Abstract

The agriculture and fisheries sectors are the 2 main sectors that support increasing food security in Indonesia. A new breakthrough that combines both sectors is the aquaponic cultivation system. This community service activity aims to utilize abandoned pools in the RT. 13, Damai Baru Village, Balikpapan, has become aquaponic cultivation to help the local community meet household food needs. The methods used are location surveys, problem identification, partner coordination, program outreach, creation of aquaponic cultivation ponds, and evaluation. The series of transformations carried out include designing, cleaning and increasing the size of the pool (length, width, and depth), adding a protective roof and hydroponic pipes, spreading fish seeds and water spinach, and educating on aquaponic maintenance. The resulting pond transformation has a size of 3.2 x 1.8 x 1.5 meters and 48 hydroponic planting holes. The aquaponic cultivation used is a combination of catfish and water spinach. Keywords: Aquaponics, Cultivation, Hydroponics, Catfish, Water Spinach

Abstract

Purpose — This study aims to identify research trends and patterns in the field of social entrepreneurship.Method — We employed a descriptive bibliometric analysis methodology to identify publications related to social entrepreneurship between 2020 and 2022. Using the Scopus database, we conducted data collection by utilizing the keyword "social entrepreneurship" and imposing a limit of 200 journal articles with the assistance of Publish or Perish (PoP) software for metadata extraction. To carry out the bibliometric analysis, we utilized the VOSviewer software.Result — The findings from bibliometric mapping conducted with VOSviewer indicate that, within the timeframe of 2020-2022 and within Scopus indexed publications focusing on social entrepreneurship research, a total of 200 articles were gathered, all of which provided complete year information. Notably, the most significant surge in publications was observed in 2020, with a total of 155 articles being published in journals (constituting 65% of the total), while the lowest number of publications occurred in 2022, with just 15 publications (making up 7.5% of the total). The bibliometric mapping exercise revealed the emergence of five distinct keyword clusters: entrepreneurial intention, digital entrepreneurship, entrepreneur, social entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship.Contribution — This study offers a substantial scholarly contribution to forthcoming directions in entrepreneurship literature, specifically within the realm of social entrepreneurship research. The research approach employed here involves bibliometric analysis, which is recommended as an initial step for identifying areas where future research can make meaningful contributions and uncover sustainable research avenues.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of the industries engaged in the fabrication sector with 20 workers. The small work location makes the production area full of machines and piles of scattered equipment that can cause danger to workers and the company. The absence of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in the production process is very risky, so it can cause hazards and occupational diseases. This study aims to avoid and reduce the risk of work accidents that occur at PT. XYZ with work tools using hand drills by conducting risk analysis and control using the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) method to identify hazards and assess risks. The results of this study are that work must be strictly guarded by HSE Officers, know the SOP, must use PPE so that safe, comfortable work is created, and production increases.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting (emesis gravidarum) are common complaints among pregnant women in their first trimester, which can disrupt nutritional balance and negatively impact maternal quality of life. Various non-pharmacological interventions, such as aromatherapy, have been employed to alleviate these symptoms. This study aims to examine the effect of lemon (Citrus limon) aromatherapy administered via inhalation on the severity of nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women at the Wangi-Wangi Public Health Center. A quantitative research method was utilized, employing a pre-experimental design (one-group pretest-posttest). The study population consisted of 104 pregnant women, with a sample of 41 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results indicated that the mean score of nausea and vomiting prior to the intervention (pretest) was 16.05, while the mean score after the intervention (posttest) was 12.85. Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of lemon aromatherapy inhalation in reducing the severity of emesis gravidarum. In conclusion, lemon aromatherapy inhalation therapy is effective in alleviating nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women. It is recommended that public health centers consider incorporating lemon aromatherapy as part of complementary midwifery care for managing emesis gravidarum.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in instilling the 5S culture (Smile, Greet, Salute, Polite, and Courteous) among students at SMK 3 Perguruan Cikini, South Jakarta. The positive attitudes instilled through school culture play a crucial role in character formation. Although the implementation of the 5S culture in this school has been carried out, observations indicate that some students have not maximally adopted this culture. BK teachers play a strategic role in implementing this program through various strategies, including education, collaboration with other teachers, and positive communication approaches. The results show that while there has been progress, challenges in consistency and program effectiveness still need to be addressed to achieve the desired character formation goals.

Abstract

Lack of understanding about individual counseling services among students often leads to negative perceptions of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers. Some students still view BK teachers as figures of discipline enforcement rather than as supportive facilitators for problem-solving. This study aims to explore students' perceptions of individual counseling services at MAN 6 Jakarta, focusing on three aspects: cognitive, affective, and conative. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of the study included six eighth-grade students, one BK teacher, and one vice principal for curriculum. The results showed that in the cognitive aspect, some students had limited understanding of the purpose of individual counseling and still associated the BK room with punishment. In the affective aspect, students initially felt anxious or nervous when invited to counseling sessions but eventually experienced relief and comfort during the interaction. Regarding the conative aspect, only a few students were willing to seek counseling voluntarily, while most preferred to wait for a summons or would only come when overwhelmed. Meanwhile, the BK teacher perceived the students as open and responsive. This indicates a discrepancy between teacher and student perspectives. The findings conclude that students' perceptions of individual counseling are still influenced by stigma and incomplete understanding. Thus, consistent socialization and a humanistic approach are needed to help students view individual counseling as a safe and supportive space for personal growth and problem resolution.
