Abstract

Important to strengthen religious moderation in students, as a manifestation of the National Mental Revolution Movement which is embodied in Strengthening Character Education as mandated by Permendikbud Number 20 of 2018, including religious character and nationalism. These two characters are directly proportional to religious moderation which is always preached by Islamic organizations in Indonesia that Pancasila is a State Ideology that can unite all ideologies, ideologies and orientations in Indonesia. This study uses qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the study show that (1) the emergence of mutual respect for one another, namely the tolerant attitude of fellow students and students and teachers. Moderation developed at Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran High School has implications for mutual respect and tolerance (2) There is an ability possessed by students to receive and reject information that leads to extremism-fundamentalism and exclusivism in schools. (3) The emergence of awareness of teachers with extreme views to no longer indoctrinate students to follow their understanding.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how the Strategic Plan for Teacher Quality Improvement is implemented in Deli Insani Tanjung Morawa Integrated Islamic Private Elementary School, Deli Serdang Regency. School quality improvement is one of the tasks and functions of the school principal as a leader, which is a crucial factor in enhancing teacher quality in the school. As the highest authority in the school, the principal's leadership style and strategies significantly influence the school's progress. Planning for the utilization of school resources by the principal involves the involvement of all available resources and facilities within the school. Data collection for the research was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentary studies. The steps of data analysis included data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions from the data. To ensure data validity, techniques such as credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability were employed to examine the data. The findings of this research can be summarized as follows: 1) The Strategic Plan for Teacher Quality Improvement in the School includes educational planning, school program planning, principal's strategies, and teacher quality enhancement in the school. 2) The Implementation of the Strategic Plan for Teacher Quality Improvement in the School entails teacher supervision, involving educators in meetings, workshops, and teacher workgroup activities, as well as recognition. 3) The Supporting Factors and Obstacles of the Strategic Plan for Teacher Quality Improvement in the School involve good cooperation among all educational personnel, while obstacles include inadequate facilities and welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The effect of internalizing Islamic religious values ​​on bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk Pakam, (2) The effect of Qur'ani literacy on bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk Pakam, (3) The effect of internalizing values Islamic religion and Qur'anic literacy on bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk Pakam. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk which is located at Jalan Pantai Labu Gang Pendidikan, Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency. This research method is a quantitative research with a correlative study description research method. Research population VII to IX with a total of 365 people. Researchers took a sample of 33% of the total population. Thus 33% of 365 students are 122 students. The findings of this study indicate that: Internalization of Islamic religious values ​​towards bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk Pakam is 13.8%, Qur'ani literacy towards bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk Pakam is at 5.4%, internalization of Islamic religious values and Qur'anic literacy on bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuk Pakam by 18.3% while the remaining 81.7% came from other variables outside the variables of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the principal's leadership in increasing the competence of teachers who are ready for inclusive education at SPNF SKB Medan, to find out the principal's leadership in increasing parental concern for the handling of children with special needs at SPNF SKB Medan and to find out the principal's leadership in forming inclusive classes at SPNF SKB Medan. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects directed at collecting data from school principals. Data collection was carried out using observation, semi-structured interviews and document studies. The results of the study show that the leadership of the principal of inclusive education at SKB Medan is to provide the best service that is owned by the existing school's capabilities, move learning from ordinary classes to the computer lab, give teachers freedom to adjust learning methods and subject matter to students' abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the inculcation of spiritual values ​​in shaping student character through faith and piety building evening activities at Private Aliyah Madrasah Islamic College Foundation Batang Kuis. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are 1. Faith Development Night activity program and Taqwa (MABIT) is carried out to strengthen the program of instilling spiritual values ​​that have been implemented by madrasas. Mabit activities are carried out using various methods and various strategies to instill spiritual values ​​in students. 2. Supporting factors in implementing the planting of spiritual values ​​through MABIT activities at MAS YPI Batang Kuis, namely the attitude and commitment of the committee in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in the success of these activities. Besides that, the enthusiasm of the participants was also a supporting factor so that parents gave positive support for the MABIT activity. 3. Spiritual valuecan be obtained by religious rituals and practicing the core of religion that is directly related to God or His creatures, in this case carrying out learning programs at Faith and Taqwa Development Night activities that have spiritual values ​​in their activities. Spiritual values ​​are divided into 3 types, namely faith values ​​(Tawhid), piety values ​​(Worship), and moral values.

Abstract

The researcher is interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the learning management in this school because its implementation targets Qur'an tahfidz with a focus on the quality of Qur'anic tahsin using Al-Baqry to recognize the students' learning methods. This study utilizes a case study approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, document analysis, and observation. Data analysis involves creating detailed descriptions of the case, data reduction through summarization, focusing on essential aspects, identifying themes and patterns, and eliminating unnecessary information to provide a clearer picture. The researcher then presents the data to facilitate understanding of the findings. Finally, conclusions are drawn, and data validity is ensured through credibility testing and confirmability using triangulation. The research results indicate that the lesson planning at MTTQ School Private Junior High School includes achieving learning objectives, designing lesson plans, syllabi, semester programs, and annual programs. The organization of Qur'an memorization learning utilizes all learning components, including task distribution and selecting teaching tactics. The implementation involves face-to-face small group sessions, with one mentor teacher responsible for 8-10 students. The schedule is developed by the Tahfidz supervisor, school principal, and mentor teachers, allocating 6 hours a day for Tahfidz learning, divided into 3 sessions: 1 hour for memorization, 3 hours for review, and 2 hours for additional memorization. Evaluation methods include introductory supervision, ongoing supervision, and feedback supervision.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine: (1) The influence of emotional intelligence on the performance of teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan; (2) The influence of stress management on the performance of teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan; and (3) The combined influence of emotional intelligence and stress management on the performance of teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan. The population of this study is all teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan, totaling 56 people, with a sample size of 30 people. The research instrument is a questionnaire using the Likert scale model. Assumption tests were conducted to test for normality and linearity. Data analysis techniques used simple and multiple regression at a significance level of α = 0.05. The findings of this research indicate: (1) The influence of emotional intelligence (X1) on the performance of teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan (Y) is 94.2% with the equation Ῠ = 6.998 + 0.911 X1; (2) The influence of stress management (X2) on the performance of teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan (Y) is 98.2% with the regression equation Ῠ = 0.283 + 1.043 X2; and (3) The combined influence of emotional intelligence (X1) and stress management (X2) on the performance of teachers at State Junior High School 35 Percut Sei Tuan (Y) is 98.3% with the regression equation Ῠ = 1.223 + 0.148 X1 + 1.206 X2. This regression line equation explains that if emotional intelligence and stress management factors increase by one unit, teacher performance will also increase by 2.557 units.

Abstract

This study analyzes the leadership style of the Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Darul Hikmah Medan using a qualitative research approach. The findings indicate that the leadership style prioritizes teacher participation in decision-making processes; however, challenges remain regarding consistency and inclusivity. Efforts to enhance teacher motivation are evident through the provision of physical facilities and incentives, although responsiveness to achievements and feedback requires improvement. Communication is facilitated through regular meetings, yet there is a need for improved assertiveness and conflict management. Overall, continuous efforts to refine managerial processes, communication, and decision-making reflect a commitment to advancing the quality of education in this madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the impact of communication and the work environment on teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah KKM 10, Serdang Bedagai. The research utilized a quantitative method, revealing a significant and strong relationship between communication and the work environment with teacher performance at KKM 10, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Correlation analysis indicated that communication (X1) has a correlation of 0,878, and the work environment (X2) has a correlation of 0,899 with teacher performance (Y), indicating a strong relationship between these factors and teacher performance. The multiple correlation analysis also showed a simultaneous correlation coefficient of 0,911, with the independent variables contributing 91.1% to the dependent variable. This finding supports the research hypothesis, which posits a positive relationship between communication, work environment, and teacher performance, and it has been empirically proven in the context of KKM 10, Serdang Bedagai Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data sources for this research are the Basic Education Council, the Principal of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan, the Deputy Principal for curriculum and student affairs, the head of administration and teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out using the Miles and Huberman model. Techniques for guaranteeing data validity by means of data triangulation and confirmability. There are four findings in this research, namely: (1) Planning for the development of teaching staff is carried out on three bases, namely: the school's vision and mission, reports on supervision results and the increasingly developing conditions of the times. (2) Organizing the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan is a functional organization, carried out by detailing all tasks, work that must be carried out and carried out by each personnel in the school organization in terms of achieving goals. (3) Implementation of the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammdiyah 2 Medan using two programs, namely On The Job Training and Off The Job Training. (4) Supervision of the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan is internal supervision. Internal supervision is supervision carried out by the highest leadership within the organization itself.
