusun dalam rancangan acak lengkap. Ransum terdiri dari jerami padi, bungkil kedelai, jagung, dedak padi, pollard dan mineral mix yang disilase menjadi pakan komplit selama 3 minggu. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini antara lain yaitu T1= Silase tanpa aditif FJLB, T2= Silase dengan aditif FJLB dari Pennisetum purpureum, T3= Silase dengan aditif FJLB dari Pennisetum purpupoides, dengan 4 ulangan tiap perlakuan. Analisis data menggunakan uji ANNOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi energi dan energi tercerna pada T2 lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan control dan T3. Pemberian FJLB memberikan nilai kecernaan energi, energi termetabolisme, dan energi metana yang sama di semua perlakuan. Penambahan aditif FJLB menurunkan konsumsi protein kasar, namun aspek protein kasar tercerna, kecernaan protein kasar, protein kasar termetabolisme, dan allantoin menunjukkan nilai yang sama dengan kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan penambahan aditif FJLB pada silase pakan komplit masih memberikan deposisi energi dan protein yang sama.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the role of cooperatives in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit, especially in the administrators and members of school cooperatives in SMAN Banjarmasin City. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique as many as 163 people consisting of administrators and members of school cooperatives. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and questionnaires to administrators and members of school cooperatives and by taking references from journals, books and other relevant sources. Instrument analysis in this study used the Rasch Model. Data analysis in this study was conducted using descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption analysis, simple regression analysis and partial test (t-test). The results showed that there was a positive influence between the role of cooperatives on the entrepreneurial spirit of the administrators and members of school cooperatives in Banjarmasin City High School.

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how employee performance at R-Hotel Rancamaya Bogor is impacted by workload, training, and motivation. Primary and secondary data make up the study's data 104 employees completed questionnaires that yielded primary data. On the other hand, secondary data came from pertinent company and other sources. This study used a survey approach along with a type of verification and descriptive research methodology. The questionnaire makes use of traditional assumption testing, reliability tests, and validity tests. Prior to doing multiple regression testing, the Likert scale is employed. This is done in order to ascertain how one dependent variable is affected by the four independent variables that were employed. Based on the findings of validity and reliability tests, which demonstrate that all indicators are deemed valid and reliable, the study's conclusions are drawn. Workload (X1), training (X2), and motivation (X3) all have an impact on employee performance (Y) at R-Hotel Rancamaya Bogor at the same time. Employee performance is impacted by all independent variables, however somewhat.
