Abstract

Perawatan sistem penerangan sepeda motor memerlukan integrasi pengetahuan rangkaian, keterampilan penggunaan alat ukur, dan penalaran diagnosis berbasis gejala. Kajian ini bertujuan memetakan bukti tentang video pembelajaran, pembelajaran prosedural, asesmen kompetensi vokasi, serta simulasi diagnosis untuk merumuskan kerangka desain video yang relevan bagi perawatan sistem penerangan sepeda motor cub 4 tak. Kajian dirancang sebagai systematic scoping review karena korpus mencakup studi empiris, penelitian pengembangan, review, dan sumber teknis dengan konteks yang heterogen. Pelaporan mengikuti PRISMA-ScR, PRISMA 2020, dan PRISMA-S. Penelusuran dilakukan pada Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, referensi proposal, dan penelusuran sitasi untuk publikasi 2018-Juni 2026. Dari 742 rekaman, 86 duplikasi dihapus, 656 rekaman disaring, 150 laporan dinilai pada teks lengkap, dan 50 sumber dimasukkan dalam pemetaan serta sintesis tematik. Bukti dikelompokkan ke dalam lima kebutuhan desain: visualisasi fungsional rangkaian; demonstrasi prosedural dan keselamatan; interaksi terarah melalui jeda, pertanyaan, dan job sheet; analisis gangguan dari gejala menuju keputusan; serta asesmen performa autentik. Sintesis menghasilkan Kerangka V-DIAG: Visualisasi, Demonstrasi, Interaksi, Analisis gangguan, dan Gauge performa. Kerangka ini mengubah video dari media demonstrasi pasif menjadi urutan belajar yang menghubungkan representasi rangkaian, tindakan pengukuran, penalaran sebab-akibat, dan pembuktian kompetensi. Karena hanya sebagian kecil sumber membahas sistem penerangan sepeda motor secara langsung, rekomendasi desain harus diuji melalui validasi ahli, uji kepraktisan, dan studi efektivitas pada konteks bengkel pendidikan. Motorcycle lighting-system maintenance requires the integration of circuit knowledge, measurement skills, and symptom-based diagnostic reasoning. This review mapped evidence on instructional video, procedural learning, vocational competency assessment, and diagnostic simulation to formulate a design framework for learning videos on four-stroke cub motorcycle lighting maintenance. A systematic scoping review was selected because the evidence base comprised heterogeneous empirical studies, development studies, reviews, and technical sources. Reporting was guided by PRISMA-ScR, PRISMA 2020, and PRISMA-S. Searches covered Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, proposal references, and citation searching for publications from 2018 to June 2026. Of 742 records, 86 duplicates were removed; 656 records were screened, 150 full-text reports were assessed, and 50 sources were included in descriptive mapping and thematic synthesis. Five design requirements emerged: functional visualization of circuits; procedural and safety demonstrations; guided interaction through pauses, questions, and job sheets; fault analysis from symptoms to decisions; and authentic performance assessment. These requirements were integrated into the V-DIAG Framework: Visualization, Demonstration, Interaction, Analysis of faults, and Gauge of performance. V-DIAG reframes video from a passive demonstration into a learning sequence that connects circuit representations, measurement actions, causal reasoning, and competency evidence. Because only a limited subset of the sources directly addressed motorcycle lighting systems, the framework should be validated by subject-matter and media experts and tested for usability and effectiveness in vocational workshops.

Abstract

Servis mesin sepeda motor matik empat langkah menuntut ketepatan prosedur, keselamatan kerja, penggunaan alat ukur, interpretasi kondisi komponen, dan penalaran diagnosis. Bukti tentang video pembelajaran otomotif telah berkembang, tetapi masih tersebar pada sistem pendingin, CVT, injeksi, pengapian, dan media vokasi umum sehingga belum menghasilkan prinsip desain yang terintegrasi untuk servis mesin. Kajian ini bertujuan memetakan karakteristik bukti dan merumuskan kerangka desain video pembelajaran servis mesin. Penelitian menggunakan systematic scoping review berpedoman pada JBI, PRISMA-ScR, dan PRISMA-S. Literatur ditelusuri melalui Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, SpringerLink, Crossref, DOAJ, penelusuran sitasi, serta sumber teknis resmi pada rentang 2018-Juni 2026; sumber metodologis dan teknis seminal yang lebih lama tetap dipertimbangkan. Dari 742 rekaman, 86 duplikasi dihapus, 656 judul/abstrak disaring, 150 laporan diperiksa penuh, dan 50 sumber dipetakan. Sintesis tematik hibrida menunjukkan enam kebutuhan: visualisasi prosedur, pengendalian beban kognitif, anotasi keselamatan dan standar teknis, integrasi job sheet-rubrik performa, diagnosis berbasis kasus, serta pengembangan dan evaluasi media secara bertahap. Kontribusi utama kajian adalah kerangka V-SERV yang mengintegrasikan Visualisasi prosedural, Safety annotation, Engine-subsystem segmentation, Rubric-based practice, dan Vehicle-fault diagnosis. Bukti langsung masih didominasi studi pengembangan bersampel lokal dan pengujian kelayakan; karena itu, efektivitas terhadap retensi dan performa bengkel belum dapat disimpulkan secara kausal. Video sebaiknya diposisikan sebagai standar demonstrasi dan persiapan praktik, bukan pengganti latihan langsung. Servicing a four-stroke automatic-motorcycle engine requires procedural accuracy, occupational safety, appropriate tool use, component-condition interpretation, and diagnostic reasoning. Evidence on automotive learning videos has expanded, but it is fragmented across cooling systems, continuously variable transmissions, fuel injection, ignition, and general vocational media; therefore, integrated design principles for engine-service instruction remain unclear. This review mapped the evidence and formulated a design framework for engine-service learning videos. A systematic scoping review was conducted using JBI guidance, PRISMA-ScR, and PRISMA-S. Searches covered Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, SpringerLink, Crossref, DOAJ, citation chaining, and official technical sources for 2018-June 2026, while earlier seminal methodological and technical sources were retained. Of 742 records, 86 duplicates were removed, 656 titles/abstracts were screened, 150 full reports were assessed, and 50 sources were mapped. Hybrid thematic synthesis identified six requirements: procedural visualization, cognitive-load management, safety and technical-standard annotations, job-sheet and performance-rubric integration, case-based diagnosis, and staged media development and evaluation. The main contribution is the V-SERV framework: Procedural Visualization, Safety annotation, Engine-subsystem segmentation, Rubric-based practice, and Vehicle-fault diagnosis. Direct evidence was dominated by local development studies and feasibility testing, so causal claims about long-term retention and workshop performance remain premature. Learning videos should function as standardized demonstrations and pre-practice scaffolds rather than substitutes for hands-on training.

Abstract

Studi komparatif lapangan berpasangan ini membandingkan waktu tempuh, konsumsi bahan bakar per perjalanan, intensitas konsumsi bahan bakar (L/100 km), variabilitas waktu tempuh yang teramati, dan ambang impas nilai waktu antara rute tol dan arteri Padang-Sicincin. Satu Honda Jazz RS 1.497 cc bertransmisi CVT digunakan pada 24 perjalanan yang membentuk 12 pasangan berdasarkan kategori hari, sesi, dan arah. Unit inferensial penelitian adalah 12 pasangan perjalanan. Waktu dan jarak direkam dengan stopwatch/GPS, sedangkan bahan bakar diukur dengan metode full-to-full; keterbatasan presisi metode ini diperlakukan secara eksplisit. Perbedaan berpasangan dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed-rank eksak, korelasi rank-biserial, dan interval kepercayaan bootstrap. Rata-rata waktu tempuh tol adalah 32,62 menit, sedangkan arteri 57,06 menit. Penghematan rata-rata 24,44 menit (42,83%; IK 95% 18,88-30,39) konsisten pada seluruh pasangan (W = 0; p eksak = 0,0005; r_rb = 1,00). Konsumsi total rata-rata sebesar 2,25 L pada tol dan 2,15 L pada arteri tidak berbeda secara statistik (selisih 0,10 L; IK 95% -0,46-0,57; W = 29,5; p = 0,5186). Intensitas konsumsi juga tidak berbeda (5,79 versus 6,43 L/100 km; p = 0,7334). IQR waktu tempuh tol lebih sempit (1,51 versus 18,22 menit), tetapi ukuran sampel belum memadai untuk menyimpulkan reliabilitas populasi. Dengan tarif Golongan I Rp50.500 dan tanpa memasukkan selisih bahan bakar yang tidak pasti, ambang impas berbasis penghematan waktu rata-rata adalah sekitar Rp123.977 per jam. Temuan menunjukkan keuntungan operasional utama tol pada sampel ini adalah penghematan waktu; bukti mengenai keuntungan bahan bakar belum konklusif. This paired field-comparison study examined travel time, trip-level fuel use, distance-normalized fuel intensity (L/100 km), observed travel-time variability, and the break-even value of time for the Padang-Sicincin toll and arterial routes. One 1,497-cc Honda Jazz RS with a continuously variable transmission completed 24 trips forming 12 pairs matched by day category, time period, and direction. The inferential unit was the 12 trip pairs. Travel time and distance were recorded using a stopwatch/GPS, while fuel use was measured with the full-to-full method; the method's limited precision was explicitly considered. Paired differences were evaluated with the exact Wilcoxon signed-rank test, rank-biserial correlation, and bootstrap confidence intervals. Mean travel time was 32.62 min on the toll route and 57.06 min on the arterial route. The mean saving of 24.44 min (42.83%; 95% CI 18.88-30.39) occurred in every pair (W = 0; exact p = 0.0005; r_rb = 1.00). Mean trip-level fuel use was 2.25 L on the toll route and 2.15 L on the arterial route, with no statistical difference (mean difference 0.10 L; 95% CI -0.46 to 0.57; W = 29.5; p = 0.5186). Distance-normalized fuel intensity also did not differ (5.79 versus 6.43 L/100 km; p = 0.7334). The toll route had a narrower observed travel-time IQR (1.51 versus 18.22 min), but the sample was insufficient for population-level reliability claims. Using the IDR 50,500 Class I toll and excluding the uncertain fuel difference, the mean-time-based break-even value was approximately IDR 123,977 per hour. The main observed operational benefit was therefore travel-time savings, whereas evidence of a fuel-use advantage remained inconclusive.

Abstract

Kompetensi servis sistem mesin sepeda motor tipe cub menuntut penguasaan prinsip kerja engine empat langkah, ketepatan prosedur, penggunaan alat ukur, keselamatan kerja, interpretasi gejala, dan verifikasi hasil perawatan. Video pembelajaran berpotensi memperjelas proses yang sulit diamati dan menyediakan demonstrasi yang dapat diulang, tetapi bukti menunjukkan bahwa video yang hanya merekam langkah kerja belum tentu menghasilkan kompetensi praktik. Kajian ini bertujuan mengkritisi bukti tentang desain video instruksional, pembelajaran prosedural, pendidikan vokasi, asesmen performa, dan media otomotif untuk merumuskan kerangka desain video servis sistem mesin sepeda motor tipe cub. Kajian menggunakan tinjauan literatur kritis dengan penelusuran terarah pada Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, ScienceDirect, dan SpringerLink untuk publikasi 2016-Juli 2026. Korpus akhir terdiri atas 32 sumber terverifikasi yang dianalisis melalui pemetaan deskriptif, pembobotan kekuatan inferensi, dan sintesis tematik. Enam kebutuhan desain ditemukan: standardisasi teknis dan keselamatan; eksposisi fungsional engine dan kondisi normal; rangkaian prosedur yang disertai alasan dan penalaran diagnosis; visualisasi detail melalui close-up, animasi, overlay, serta tampilan alat ukur; interaksi terarah yang terhubung dengan latihan bengkel; dan asesmen performa autentik. Sintesis menghasilkan Kerangka SERVIS: Standardisasi, Eksposisi, Rangkaian prosedur dan reasoning, Visualisasi, Interaksi, serta Skor performa. Kerangka ini memindahkan fokus dari video sebagai dokumentasi demonstrasi menuju video sebagai urutan belajar yang menghubungkan standar teknis, model mental, tindakan, data, keputusan, dan bukti kompetensi. Kerangka SERVIS perlu diuji melalui validasi ahli, uji kepraktisan, eksperimen komparatif, pengukuran retensi, dan penilaian transfer keterampilan pada unit praktik nyata. Four-stroke cub-motorcycle engine service requires integrated knowledge of engine operation, procedural accuracy, measuring-tool use, occupational safety, symptom interpretation, and post-service verification. Instructional video can make hidden processes visible and provide repeatable demonstrations; however, evidence indicates that videos that merely record procedural steps do not necessarily develop practical competence. This review critically examined evidence on instructional-video design, procedural learning, vocational education, performance assessment, and automotive learning media to formulate a design framework for cub-motorcycle engine-service videos. A critical literature review was conducted through targeted searches of Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and SpringerLink for publications from 2016 to July 2026. The final corpus comprised 32 verified sources analysed through descriptive mapping, inference-strength weighting, and thematic synthesis. Six design requirements emerged: technical and safety standardisation; functional exposition of engine operation and normal conditions; procedural sequences linked to technical reasons and diagnostic reasoning; detailed visualisation using close-ups, animation, overlays, and measuring-instrument displays; guided interaction connected to workshop practice; and authentic performance assessment. These requirements were integrated into the SERVIS Framework: Standardisation, Exposition, Reasoned procedure, Visualisation, Interaction, and Scoring of performance. SERVIS shifts the focus from video as a recorded demonstration to video as a learning sequence connecting technical standards, mental models, actions, data, decisions, and evidence of competence. The framework should be examined through expert validation, usability studies, comparative experiments, delayed-retention measures, and transfer assessments using actual workshop units.

Abstract

Abstract: The digital era has transformed the learning paradigm in vocational high schools, particularly in the field of automotive engineering. Social media has now become an integral part of students' lives, which can affect their motivation and academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the impact of social media use on learning motivation and academic achievement of automotive engineering students in vocational high schools. Quantitative research with a causal-comparative design was conducted on 71 grade XI Light Vehicle Engineering students at SMKN 1 Padang. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and academic grade documentation. Data analysis used MANOVA with Hotelling's Trace test statistics to test simultaneous effects. The results showed that social media had a positive and significant effect on students' learning motivation (F = 31.004, p 0.05), but did not significantly affect their academic achievement (F = 0.610, p 0.05). Simultaneously, social media use did not show a significant effect on the combination of learning motivation and academic achievement (Hotelling's Trace = 8.880; F = 1.421; p = 0.223). While social media can increase automotive engineering students' motivation to learn, its impact on academic achievement is less than optimal. A more targeted strategy for utilizing social media and integrating it with the curriculum is needed to maximize its potential in supporting automotive engineering learning.Keywords: Social Media, Learning Motivation, Academic Achievement, Automotive Engineering, Vocational Education.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) merupakan kompetensi kunci pada pembelajaran praktik di sekolah menengah kejuruan, khususnya program Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan K3 dengan kedisiplinan praktikum siswa kelas XI TKRO di SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel berjumlah 60 siswa yang dipilih secara total sampling. Data pengetahuan K3 dan kedisiplinan praktikum dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstandar dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif serta regresi linier sederhana berbantuan SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan pengetahuan K3 dan kedisiplinan praktikum berada pada kategori sedang. Terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara pengetahuan K3 dan kedisiplinan praktikum (r = 0,592), dengan koefisien determinasi 35,1%, yang berarti pengetahuan K3 menjelaskan sepertiga variasi kedisiplinan siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan literasi K3 sebagai strategi untuk membangun budaya disiplin dan perilaku kerja aman di SMK. Occupational health and safety (OHS) is a core competence in vocational practical learning, particularly in Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering programs. This study examines the relationship between OHS knowledge and students’ practicum discipline among grade XI TKRO students at SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh. A descriptive-correlational, quantitative design was employed with a total sample of 60 students. Data on OHS knowledge and practicum discipline were collected using validated questionnaires and analysed with descriptive statistics and simple linear regression in SPSS. The results show that both OHS knowledge and practicum discipline are at a moderate level. A significant positive correlation was found between OHS knowledge and practicum discipline (r = 0.592), with a coefficient of determination of 35.1%, indicating that OHS knowledge explains about one-third of the variance in students’ discipline. These findings highlight the need to strengthen OHS literacy to foster a safety culture in vocational schools.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Sistem Pemindah Tenaga di SMK masih menunjukkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan yang rendah sehingga diperlukan model yang lebih kontekstual dan interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Quick Response (QR) Code pada siswa kelas XI TKR SMK Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh. Penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas tiga siklus terhadap 30 siswa, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan observasi kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 43,83 pada pretest menjadi 78,40 pada posttest siklus III, sedangkan ketuntasan klasikal naik dari 6,67% menjadi 76,67%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL berbantuan QR Code efektif memperbaiki pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah siswa. Implikasinya, integrasi PBL dan QR Code berpotensi menjadi strategi pembelajaran vokasional berbasis teknologi yang mendorong kemandirian dan keterlibatan belajar. Learning outcomes and engagement in the Power Transmission System subject at vocational schools remain low, so more contextual and interactive approaches are required. This study investigates the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Quick Response (QR) Code on students’ achievement in class XI Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh. A three-cycle Classroom Action Research design was implemented with 30 students. Data on learning outcomes and participation were collected through tests and observations and analysed descriptively. The average score increased from 43.83 in the pre-test to 78.40 in the post-test of cycle III, while class mastery rose from 6.67% to 76.67%. These results indicate that QR-Code-supported PBL effectively enhances conceptual understanding and problem-solving in automotive transmission systems. The findings imply that integrating PBL with QR Code is a promising technology-enhanced strategy for strengthening autonomy and engagement in vocational education.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Dasar-Dasar Otomotif pada elemen K3LH di SMK masih menunjukkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar yang rendah, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang lebih partisipatif dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model Case Based Learning (CBL). Penelitian menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi pada 28 siswa kelas X TSM 2 SMKN 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Data keaktifan dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, sedangkan hasil belajar diukur dengan tes formatif dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil menunjukkan keaktifan klasikal meningkat dari 53,85% pada Siklus I menjadi 66,57% pada Siklus II, sedangkan ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 25% pra-tindakan menjadi 78,57% pada Siklus II dan melampaui KKM. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa CBL efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan penguasaan konsep K3LH pada pembelajaran vokasi otomotif. Student engagement and learning outcomes in the Basic Automotive Engineering subject, particularly the occupational health, safety, and environmental (K3LH) element, were still low at SMKN 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This study investigated whether the Case Based Learning (CBL) model could improve these outcomes. A two-cycle classroom action research design was implemented with 28 Grade X Light Vehicle Engineering students through the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Student engagement was measured using observation sheets, while cognitive achievement was assessed through formative tests and analysed with descriptive statistics. The results show that class-wide engagement increased from 53.85% in Cycle I to 66.57% in Cycle II, whereas mastery learning rose from 25% at pre-test to 78.57% in Cycle II, exceeding the minimum standard. These findings demonstrate that CBL effectively enhances student participation and conceptual understanding of K3LH in vocational automotive education.

Abstract

Research on virtual laboratories has shown significant growth but is still scattered across disciplines and approaches. This condition indicates the need for systematic mapping in the context of vocational education to understand the development and direction of current research. This study aims to analyze international publications related to virtual laboratories in vocational education, covering research trends, highest citations, leading countries, and relevant publication sources. A quantitative approach with bibliometric analysis was used on 163 of the Scopus database from 2010 - 2024. Data were collected using the keywords "virtual laboratory" and "vocational education." Data analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer to visualize the research findings. The results showed that the publication trend fluctuated annually but tended to increase. Journal of Physics: Conference Series, publication of Potkonjak, and Spain were identified as the most influential countries. Co-occurrence analysis revealed major clusters such as e-learning, engineering education, virtual laboratories, and students. Overlay visualization shows a shift in focus from distance learning to a more interactive and contextual technology-based pedagogical approach in vocational education. These findings provide implications for research collaboration, pedagogical integration, and the development of immersive virtual laboratories in vocational education.

Abstract

Aliran gas buang pada kendaraan memiliki potensi untuk kemudian dimanfaatkan kembali menjadi sumber energy baru pada kendaraan. Potensi energy ini dapat berupa pemanfaatan panas (thermal), tekanan (pressure) dan kecepatan aliran gas buang. Pada artikel ini khusus membahas dimana posisi konsentrasi pressure, velocity dan temperature gas buang yang terjadi. Data ini kemudian dapat dijadikan acuan dalam merancang dan menentukan jenis dan tipe mekanisme pemanen energy gas buang pada kendaraan. Input variable penelitian ini Temperature gas buang yang akan memasuki exhaust manifold diatur 15000K, tekanan gas buang yang memasuki exhaust manifold diatur 2 bar atau 200000 Pa, inlet mass flow 0.01kg/s, inlet volume flow 0.001m3/s, inlet velocity 3.143m/s, Berdasarkan hasil simulasi yang dilakukan dari segi aspek velocity aliran tertinggi dapat kita manfaatkan pada posisi pengukuran pada titik ukur 3, untuk temperature tertinggi dapat kita lihat pada titik ukur 2. Pada aspek pressure aliran gas buang dapat kita lihat terletak pada posisi pengukuran 4. Data simulasi diatas dapat dijadikan rujukan peneliti selanjutknya dalam menrancang mekanisme pemanfaatan aliran gas buang pada kendaraan baik itu yang berorientasi thermat (temperature), aliran (pressure dan velocity).
