Abstract

Discipline in the payment of tuition fees is an important aspect of school financial management, especially in private educational institutions. This research aims to optimize student grouping based on tuition payment discipline by applying the K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) algorithm integrated with the Entropy method as a feature weighting technique. The data used is historical data of tuition payments of students of SMK Diponegoro with attributes such as gender, number of siblings, profession and salary of parents, and status of aid recipients. After going through the preprocessing and normalization stages, the K-NN algorithm is applied with a value of K = 10 and distance calculation using Euclidean Distance. Test results with confusion matrix show an accuracy of 75.86%, recall 80%, and precision 61.54%. This proves that the K-NN algorithm optimized with the Entropy method is quite effective in classifying students into the “Right” or “Late” category in paying tuition fees.

Abstract

Demokratisasi politik yang bergulir di Indonesia kini sangat memerlukan ragam tawaran konsep-konsep politik pada umat Islam agar mereka semakin cerdas dan arif menghadapinya. Sehubungan dengan itu, maka ajaran politik manaqib Syaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jailani menjadi sangat relevan diketengahkan di tengah publik. Wacana-wacana  politik yang berkembang di seputar manaqib lambat laun akan menjadi tawaran-tawaran sikap politik bagi para peminatnya. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa aktivitas membaca terjemahan  manaqib berarti menafsirkan. Membaca dan menafsirkan berarti “menulis ulang” dalam bahasa mental dan bahasa pikir pembaca. Keberanian penulis untuk membahas manaqib didorong olehbeberapa tulisan yang telah ada sebelumnya. Ada dua tahap yang dilakuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu tahap pembacaan heuristik dan pembacaan hermeneutik. Pada pembacaan heuristik, penulis memfokuskan pada struktur bahasa dan penggunaan istilah. Adapun pada pembacaan hermeneutik, penulis memaknakan teks yang dianggap sebagai tanda terhadap sesuatu yang tersirat dari teks yang terbaca. Dalam telaah teks, penulis mengabaikan sisi prinsip historis menyangkut ruang dan waktu yang ada dalam narasi isi manaqib. Oleh karena itu, isi tulisan ini tidak akan menjawab persoalan apakah isi teks manaqib termasuk sejarah atau mitos.

Abstract

As one of the most comprehensive Islamic thinkers in the realm of thought, al-Gazz?l? to be one of the points of references to Islamic thought in this day, including in this case is about the concept of state and government. This article wants to show the wealth of thought of al-Gazz?l? relates to state and government. According to al-Gazz?l?, the political power and religion has a very strong interdependence. This case he is expressed in terms of ad-d?n as?s wa a?-?ul??n h?ri? (religion as a basis and sultan or the country as a protector). Thus, al-Gazz?l? firmly stated that the construct of the state and the government is demand of religion (min dar?riyy?t asy-syar’i) that can not be ignored (l? sabi?la il? tarkih). Furthermore, in this article, showed that al-Gazz?l? considers the Imamate or the government is a successor of the Prophet. It’s because of his function that inheren with the religious issues, so the caliph in running his government is regarded as a saint (muqaddas). About the source of authority of power, alGazz?l? considers that it is not a God given (theocracy) but by the support of the wider community represented by people who are influential (‘ahl asy-syawka) and followed by other people. Al-Gazz?l? stressed that the rise and fall of a ruler depends entirely to the presence and absence of support from the community (Muslims). So, in this case, al-Gazz?l? is differ with the mainstream paradigm of Shiite and also does not have a fatalistic paradigm (Jabariyah).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the curriculum of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at IAIN Pontianak, focusing on the aspects of relevance, objectives, and implementation. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with document analysis methods. Data is obtained from curriculum documents and the vision-mission of the study program, as well as analysis of student theses, to assess the alignment between academic policy directions and research practices. The analysis results show that the curriculum of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at IAIN Pontianak integrates the study of Arabic language education, religious values, and elements of Borneo culture, which are formulated in the vision, mission, objectives, course structure, and academic programs such as drama-based muhadatsah. This integration has become a characteristic that distinguishes this study program from other Arabic language education programs in Indonesia. However, weaknesses are still found in the selection of thesis topics by students, which generally focus on pedagogical issues and have not widely examined the cultural dimensions of Borneo. The limitation of this research lies in its scope, which is only based on document analysis without supporting field data. Further research is recommended to study the implementation of the curriculum through field studies in analyzing the curriculum.

Abstract

The Merdeka Campus Internship Program at Yudharta Pasuruan University is part of an effort to enhance the quality of education by integrating academic theory and real-world practical experience in the workplace. Although the academic curriculum provides a foundation of knowledge, students often struggle to develop learning independence and professional skills when facing real challenges in the field. This issue encourages the need for a systematic and structured internship program to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The aim of this research is to analyze the design, implementation, and evaluation of the internship program in improving students' learning independence and their readiness to face the workforce. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, with data collection through observations of internship activities, logbooks, weekly reports, and interviews with students, supervising lecturers, and industry supervisors. Data analysis is conducted by linking field findings to Kolb's Experiential Learning principles, which include concrete experience, reflection, conceptualization, and active experimentation. The research results show that the internship program effectively reinforces the principles of Experiential Learning, where students are able to apply theory to practice, reflect on experiences, develop improvement strategies, and enhance self-directed learning. The evaluations conducted collaboratively between lecturers and industry partners also strengthen the development of technical competencies and soft skills, including creativity, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve literary literacy among students of An Nahdloh Islamic Boarding School, Tanjong Sepat, Selangor, Malaysia, through Nusantara poetry writing training. The background of this activity is based on the low interest and ability of students to appreciate and write literary works, even though the cultural potential and Islamic values they have are very rich and worthy of being raised in the form of poetry. This program is implemented through five main stages, namely: preparation, socialization, training, evaluation, and sustainability. The training is structured with a participatory and contextual approach, involving students in the creative process of writing, reading, and discussing poetry openly. The results of the evaluation showed a significant improvement in the understanding of the elements of poetry and the ability to write creatively. As a follow-up, the An Nahdloh Santri Literary Community was formed and the publication of a digital anthology "Bait dari Pesantren" is planned. This activity proves that literature can be a strategic medium in strengthening character, enriching cultural insights, and building a bridge of expression between Islamic values and the cultural identity of students.

Abstract

This study uses classroom action research. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS 5 in the fourth (even) semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 31. Thus, this research is classified as populative research. There are four stages in the implementation of actions in each cycle, namely (i) action planning, (ii) action implementation, and (iii) action observation, and (iv) action reflection. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. Before being given action, it turned out that the ability to analyze the poet's message in the poetry of class XI IPS 5 semester four (even) for the 2018/2019 academic year was very disappointing. As many as 31 students did not complete KKM 75. However, after the teacher changing the learning model using guided inquiry learning in cycle I, the ability to analyze the poet's message in poetry has increased tremendously normal. Of the 31 students, 30 students (97%) were declared to have reached KKM 75. There was only one student (3%) who was declared incomplete. In cycle II, the ability of class XI IPS 5 students in terms of analyzing the poet's message in poetry also experienced a remarkable increase. Of the 31 students, 31 students (100%) were declared complete with KKM 75. In addition, the scores obtained by each student also experienced a very significant increase.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the ideal strategic partnership model for implementing the Independent Learning Campus Internship (MBKM) program in higher education. Systematic and sustainable partnership management is crucial for optimally supporting the implementation of the MBKM program. The research approach employed was a descriptive qualitative one, utilising data collection techniques that included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results indicate that despite the existence of a basic MBKM implementation structure, challenges such as limited documentation, suboptimal training, and weak evaluation of collaboration remain significant obstacles. This study led to the development of a strategic partnership model comprising four main pillars: collaborative planning, institutional organisation, internship program implementation, and evaluation and sustainability of the collaboration. Two key components strengthen this model: enhancing the digitalisation system and fostering an ethical and inclusive partnership culture. The implementation of this model is expected to improve the effectiveness of collaboration, strengthen student competencies, and enhance the institution's reputation through sustainable and career-relevant partnerships.

Abstract

Misyār marriage constitutes one of the most contentious issues in contemporary Islamic legal discourse. Although it is formally recognized as valid, it raises significant social and ethical challenges. Previous research has primarily focused on the legality of misyār marriage within fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), state regulations, or public responses. This article addresses a gap in the literature by examining how religious scholars affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in East Java negotiate normative texts, scholarly traditions, and social realities in their responses to this phenomenon. Employing a socio-legal framework, the study draws on semi-structured interviews with 14 key informants, non-participant observations within four residential communities in Surabaya, and document analysis of classical fiqh texts alongside marriage archives. The findings identify three principal models of misyār marriage in Surabaya: as a strategy utilized by career women, as short-term unions designed to circumvent bureaucratic complexities, and as transnational marriages involving foreign men. These practices are motivated not solely by biological needs but also by economic, social, and cultural factors. The responses of NU religious scholars coalesce into two main orientations: cultural scholars, who emphasize the contractual validity based on the principle of tarāḍī (mutual consent), and structural scholars, who oppose the practice by highlighting the sacredness and ethical objectives of marriage, particularly the protection of women, children, and the family institution. This article argues that the ensuing debate reflects an epistemological dialectic between formal legality and social legitimacy, while also demonstrating that Islamic law in the Indonesian context serves a dual function: preserving the continuity of the fiqh tradition and simultaneously acting as a dynamic site of change responsive to contemporary socio-cultural developments. [Nikah misyār merupakan salah satu praktik perkawinan paling kontroversial dalam wacana hukum Islam kontemporer karena, meskipun sah secara formal, praktik ini menimbulkan problematika sosial dan etis. Studi-studi terdahulu cenderung berfokus pada aspek legalitas fikih, regulasi negara, atau respons publik. Artikel ini berupaya mengisi kekosongan tersebut dengan menelaah bagaimana para ulama yang berafiliasi dengan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) di Jawa Timur menegosiasikan teks normatif, tradisi keilmuan, dan realitas sosial dalam merespons fenomena ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosio-legal melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur terhadap 14 informan kunci, observasi non-partisipan di empat komunitas perumahan di Surabaya, serta analisis dokumen berupa kitab-kitab fikih dan arsip pernikahan. Temuan penelitian mengidentifikasi tiga model utama praktik nikah misyār di Surabaya: sebagai strategi perempuan karier, sebagai perkawinan jangka pendek untuk menghindari kerumitan birokrasi, dan sebagai perkawinan transnasional dengan laki-laki asing. Motivasi dari praktik ini melampaui sekadar pemenuhan biologis, melainkan juga mencakup dimensi ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya. Respons para ulama NU mengerucut pada dua arus utama: ulama kultural yang menekankan validitas kontraktual berbasis prinsip saling rida, dan ulama struktural yang menolak praktik ini dengan menekankan kesakralan serta tujuan etis perkawinan, khususnya perlindungan terhadap perempuan, anak, dan institusi keluarga. Artikel ini berargumen bahwa perdebatan tersebut mencerminkan dialektika epistemologis antara legalitas formal dan legitimasi sosial, sekaligus menunjukkan bahwa hukum Islam dalam konteks Indonesia berfungsi ganda: melanjutkan kesinambungan tradisi fikih sekaligus menjadi arena perubahan yang responsif terhadap dinamika sosial-budaya kontemporer.]

Abstract

. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemikiran Muhammad Basiuni Imran terkait kompetensi pendidik, dengan fokus pada sikap ikhlas dan tanggung jawab. Kompetensi pendidik tidak hanya mencakup kemampuan akademik dan pedagogik, tetapi juga aspek kepribadian yang mempengaruhi efektivitas dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif berbasis studi literatur, dengan pengumpulan data dari buku, artikel, jurnal, dan wawancara. Narasumber utama dalam penelitian ini adalah Dr. Erwin Mahrus, M.Ag, seorang akademisi dan penerjemah manuskrip Basiuni Imran.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Basiuni Imran menekankan pentingnya nilai-nilai moral seperti kesabaran, kebijaksanaan, keikhlasan, dan tanggung jawab dalam profesi pendidik. Sikap ini menjadi fondasi utama dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan, mencegah konflik akibat perbedaan pemahaman, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang harmonis dan kondusif. Selain itu, pemikirannya sejalan dengan standar kompetensi kepribadian pendidik yang mencakup sikap jujur, berwibawa, dan mampu menjadi teladan bagi peserta didik.Kesimpulannya, pemikiran Basiuni Imran memberikan panduan moral dan profesional bagi pendidik agar dapat menjalankan tugasnya secara efektif dalam membangun karakter dan kecerdasan peserta didik. Konsep ikhlas dan tanggung jawab yang ia tekankan memiliki relevansi tinggi dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan modern serta dalam membentuk pendidik yang tidak hanya kompeten secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki integritas moral yang kuat.
