Abstract

Schools provide understanding to students to avoid disruptive behavior. Teachers have strategies to deal with disruptive student behavior in the classroom. This study aims to describe teacher strategies in dealing with student disruptive behavior and reveal students' preferences for teacher strategies in dealing with disruptive behavior of the first grade at a public elementary school in Baki. This type of research is qualitative using a case study approach in an elementary school so that the subject of the study is teachers and students. This research data are information about teacher strategies in dealing with student disruptive behavior and students’ preferences toward teacher strategies in dealing with disruptive behavior in the classroom. The data sources used are students and teachers. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers used several strategies to deal with students' disruptive behaviour, including classroom management, taking individual approaches, behavior management, understanding student characteristics, and teaching social skills. The strategies that students prefer are classroom management, individual approach, and behavior management. Disruptive behavior of students during learning can be reduced if the teacher has an effective strategy and that strategy becomes the student's preference.

Abstract

Indeks Perilaku Peduli Lingkungan (IPPL) masyarakat Indonesia pada tahun 2012 berada pada kisaran angka 0,57 dari angka mutlak 1 (Kambuaya, 2013). Berdasarkan data tersebut, menunjukkan kepedulian lingkungan masyarakat Indonesia masih cukup rendah. Hal ini sejalan dengan kondisi yang ditemui tim KKNDik FKIP UMS MIM Kranggan. Oleh karena itu, tim KKNDik FKIP UMS MIM Kranggan mencanangkan dan melaksanakan program cinta lingkungan untuk menguatkan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIM Kranggan. Program cinta lingkungan ini merupakan integrasi dari beberapa kegiatan, sehingga metode yang digunakan pun beragam, yaitu sosialisasi, pemberian reward, gerakan kebaikan, dan praktik langsung. Program cinta lingkuan ini terdiri dari empat kegiatan, yaitu sosialisasi PHBS (Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat), lomba kebersihan kelas, gerakan membawa tumbler, dan gerakan menanam pohon. Program ini menghasilkan hasil yang positif, yaitu berupa meningkatnya kepedulian siswa untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekolah. Pengabdian ini jika dilakukan di seluruh Indonesia, mampu menciptakan manusia-manusia yang bertanggung jawab dan memberikan dampak yang siginfikan terhadap terjaganya lingkungan di Indonesia, serta mampu memberikan efek positif pada sektor yang lain, seperti terjaminnya kesehatan masyarakat Indonesia.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang dapat memberikan peluang pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat terutama peningkatan karakter profetik melalui kegiatan optimalisasi peran Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sumberjatipohon, Rt 04/Rw 01 Kecamatan Grobogan, Kabupaten Grobogan sejak 01 Februari sampai 06 Maret 2021. Pengabdian ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik karena didukung oleh masyarakat sekitar. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah optimalisasi karakter profetik yang didapatkan anak-anak Desa Sumberjatipohon melalui beberapa kegiatan pada Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pendampingan secara langsung, seperti kegiatan belajar Iqra, membaca Al-Quran, menyaksikan tayangan yang memiliki nilai edukasi, dan bimbingan belajar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penguatan karakter profetik pada anak setelah intensif mengikuti kegiatan di Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini mendeskripsikan amanat yang terkandung pada spanduk Covid-19 sebagai sumber belajar pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah 39 foto spanduk dalam spanduk layanan pencegahan Covid-19. Subjek dan objek penelitian ini adalah kata-kata atau kalimat yang berupa amanat dalam spanduk layanan pencegahan Covid-19. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk persuasi yang muncul mempergunakan pendekatan emotif, yaitu berusaha membangkitkan dan merangsang emosi para pembaca persuasi selalu bertujuan untuk mengubah pikiran orang lain, agar orang lain dapat menerima dan melakukan sesuatu yang diinginkan. Untuk menerima atau melakukan sesuatu yang diinginkan, perlu diciptakan sesuatu dasar yaitu dasar kepercayaan. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa amanat dalam wacana persuasi adalah sebuah wacana yang dapat merangsang emosi pembaca secara persuasif, atas dasar kepercayaan bertujuan untuk mempengaruhi dan mengubah pandangan dan pola pikir orang lain tentang sesuatu hal yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Language impoliteness in public spaces is clearly illustrated by the use of language that tends to be rude, threatening the interlocutor, and insulting. This impolite language behavior is usually caused by the speaker's emotions to have a psychological impact on the interlocutor. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of impoliteness of forbidden language in public spaces. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The techniques used in data collection are listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique in exploring the problem is using the referential agih and equivalent methods. The results show that the form of impoliteness in the language of prohibition includes the language of prohibition of littering with a total of nineteen impolitenesses, while the language of prohibition precedes while driving amounts to eight impolitenesses. Speeches are not accidentally carried out to provide a psychological threat so that the interlocutor is aware of the impact that will be obtained when violating the forbidden language.Ketidaksantunan berbahasa di ruang publik tampak jelas digambarkan dengan adanya penggunaan bahasa yang cenderung kasar, mengancam lawan tutur, dan menghina. Perilaku bahasa yang tidak santun ini biasanya disebabkan oleh emosi penutur untuk memberikan dampak psikologis kepada lawan tutur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk ketidaksantunan bahasa larangan di ruang publik. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pragmatik, teori pragmatik untuk mengkaji fenomena ketidaksantunan berbahasa di ruang publik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini merupakan sumber data tulis yang berwujud pernyataan atau tuturan diungkapkan melalui gambar, spanduk, baliho, dan media lainnya. Sumber data yang digunakan didapat dari hasil riset di lapangan. Data dari penelitian ini berupa wujud tuturan ketidaksantunan bahasa larangan di ruang publik dilihat dari bentuk kebahasaan yang digunakan. Tahapan penelitian ini di antaranya (1) pengumpulan data, (2) identifikasi bentuk-bentuk ketidaksantunan bahasa larangan, (3) klasifikasi dan kategorisasi, (4) analisis data ketidaksantunan bahasa larangan, (5) penafsiran makna, (6) penyajian hasil, dan (7) penyimpulan. Teknik yang dipakai dalam pengumpulan data yakni teknik simak dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data dalam menggali permasalahan yaitu menggunakan metode agih dan padan referensial. Uji validitas data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi teori. Hasil penelitian ini di antaranya: (1) ketidaksantunan bahasa larangan meliputi bahasa larangan membuang sampah sembarangan sejumlah sembilan belas ketidaksantunan, (2) bahasa larangan mendahului saat berkendara berjumlah delapan ketidaksantunan. Tuturan tersebut dilakukan secara sengaja untuk memberikan ancaman psikologis agar lawan tutur menyadari konsekuensi yang akan diterima jika melanggar bahasa larangan.

Abstract

One of the children's development that must be improved is gross motor. Locomotor motion is an activity that can improve gross motor. The purpose of the study was to improve children's gross motor through locomotor motion at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal IV Sunggingan. The research methodapplied in this study is classroom action research. This class action research is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle carries out four main activities, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the description of the results of research carried out in cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that gross motor skills through locomotor movement activities in group B children of Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal IV Kindergarten increased. This can be proven from the data from observations in each cycle. The average result in the pre-cycle presentation only reached 54% Then in cycle I the average presentation increased to 73% and the average percentage in cycle 2 increased to 93%. The increase from pre-cycle to cycle I is 19% and the increase from cycle II to cycle 2 is 20%.

Abstract

Digital literacy is one of the abilities that students must have in this digitalization era. However, the facts on the ground show that digital literacy in Vocational High Schools (SMK) has not been properly realized. From the survey results, it was found that students at Muhammadiyah Kartasura Vocational School and Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta Vocational School were less proficient in using Microsoft Powerpoint. The purpose of carrying out this service is to increase digital literacy at SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura and SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. The stages carried out in the service include Pre-Test, mentoring, and Post-Test. The form of community service is in the form of mentoring and training with a participatory approach. Meanwhile, the implementation of activities is divided into several stages, namely licensing, mentoring, and evaluation. The mentoring method is by direct practice regarding the features of Microsoft PowerPoint directly and providing experience to students. The results of the service show that students are proficient in digital literacy. Previously, students were not familiar with the various features of Microsoft PowerPoint. However, after this activity, students became proficient in using the features contained in Microsoft PowerPoint. This community service has reached the target as evidenced by increasing students' skills in understanding Microsoft PowerPoint, gaining experience through practices that can produce product outputs in the form of PowerPoint and increasing digital literacy for students at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta and SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Microsoft PowerPoint digital literacy skills have increased from before and after the dedication as evidenced by the increase in pre-test and post-test results. It can be concluded that this activity can improve students' digital literacy skills. This community service activity has the hope that students who already have initial skills regarding making Microsoft PowerPoint from the results of community service can continue to practice. In addition, the school can facilitate by continuing to assist in strengthening continuous digital literacy.

Abstract

One of the sign languages used in Indonesia is BISINDO (Indonesian Sign Language) created by the deaf. BISINDO is like the mother tongue for the deaf in Indonesia, although it is not as popular as SIBI (Indonesian Sign System). Therefore, the researchers propose to develop an Android-based prototype to promote BISINDO to others and help the deaf in daily communication. This prototype was built using coding in React Native framework and code editor of Visual Studio Code, then it was compiled to an Android Smartphone. The features include BISINDO's basic dictionary, translation from hand gesture to text, voice to sign language, text to sign language, and voice to text. This prototype is expected to introduce basic BISINDO vocabulary and practice using BISINDO. This prototype ia expected to be developed further into a more useful application, especially to assist communication between deaf people and the general public, but not as a substitution of BISINDO teachers.

Abstract

Learning in elementary school is more interesting when learning with the culture that surrounds students. This study aims to explore the ethnomathematical content of the traditional dance of Kethek Ogleng. This study uses qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques by observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is Domain Analysis and Taxonomy. The analysis steps obtain a general picture and a comprehensive concept of the object then into a concept. The result of the research is that the ethnomathematical content in the traditional dance of Kethek ogleng consists of, first, the concept of a circular flat shape, this concept is present when the dancer performs a knuckle movement. Second, build a tube room, which is found on drums as a dance accompaniment. Third, the angle is found in the curve of the foot when the dancer makes a dreamy movement. Fourth, there is a time limit on the duration of the dancer's performance. Fifth, the concept of a flat, square shape, is found in the dancer's pants decoration. The conclusions of this study prove that the traditional Kethek Ogleng dance originating from Wonogiri contains ethnomathematics. Therefore, this traditional tariff can be used as a medium for making learning designs for elementary school children.

Abstract

As material that has been prepared in the context of learning, the main textbook should have the feasibility so that it is able to carry out tasks in the world of education according to the field and level of the book. Likewise with supplementary textbooks. At this time, there will be many supplement books that are actually able to help students and educators in interacting and collaborating today. Quality textbooks are able to become adequate learning materials for students to more easily reach certain levels of Basic Competence. Textbooks are able to make students more independent in learning the substance and method. (Puskurbuk, 2012). Textbooks are able to direct students to independently access learning materials without the full help of educators. The purpose of this study is to describe the feasibility of two Indonesian supplementary textbooks used at SMKN 2 Wonogiri, namely the YW book and the E book. This research is a qualitative descriptive type with content analysis method. This study has two sources of data in the form of primary data and secondary data. The content, both content and language of the YW and E books, is primary data, while secondary data is the result of interviews with Indonesian language teachers and student questionnaires for class XII as supporting data in the study. Secondary data is used as a comparison of primary data. Testing the validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of the study stated that the Indonesian supplementary text books used at SMKN 2 Wonogiri, namely the YW book and the E book had linguistic, content, presentation, and graphic feasibility. This research is a qualitative descriptive type with content analysis method. This study has two sources of data in the form of primary data and secondary data. The content, both content and language of the YW and E books, is primary data, while secondary data is the result of interviews with Indonesian language teachers and student questionnaires for class XII as supporting data in the study. Secondary data is used as a comparison of primary data. Testing the validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of the study stated that the Indonesian supplementary text books used at SMKN 2 Wonogiri, namely the YW book and the E book had linguistic, content, presentation, and graphic feasibility. The two supplementary books mentioned above are suitable for use at SMKN 2 Wonogiri.
