Abstract

Technology has become an integral part of everyday life, including in education. This study aims to analyze the integration of visual thinking-based contextualization approach in learning photosynthesis material in grade 4 elementary school. Visual thinking helps students understand concepts visually, while the contextualization approach connects academic material with real situations relevant to students. This study used qualitative method with purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through analyzing user responses in the comments column to the types of photosynthesis learning videos found on the YouTube platform such as animated videos, experiments, and scientific presentations. The results of this study show that the variety of video types supports students' learning preferences. Animations facilitate visualization, experiments offer hands-on experience, and scientific presentations deepen concepts. The integration of visual thinking and contextualization creates a positive and interactive learning experience for students.

Abstract

This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The purpose of this research is to describe various types of directive speech in the film Hari that is promised. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of listening, note-taking, and documentation techniques. In addition, the data analysis process uses the agih and matching method. Because both are used to analyze inside and outside the language. The results of this study are that there are six directive utterances found, namely, invitations, requests, requests, orders, advises, and prohibitions. The directive speech that has been analyzed is also relevant to learning Indonesian in junior high school. In accordance with K.D 3.3 and 4.3 in SMP regarding slogan texts. Although it is stated in K.D that there are three texts, however, the focus of this research is the form of relevance to the slogan text in junior high school. In the module there are examples of slogan texts and supporting materials with linguistic features sub-chapters. An example of a slogan text can be taken from fragments of film dialogue that are included in the directive speech. Meanwhile, the linguistic features as supporting material are taken from the types of directive speech, such as invitations, requests, requests, orders, advice, and prohibitions. So it can be concluded that the directive utterances in the film The promised day can be relevant to learning Indonesian in junior high school.Keywords: Basic Competence, Learning, Directive Speech.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the Indonesian spelling and conjunctions contained on Ivan Lanin's Instagram social media account which will later be used as learning resources for seventh grade junior high school students. This research is a research using descriptive method. The data source of this study was obtained from Ivan Lanin's Instagram social media account in the form of Indonesian spelling and conjunctions. Data collection techniques used listening and note-taking techniques. The data validation technique uses data triangulation. Data analysis shows that social media accounts, especially Instagram, have benefits as learning resources that can be applied in learning or in teaching and learning activities. Forms of using Instagram social media accounts as learning resources include supporting learning activities, the internet as a source of information. The results showed that there was an explanation of the Indonesian spelling and conjunctions contained in Ivan Lanin's Instagram account. The types of spelling found on Ivan Lanin's Instagram are the use of letters, writing words, and the use of punctuation. The spelling on Ivan Lanin's Instagram is in line with the material for personal letters and official letters in KD 4.12. In addition, there is an explanation of conjunctions on Ivan Lanin's Instagram account which can then be a source of learning on narrative text material in KD 4.4.Keywords: Social Media, Instagram, Spelling, Conjunction

Abstract

Fenomena ketaksaan makna dari hari ke hari semakin menjadi sorotan. Dalam proses komunikasi serial Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya telah berhasil menempatkan ambiguitas terutama ambiguitas leksikal pada posisi strategis yang memungkinkan mempengaruhi konteks makna yang dimaksud. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud ambiguitas dalam serial Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa tuturan tokoh dalam serial Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak bebas libat cakap. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis Miles and Huberman sehingga dapat diketahui tuturan yang mengandung ambiguitas secara leksikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 20 data penelitian, terdapat 14 data yang termasuk dalam pelanggaran ambiguitas leksikal. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar tuturan dalam serial Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya terdapat ketaksaan makna secara leksikal. Namun, fenomena ambiguitas atau ketaksaan makna justru dimanfaatkan sebagai ide kreatif dalam pembuatan skenario cerita. Wujud ambiguitas tidak dianggap sebagai kesalahan berbahasa tetapi justru dikemas dengan cara disengaja untuk menjadi dasar pengembangan ide cerita.

Abstract

Numerous difficulties with learning technique, particularly with regard to learning methodologies, exist in the reality of education. The purpose of this study is to elucidate how advanced writing materials for class II elementary school pupils use Problem Based Learning (PBL). Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are the four language abilities that are relevant to learning Indonesian. Writing is regarded as the most difficult of these four subjects for primary school pupils in lower grades. The SDIT Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar teachers and class II students were the study's resource people and data sources. The Miles and Huberman technique was used to examine the data, which was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that PBL learning, coupled with serial image media, proves effective in enhancing students' advanced writing abilities. Consequently, it is inferred that PBL learning, complemented by serial image media, encourages greater student engagement by facilitating the expression of their ideas, opinions, and imaginative storytelling. The serial image media aids students in locating vocabulary and presenting the contents of images in a systematic narrative. GThe application of Problem Based Learning with Ganbar Series Media in the second-grade class reveals that, out of 30 students, five exhibit deficiencies in vocabulary and struggle with organizing the story sequence. 9 Students who write stories with a vocabulary of 40-50 vocabulary words, with the appropriate story order. And there were 16 students who were able to write stories with a vocabulary of more than 50 words with a good and systematic story sequence.

Abstract

This paper comprehensively examines the perception of the Alorese about their ancestral history, legends, and myths. It describes the Alorese people's minority status, traces their ancestral lineage, explains the interaction dynamics between coastal and inland residents, moreover unveils their intrinsic legends and myths. The primary data were from oral history interviews conducted among the Alor people in 2018, 2020, and 2022. Through qualitative descriptive methodology, the findings highlight the coexistence of the minority Muslim community with interior inhabitants despite occasional tensions, notably in the area of Pantar Barat. The paper offers a nuanced understanding of the Alorese people's journey, emphasizing their resilient cultural identity amidst broader societal norms. It examines influences shaping Alor society since ancient migrations to modern developments and scrutinizes social dynamics, shedding light on factors influencing social cohesion and cultural continuity. Emphasizing myths and legends as integral to the Alorese culture, the study underscores their role in shaping collective consciousness and identity. In conclusion, it emphasizes the resilience and cultural richness of the Alorese community, calling for further research to deepen understanding and appreciation of their unique heritage.

Abstract

Diagnostic assessment is essential for teachers to determine the initial steps before learning begins. One useful instrument in this process is performance-based assessment, which evaluates products such as writing or other creative works. This study aims to describe the process and outcomes of diagnosing poetry products using the Perplexity.ai tool. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research analyzed 30 student poems collected as part of a diagnostic assessment of Indonesian language performance for class VIII H students at SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga. Data were gathered through initial observation and documentation of the Perplexity.ai application usage. Data analysis followed Milles and Huberman's interactive approach, encompassing data reduction, categorization, presentation, and conclusion drawing.The study found that (1) the Perplexity.ai application can be effectively utilized in learning, particularly for assessing students' poetry products. Teachers input students' poetry results into the application, specify the necessary assessment indicators, and allow the tool to evaluate the poems systematically. (2) The tool significantly aids teachers in analyzing student work, offering clear insights into key aspects. The diagnostic assessment results of students' poetry products highlighted three main evaluative aspects: rhyme, diction, and figures of speech. Overall, the Perplexity.ai application streamlines the diagnostic process and enhances the efficiency of evaluating student performance in poetry writing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) prosedur pembelajaran keterampilan membaca cerpen profetik menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses, teknik tugas menyalin, dan teknik tes menggunakan bahan ajar manual; 2) hasil belajar ketermpilan membaca cerpen profetik menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses, teknik tugas menyalin, dan teknik tes menggunakan bahan ajar manual. Penelitian ini berlangsung di semester ganjil tahun akademis 2024/2025. Populasi penelitian adalah para mahasiswa semester-1 Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Kupang yang berjumlah 27 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian ini ditetapkan sebanyak 26 mahasiswa berdasarkan formula statistik. Untuk mengumpulkan data prosedur pembelajaran digunakan pedoman observasi untuk mengetahui kesesuaian antara RPP dan kegiatan pembelajaran. Untuk mengumpulkan data hasil belajar digunakan tes keteramplian membaca cerpen profetik. Daftar cek-ricek digunakan untuk memvalidasi secara internal rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca cerpen profetik Bahan ajar yang digunakan memiliki empat bagian. Data prosedur pembelajaran dianalisis secara tematik. Data hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan prosedur statistik inferensial parametrik yakni uji t satu sampel menggunakan skor baku mean ekspektasi 85,00. Hasil penelitian: 1) prosedur pembelajaran keterampilan membaca cerpen profetik menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses, teknik tugas menyalin, dan teknik tes menggunakan bahan ajar manual melibatkan 3 kegiatan awal, 27 kegiatan inti, dan 2 kegiatan akhir; 2) hasil belajar keterampilan membaca cerpen profetik mengungguli mean baku minimal di atas 85,00 yakni 85,10.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan terjadinya kedaruratan di segala bidang. Kedaruratan di bidang pendidikan ditandai dengan kebijakan pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan supervisi akademik pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di SDIT Aljabar Gondang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi.  Visitasi kelas untuk observasi pembelajaran tidak dapat dilaksanakan, dikarenakan proses pembelajarannya dengan cara pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Karena itu visitasi kelas diganti dengan visitasi pembelajaran kelas virtual. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah google form. Kepala sekolah mengirim instrumen kepada guru yang disupervisi melalui google form, selanjutnya guru tinggal mengisi. Instrumen visitasi kelas virtual mengacu pada instrumen visitasi kelas dalam pembelajaran normal, tetapi redaksinya diedit menyesuaikan kebutuhan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang pelaksanakan PJJ. Berdasarkan vitasi kelas virtual tersebut diketahui bahwa dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 para guru SDIT Al Jabar Gondang tetap melaksanakan tugasnya, yaitu dengan cara blanded learning. Pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) secara on line yang dicampur dengan pembelajaran tatap muka (PTM) terbatas secara bergiliran. PJJ dilaksanakan untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran yang esensial, sedangkan PTM terbatas untuk pengumpulan tugas dan pemberian bimbingan khusus yang tidak dapat dilaksanakan secara efektif melalui PJJ

Abstract

Learning Indonesian speaking skills in news texts with a reporting strategy as a role model is implemented to solve the problem of students' lack of speaking and presenting skills. The purpose of this study was conducted to analyze the implementation of the reportage-based speaking skill learning method in SMK. The type of approach to this research is descriptive qualitative, as a research method based on postpositivism philosophy with objects of natural conditions (the opposite of this research is experimentation). The research was conducted by interviewing, observing, and taking notes for data collection. Research subjects are researchers and their partners. Data analysis activities are carried out by explaining the technique of planning, implementing, and evaluating learning as a strategy for learning speaking skills. The findings in this study showed that students experienced an increase in their speaking skills and demonstrated in public schools with a score of 71 out of 21 instrument indicators regarding the method of applying reportage-based students' speaking skills in Vocational High Schools. In this study, the average recapitulation results were obtained at 3.38 with a maximum value of 4. The value calculation was carried out using the formula in the evaluation process.
