Abstract

THis community service activity aims to enhance the human resource capacity of Dasawisma members in effective administration management as a family development data base at the sub-district level. The assistance was conducted using a participatory approach and hands-on practice, including socialization, technical administrative training, and reflective discussion. The results indicated an increase in Dasawisma members' understanding of the importance of orderly, systematic, and integrated administration in supporting social activities. Members' technical skills in managing family data, filling administrative books, classifying information, and preparing simple reports improved significantly. Furthermore, the assistance strengthened communication and coordination between Dasawisma and sub-district officials, promoted group independence, and strengthened Dasawisma's role as a key data source for family development. These findings confirm that planned and participatory higher education assistance plays a strategic role in community empowerment, supports good governance at the local level, and can serve as a replicable model for other community development programs.

Abstract

Hospitals are healthcare service organizations with complex characteristics, as the services provided are directly related to patient safety, clinical quality, and quality of life. In recent years, hospital service characteristics have evolved in response to increasing demands for service quality, greater attention to patient experience, and the accelerated adoption of digital technologies in healthcare delivery. These developments require a more comprehensive understanding from a hospital management perspective. This article aims to analyze the characteristics of hospital services from a hospital management perspective, with particular emphasis on the integration of service quality, patient experience, patient-centered care, and service digitalization. This article employs a conceptual-analytic approach based on a literatur review. The analysis is conducted through the examination and synthesis of concepts and findings from previous studies related to hospital service characteristics and hospital management published between 2020 and 2025. The literature is used as a theoretical foundation and conceptual reference to build an analytical framework, rather than as the object of a systematic review. The analysis indicates that service quality remains a fundamental foundation of hospital services, particularly in ensuring patient safety and clinical quality. However, service quality alone is no longer sufficient to explain the overall value of hospital services. Patient experience has emerged as a strategic dimension influencing patient satisfaction, trust, and hospital reputation. Furthermore, the implementation of patient-centered care strengthens the shift in service orientation toward patient needs, while digitalization reshapes interactions between patients and healthcare providers. In conclusion, hospital service characteristics are multidimensional and need to be managed in an integrated manner. Hospital management is required to combine clinical quality, service processes, patient experience, and organizational readiness for digital transformation in order to deliver patient-oriented and sustainable healthcare services.

Abstract

The low contribution of the tourism sector to job creation in West Kalimantan Province remains a critical concern within the context of regional economic development. Despite an increase in the number of tourist attractions, suboptimal management has limited the sector’s ability to generate broad-based economic impacts. Furthermore, the concentration of tourism activities in specific areas has constrained the positive effects of rising tourist arrivals. This study aims to analyze the influence of the number of tourist attractions, the number of tourists, and the number of hotels on employment absorption in West Kalimantan Province during the 2018–2023 period. A quantitative approach was employed using time series secondary data analyzed with EViews 13.0 software. The findings reveal that, partially, the number of tourist attractions has a significant and positive effect on employment absorption, while the number of tourists and hotels have no statistically significant effect. However, when assessed simultaneously, all three variables exhibit a positive and significant impact on employment absorption. These results suggest that comprehensive tourism sector development can serve as a key driver for job creation and regional economic growth. The study’s implications underscore the need to optimize the management of tourist attractions, enhance destination promotion, and strengthen collaboration among government, communities, and private stakeholders to broaden the economic impact of the tourism sector in West Kalimantan.

Abstract

This study examines the regulation of the minimum marriage age in Indonesia from the perspectives of child protection and Islamic law. The issue is grounded in the persistence of child marriage despite the enactment of Law Number 16 of 2019, which equalizes the minimum marriage age for men and women at 19 years as a follow-up to Constitutional Court Decision Number 22/PUU-XV/2017. This research employs a normative juridical method using statutory, conceptual, and Islamic law approaches. The findings show that the minimum marriage age regulation is normatively aligned with the principles of child protection, gender equality, and maqashid sharia, particularly through the concepts of baligh, rusyd, and maslahah. However, its implementation remains ineffective due to the frequent use of marriage dispensation, strong cultural and economic pressures, and low public legal awareness. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative analysis of state law and Islamic legal principles in assessing the effectiveness of minimum marriage age regulation as an instrument for preventing child marriage. This study emphasizes the need for stricter judicial supervision, stronger legal literacy, and community-based prevention strategies to ensure comprehensive child protection.
