Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the principal’s strategy in improving educational quality at SD Negeri 19 Gelumbang by using observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the principal’s strategy includes empowering teachers’ competencies, and complete learning resource centers, working together to develop learning models, attempting to foster good cooperation with teachers and staff, and improving teachers’ discipline, including requiring teachers to participate in every school. The school environment at SD Negeri 19 Gelumbang is supportive of teaching and learning activities. The main source of strength is students’ eagerness to learn. Close family relationships among students are also practiced in the school environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan ketidakharmonisan keluarga dengan interaksi sosial siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 10 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif korelatif dengan populasi berjumlah 172 siswa yang terdiri dari siswa kelas XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, XI IPS 3, XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2. Pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara memberikan instrumen berupa skala angket yang telah diuji melalui uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan melakukan uji normalitas menggunakan uji Kolmogorov Smirnov dan diperoleh hasil data berdistribusi normal, uji linieritas dan uji linieritas regresi sederhana. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah product moment pearson. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji product moment pearson diperoleh (0,000 < 0,05) yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketidakharmonisan keluarga siswa termasuk dalam kategori sedang yang ditunjukkan dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 63,26. Tingkat interaksi sosial siswa termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi dengan menghasilkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 79,60. Terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara ketidakharmonisan keluarga dengan interaksi sosial siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 10 Jakarta, hal ini diketahui dari nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,527 yang artinya hubungan ketidakharmonisan keluarga dengan interaksi sosial bersifat sedang. Dengan demikian, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dan dapat dikatakan ketidakharmonisan keluarga memberikan kontribusi (sumbangsih) sebesar 27,8% terhadap interaksi sosial dan sisanya sebesar 72,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.

Abstract

This community service was held with the intention to empower teachers of SD N Manyaran 01 Semarang through English languange training. This service is in the form of training that aims to equip teachers at SD N Manyaran 01 Semarang to be able to have the skills to speak, communicate in English properly and correctly, and this training is intended for all teachers, both English teachers and teachers of other fields of study. Based on observations, participants’English skills vary, some already know how to speak using English, but some do not understand applying the right vocabulary in communicating. This training is carried out in a structured manner within a period of 2 months. Based on the implementation of the training and evaluation of the results, the author concludes that the grammar understanding of SD N Manyaran 01 teachers has increased quite significantly. One of the focuses of the material in this training is the learning of grammar and vocabulary in an integrated manner into speaking activities. The trainees were able to understand grammar more easily and applicatively, so that the English speaking skills of SD N Manyaran 01 Semarang teachers improved significantyly. Participants were more motivated to activity use expressions in English in the school environment. In addition, the confidence and accuracy of the participants’ English vocabulary pronunciation also increased significantly

Abstract

The advancement of independent learning assessment in secondary education (SMA/MA) is intended to establish a more adaptable assessment system that aligns with students' needs and offers a thorough view of their capabilities. This approach can greatly encourage students to engage in learning and enhance the quality of education. Considering the importance of exploring and understanding the concept of independent learning assessment in secondary schools in Indonesia, this study aims to describe the process of developing independent learning assessment in SMA/MA institutions, utilizing a library research methodology. The findings reveal that, in practice, the implementation of independent learning assessment in SMA/MA does not significantly differ from other educational levels or previous curricula. Nonetheless, the policy on developing independent learning assessment grants students greater autonomy in how their learning occurs, provides increased motivation and innovation, and allows students to select their learning pathways based on their individual talents, interests, and skills.

Abstract

Abstract: This study highlights the importance of developing students' religious character to create a generation that is moral, ethical, and highly principled. In the era of globalization, religious values are often neglected, making schools play a crucial role in supporting the development of students' religious character. This study employs a qualitative method to explore the experiences, views, and interpretations of students, teachers, and parents regarding the process of forming religious character. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the factors that hinder the development of students' religious character in schools and to seek effective solutions to overcome these obstacles. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The research findings revealed several significant challenges, such as the lack of parental attention to their children's religious education, inadequate school facilities, and a shortage of professional teachers who can effectively guide students in religious aspects. These challenges require immediate attention and action. Therefore, schools need to collaborate with parents to raise awareness of the importance of religious education, improve school facilities, and recruit and train competent teachers in religious education. Government support in the form of policies and funding is also crucial to ensure the effective development of students' religious character. Keywords: religious character formation, religious education, school-parent collaboration Abstrak: Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pembentukan karakter religius siswa dalam menciptakan generasi yang bermoral, beretika, dan berintegritas tinggi. Di era globalisasi, nilai-nilai religius sering kali terabaikan, sehingga sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung perkembangan karakter religius siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menggali pengalaman, pandangan, dan interpretasi siswa, guru, serta orang tua terkait proses pembentukan karakter religius. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor penghambat dalam pembentukan karakter religius siswa di sekolah, serta mencari solusi yang tepat untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan beberapa kendala utama, seperti kurangnya perhatian orang tua terhadap pendidikan agama anak-anak, fasilitas sekolah yang belum memadai, dan keterbatasan jumlah guru profesional yang mampu membimbing siswa dalam aspek keagamaan. Kendala-kendala ini memerlukan perhatian dan tindakan segera. Oleh karena itu, sekolah perlu bekerja sama dengan orang tua untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan agama, memperbaiki fasilitas sekolah, serta merekrut dan melatih guru yang kompeten di bidang keagamaan. Dukungan dari pemerintah dalam bentuk kebijakan dan pendanaan juga sangat dibutuhkan untuk memastikan pembentukan karakter religius siswa berjalan dengan efektif. Abstract

Berbahasa Inggris lisan tampaknya tidak mudah bagi sebagian besar guru di SD Pangeran Diponegoro Semarang, karena guru-guru tersebut mayoritas tidak memiliki latar belakang pendidikan bahasa Inggris. Keigatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris para guru SD Pangeran Diponegoro Semarang yang tidak memiliki pendidikan formal untuk mengajar bahasa Inggris SD. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 24 orang guru yang tidak memiliki latar belakang pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang dilaksanakan pada SD Pangeran Diponegoro yang berlokasi di Jl. Jatimulyo No. 19 Pedalangan Kec. Banyumanik, Kota Semarang. Hasil pengabdian adalah 85% guru setelah pelatihan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap konsep classroom language, peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan classroom language dari rata-rata nilai awal 60 menjadi 85, dan penerapan bahasa inggris dalam aktivitas kelas minimal 20% dari waktu pengajaran menjadi rencana tindak lanjut pengabdian ini

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of media in conditioning classes in Fiqh learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in class VIII-1. The media used is a wall magazine (mading) which functions as an aid that can create a conducive, interesting, and interactive learning atmosphere. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach with 3 data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews with three informants and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is to analyze the results of observations, interviews, and documentation, then reduce the data so that the results obtained are in accordance with the indicators and focus of the study, and then draw conclusions from the final results. The results of this study indicate that wall magazine media (mading) can increase students' interest in learning, strengthen their understanding of Fiqh concepts, and encourage active student participation in the learning process. In addition, this wall magazine media (mading) provides a creative space for students to convey ideas and opinions related to Fiqh learning and can make the classroom atmosphere more conducive when explaining the subject matter.

Abstract

The School Field Introduction Program (PLP) aims to provide education students with direct experience in a school environment. Conducted at SMK Adi Luhur Jakarta, this program lasted for four months and involved students from various study programs. The activities included observation, lesson plan preparation, teaching and learning processes, as well as collaboration with mentor teachers. The results demonstrated that students were able to develop pedagogical competence, understand students' needs, and enhance professionalism through practical experience. By integrating theory and practice, this program contributes to improving the quality of education and prepares students to become adaptive and competent educators.

Abstract

This research is development research. This study aims to develop learning tools in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Learner Worksheets (LKPD), and research instruments based on information skills on the subject of ecosystems for grade XI high school students and determine the quality of learning tools in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This development research was conducted based on the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used in this research are the lesson plan assessment questionnaire, the LKPD assessment questionnaire, and the assessment instrument assessment questionnaire to measure the validity value; the learning management observation sheet and student response questionnaire and observation sheet to measure practicality; and the learning outcomes test to measure the effectiveness of learning devices. The product trial was conducted at SMAN 2 Binjai on July 24, 2023, and August 7, 2023. The quality of the validity of the learning device meets the valid criteria indicated by the total average validity of the RPP, which is 89.29%, the total average validity of the LKPD, which is 75%, and the total average validity of the assessment instrument, which is 77.75%. The quality of the practicality of learning devices meets the practical criteria indicated by the average limited test results of 79.65% and the total average of field test results of 88.
