Abstract

Perpustakaan universitas halu oleo  kendari merupakan perpustakaan yang menjadi pusat informasi bagi pengunjung yang berada di lingkungan kampus dengan kondisi pemustaka yang heterogen baik dosen maupun mahasiswa.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan Studi perpustakaan (library research) yaitu dilakukan dengan cara  menelaah berbagai literatur yang ada kaitannya dengan objek penulisan proposal. Selain studi perpustakaan juga dilakukan Penelitian lapangan (fieldresearch) dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik yaituObservasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi pustakawan harus memiliki 3 tahapan yang disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) Komunikasi informatif (2) Komunikasi Persuasif (3) Komunikasi koersif.

Abstract

Principal communication is an important factor in directing teacher performance to be better. This research aims to measure how much influence the principal's communication has on the performance of elementary school teachers. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. This method has nine stages, namely: literature review, identifying and limiting research problems, developing research hypotheses, making research designs, conducting pretests, conducting experiments, conducting posttests, processing and analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. The research sample consisted of 10 teachers, consisting of 5 teachers in the experimental class and 5 teachers in the control class. The data collection technique used is the observation of teacher performance. The research instrument used was the teacher's performance observation sheet. The research results showed that communication by the principal had a significant and positive effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in the experimental class. The communication carried out by the school principal must be carried out continuously and the quality improved so that the teacher's performance in other aspects can develop.

Abstract

The low quality of the learning process at SMPN 6 Muntok, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency is caused by teachers in carrying out the learning process. This research method is action research which is carried out in two cycles. The results of the study improved teacher performance in the preparation of the rpp as a whole was in the pre-cycle by 75% after the first cycle action to 82%, and after the second cycle action increased again to 96%. For the implementation of learning, the overall improvement of teacher performance was in the Pre-cycle by 77% after the first cycle action to 84%, and after the second cycle action increased again to 91% (very good category). Based on the results of the above action research can be concluded as follows. Academic supervision through individual guidance carried out by the principal on teachers can improve teacher performance at SMP Negeri 6 Mentok Kecamatan Muntok Kabupaten Bangka Barat for the 2018/2019 Academic Year in learning management, both aspects of learning planning and learning implementation. This is shown from the results of observations on RPP from pre-cycle to cycle I there was an increase in the average score of 7%, from pre-cycle to cycle II 21%, from cycle I to cycle II 14%. Similarly, the average score of the learning implementation process from pre-cycle to cycle I was 7%, from pre-cycle to cycle II 14%, from schyklus I to cycle II 7%.

Abstract

Low writing motivation is a result of students' lack of interest in writing, their lack of writing vocabulary, and their inability to develop their ideas into written form. There are two types of student motivations: those that come from within the student, known as intrinsic motivation, and those that come from the outside, known as extrinsic motivation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the writing motivation of students at SMKN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The sample for this study consisted of 36 students in the tenth grade who were majoring in computer and network engineering, with 19 male and 17 female students making up the total. This study employs a quantitative design because it is a suitable method for gathering statistical information to address research questions. The findings demonstrated that SMKN 1 Bangkinang students in the tenth grade had better intrinsic motivation to study English, particularly writing. This is demonstrated by the average intrinsic motivation score (3.76) which is greater than the average extrinsic motivation score (3.31). In other words, they write because they want to be proficient writers.

Abstract

The realistic mathematics education learning model is one of the appropriate learning models to be applied in elementary schools. This research aims to measure how much influence the realistic mathematics education learning model has on the cognitive and affective thinking skills of elementary school students. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental method. This method has nine stages, namely: literature review, identifying and limiting research problems, developing research hypotheses, creating research designs, conducting pretests, conducting experiments, conducting post-tests, processing and analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. The research sample amounted to 28 students, consisting of 14 students in the experimental class and 14 students in the control class. The data collection technique used was a test of students' cognitive and affective thinking skills. The results showed that the application of the realistic mathematics education learning model had a significant effect on the cognitive and affective thinking skills of elementary school students in the experimental class. Other cognitive and affective thinking skills can be further researched in order to get broader findings.

Abstract

The implementation of elementary school teachers' working groups is very important to be carried out regularly in order to build understanding among teachers on the quality of learning. This research aims to measure how much influence the implementation of teachers' working groups has on the discipline and professional skills of elementary school teachers. The method used in this research is the quasi-experimental method. This method has nine stages, namely: literature review, identifying and limiting the research problem, developing research hypotheses, creating a research design, conducting pretests, conducting experiments, conducting post-tests, processing and analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. The research sample amounted to 18 teachers, consisting of 9 teachers in the experimental class and 9 teachers in the control class. The data collection technique used was observation of teacher discipline and professional skills. The results showed that the implementation of teachers' working groups had a significant effect on the discipline and professional skills of elementary school teachers in the experimental class. The implementation of the teachers' working group should be carried out continuously and its quality should be improved so that it can have more influence on other aspects of teacher performance.

Abstract

Anxiety is a common feeling among language learners. This research investigated the impacts of language learning anxiety on English as Foreign Language (EFL) students' speaking and writing abilities. Data were collected from 102 EFL college students, to whom questionnaires were distributed to assess students' performance. Speaking and reading tests were also conducted, followed by semi-structured interviews to confirm the findings from the quantitative phase. The analysis of variance revealed significant results for speaking and reading anxiety which confirmed previous findings stating that high levels of anxiety negatively affected students’ speaking ability, while reading anxiety could facilitate language learning. In addition, social factors weaken students’ speaking performance, but the opportunity to use reading strategies could improve reading task performance. The implications of the research for speaking and reading anxiety were also discussed in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui kebutuhan pengembangan katalogisasi dalam penelusuran informasi pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. (2) Mengetahui desain pengembangan katalogisasi dalam penelusuran informasi pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara.(3) Mengetahui tingkat kevalidan dan kepraktisan pengembangan katalogisasi dalam penelusuran informasi pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Hal ini dikaji dengan menerapkan penelitian Research and Development (R&D), mengacu pada langkah-langkah model pengembangan Alessi dan Trollip yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan (Planning), tahap desain (design), dan tahap pengembangan (development) dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah ahli media, pustakawan dan pemustaka di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penentuan informan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sample dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan menggunakan format skala Likert dan validitas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah validitas logis (logical Validity) dan validitas empiris (Empirical Validity). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Penelusuran informasi ini dilakukan untuk memudahkan memperoleh sumber referensi informasi ilmiah yang bersifat kredibel, sehingga kebutuhan informasi dapat terpenuhi. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan mengembangkan katalogisasi sistem penelusuran informasi perpustakaan dengan menggunakan aplikasi INLISlite V.3.1. 2) Desain pengembangan katalog penelusuran informasi Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi dilakukan melalui menu Entri Katalog pada INLISlite V.3.1 dan OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). 3) Berdasarkan hasil validasi pada dua ahli yaitu ahli media dan ahli isi menyatakan bahwa katalog penelusuran informasi Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara menggunakan INLISlite V.3.1 masuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Begitu pula dengan hasil uji coba kepraktisan pada pengguna dalam hal ini yaitu pustakawan dan anggota perpustakaan mendapatkan hasil sangat praktis. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem penelusuran informasi mengunakan INLISlite V.3.1 Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara sagat valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Perpustakaan FKIP mengalami kelemahan dari segi pemeliharaan bahan pustaka. Hal ini ditinjau dari koleksi perpustakaan yang kurang terawat sehingga menyebabkan koleksi bahan pustaka menjadi rusak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran seorang pustakawan dalam pemeliharaan bahan pustaka diperpustakaan FKIP Universitas Halu Oleo. Teknik penentuan informan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purpose sampling. Artinya, informasi ditentukan berdasarkan tujuan dan kebutuhan peneliti, dengan pertimbangan mampu memberikan informasi atau informasi tentang masalah yang diteliti.Subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 2 orang.jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 orang. teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Peran pustakawan dalam pemeliharaaan bahan pustaka diperpustakaan merupakan tugas utama pustakawan dimana seorang pustakawan mampu mengelola bahan pustaka yang disediakan oleh perpustakaan, salah satu bentuk pengelolaan yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan adalah pemeliharaan dalam kegiatan memperbaiki/melindungi, menjaga dan mencegah kerusakan.Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam rangka memelihara bahan pustaka agar tetap terpelihara dan dapat digunakan secara efektif oleh pengguna selanjutnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Wattpad terhadap minat baca siswa di SMA N 1 Pasarwajo. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menyebarluaskan kuisioner dan menjadikan siswa SMA N 1 Pasarwajo sebagai sampelnya. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik random sampling dimana semua individu dalam populasi dapat dipilih sebagai sampel. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner (angket) dan data pendukung lainnya diperoleh dari kepustakaan. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliablitas, uji regrensi liner dan uji korelasi. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukkan erdapat pengaruh pemanfaatan Aplikasi Baca Wattpad terhadap Minat Baca Siswa di SMA N 1 Pasarwajo. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil perbandingan r hitung dengan r tabel yaitu r hitung lebih besar daripada r tabel (10,716 > 1,652) atau signya kurang dari 0.05. Adapun pengaruhnya sebesar 36,9 %.
