Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom model in the learning process in elementary schools, especially in understanding mathematical concepts.  This model has been proven to be able to increase students' learning independence and their learning outcomes.  Previous research also shows that this model is effective in improving students' abilities significantly.  The research method used is a literature review from various relevant sources.  The research results show that the Flipped Classroom model can increase students' interest in learning and their ability to understand mathematical concepts.  Several components that influence the success of this model include good interaction between educators and students, the use of technology that supports learning, students' ability to interact and interact, and easy access to online teaching materials.  The Flipped Classroom model allows students to study learning material at home before class meetings, so that class time can be used for more in-depth discussion and application of the material.  The teacher's role in this model is as a facilitator who guides students in the learning process.  Thus, the Flipped Classroom model can be used as an effective alternative in improving student learning outcomes in elementary schools, especially in understanding mathematical concepts

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of problem-based mathematics learning through blended learning with the help of Edmodo and GeoGebra in improving problem-solving skills in mathematics learning. The primary motivation of this research is to develop a learning approach that can overcome challenges in solving mathematical problems. The method used in this study used a quantitative approach, and a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design was applied. This study involved 72 students in two semesters from a university in Banten, Indonesia, with 36 students in the experimental class (11 male and 25 female) and 36 in the control class (10 male and 26 female). Data was collected through problem-solving tests before and after the learning intervention—data analysis using paired t-tests and independent t-tests. The group using Edmodo-GeoGebra (BL-UEG) and the group Edmodo without GeoGebra (BL-EWG) experienced an increase in the moderate category. In conclusion, problem-based mathematics learning through blended learning with the help of Edmodo and GeoGebra can be an effective alternative learning model for improving students’ problem-solving abilities in mathematics. Therefore, this approach deserves further exploration in learning settings.

Abstract

This study aims to measure and analyze the mental workload of employees in the Engineering department of a manufacturing company using the NASA-TLX method. The goal is to improve employee welfare and company productivity by identifying factors that cause high workloads and finding the right solution. The method used to determine the value of mental workload of employees in the Engineering department, is measured using the NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index) method. This method measures 6 dimensions of workload measurement, namely, Physical Demand, Temporal Demand, Performance, Effort, and Frustration Level. Most Informants (4 out of 5) experience a high mental workload, marked by a score above 60 on the NASA-TLX scale. The dimensions of "Time Demands" and "Mental Demands" are the main factors that contribute to the high mental workload in the tooling maker section. High mental workload is a serious problem that can have a negative impact on employee health, productivity, and job satisfaction. By implementing the right strategy, companies can reduce mental workload and create a healthier and more productive work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of product innovation and the use of celebrity endorsers on purchase intention with special attention to the role of brand attitude as an intervening variable. The research applies a quantitative approach and uses a purposive sampling method. The survey used a Google form with 400 female respondents aged 20-34 years in Cilegon City. The analysis method uses descriptive and inferential statistics, data processing uses SmartPLS software. The results of this research show that a significant influence was found between the product innovation variable and the celebrity endorser variable on the brand attitude variable. Furthermore, a significant influence was also found between the celebrity endorser variable and the brand attitude variable on the purchase interest variable, but no influence was found between the product innovation variable on the purchase interest variable for Pixy Cosmetics pressed powder products in Cilegon City. The brand attitude variable can be used as a mediating variable for the influence of the product innovation variable and the celebrity endorser variable on purchasing interest in Pixy Cosmetics pressed powder products in Cilegon City.
