Abstract

The main aim of the present study is to explore the direct and indirect influence of Work-life Balance and Digitalization on Employee Performance with the mediating role of Organizational Commitment in the Indonesia employment scenario. This quantitative study involved a total of 60 employees. The hypothesis was tested by structural equation modeling (SEM) within the Smart-PLS program. The output showed that Work-life balance doesn't have a big impact on commitment to the company. (t-value: 1.316). Digitalization has a positive and substantial effect on Organizational Commitment (t-value: 5.107). Moreover, the direct effects of both Work-life Balance (t: 0.793) and Digitalization (t: 1.696) on Employee Performance are insignificant. On the other hand, the Organizational Commitment contributes considerably in improving directly the Performance (t-value: 2.471). The data support the mediation study for Work-life Balance and Performance, where Organizational Commitment does not mediate the connection (t: 0.971). However, it is a very important mediator in the relationship between Digitalization and Employee Performance (t-value: 2.073).

Abstract

This research examines how family support and self-efficacy influence the entrepreneurial aspirations of housewives in Depok City, where access to training is a mediating variable. Employing quantitative explanatory survey methodology with Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS, stratified random sampling within five sub-districts was employed with 100 respondents. Results indicate that family support significantly influences training access (β = 0.339, p < 0.01), while self-efficacy significantly affects both training access (β = 0.510, p < 0.01) and entrepreneurial interest (β = 0.390, p < 0.01). The strongest predictor of entrepreneurial interest was training access (β = 0.486, p < 0.01). Family support has no direct impact on entrepreneurial interest, but it is fully mediated through training access (β = 0.164, p < 0.05). Self-efficacy partially mediates through training access (β = 0.248, p < 0.01). This model accounts for 34.4% and 55.9% of variance in entrepreneurial interest and training access respectively. The following findings emphasize that self-efficacy and training access are significant determinants of entrepreneurial interest, whereas family support works through some indirect mechanism. Policy considerations highlight the demand for flexible and accessible training and self-efficacy development programs aimed at housewives in the urban Indonesian context.

Abstract

This research seeks to scrutinize how TikTok influencers’ perceived credibility and authenticity shape consumers’ inclination to make a purchase of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) students toward endorsed products. The expanding use of influencer marketing on social media, particularly on TikTok, highlights the need to provide a clearer account of how influencer characteristics affect consumer behavior. Employing a quantitative research design, this study uses a survey method with respondents consisting of UNJ students who actively use TikTok and follow at least one influencer. To test the proposed research model, the data were processed using the analytical framework was operationalized using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) within the SmartPLS platform. These findings suggest that purchase intention toward influencer-promoted products is influenced by a more complex decision-making process, where influencer credibility and authenticity may operate indirectly or in conjunction with other factors rather than as direct predictors. This study deepens the theoretical grounding of influencer marketing research by emphasizing the complex and contextual role of influencer characteristics in influencing consumer behavior on TikTok. Future research is recommended to incorporate mediating or moderating variables to better explain the mechanisms underlying purchase intention in social media contexts.

Abstract

This study takes State Civil Servants (ASN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia as its research subjects and aims to verify the impact of workplace counseling on ASN’s job performance, as well as the mediating role of work engagement. It adopts a quantitative explanatory research design, using 50 ASN who participated in the 2025 Counseling Week program as the study sample. Data was collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling tool available in SmartPLS software. The β values and p-values of all four tested effects all met the required standards, confirming that work engagement functions as a partial mediating variable. Based on these results, this study recommends that all types of institutions institutionalize workplace counseling programs and integrate them into their civil service capacity development strategies.

Abstract

This study analyzes how the turnover intention among Generation Z workers was affected by their stress and their level of job satisfaction. A purposive sampling technique was used to obtain the data, and the data were gathered from 107 respondents using online questionnaires. The data analysis method used the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) model from SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that Gen-Z employees’ work stress has a significant and negative effect on the level of their job satisfaction, so does the job satisfaction on their turnover intention. Work stress also plays a significant part on turnover intention by positively affecting it, while job satisfaction mediates this relationship.

Abstract

The determinants for continuance intention to use generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) for self-directed learning activities are explored. The research incorporates the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), adding privacy concern and perceived risk of AI hallucination as factors that hinder adoption, and attitude toward using GenAI as a mediator. The study employed a quantitative method by using an online survey that was sent to respondents who were postgraduate students and employees of government institutions involved in using GenAI for self-directed learning. The 100 valid responses were analyzed with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method by using the software SmartPLS 4. The results show that attitude towards the GenAI use has a significant positive impact on continuance intention, and Privacy concern has a significant negative impact on continuance intention. The perceived risk of AI hallucination, however, has no significant impact on attitude and continuance intention. Furthermore, the results suggest that the relationship between privacy concern and continuance intention is not mediated by attitude, and the same applies for the relationship between AI hallucination risk and continuance intention. These findings indicate that the issue of data privacy outweighs technical errors or inaccuracies in the GenAI system in determining continued use for self-directed learning. The study highlights the importance of strengthening privacy protection policies and improving AI literacy to support sustainable GenAI usage in educational contexts.

Abstract

By evaluating the mediating variable of financial behavior, this research investigates how financial literacy, self-control, and the usage of "Buy Now Pay Later" (BNPL) services affect financial decision-making among Generation Z. In this quantitative study, 163 members of Generation Z from the Jabodetabek region were surveyed to gauge their level of familiarity with or usage of BNPL services. An online questionnaire was used to gather data, which was then analyzed using PLS-SEM using SmartPLS 4. According to the study's findings, BNPL and financial literacy significantly impact people's ability to make sound financial decisions. Contrarily, there is little direct correlation between self-control and financial behavior and financial decision-making. In contrast to BNPL, the results show that financial knowledge and self-control considerably promote good financial conduct. Importantly, the study shows that financial behavior is not a moderating variable between financial decision-making and financial literacy, self-control, or BNPL use. Rather than being influenced by their everyday financial behavior routines, this study emphasizes that in the digital age, Generation Z's financial literacy and the use of digital credit facilities like BNPL are the primary drivers of their ultimate financial choices.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of psychological comfort and aesthetic value on purchase decision in dental clinic services, with price perception serving as a mediating variable. We used quantitative explanatory research design and data analysis with Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that psychological comfort and aesthetic value have positive and significant effects on both price perception and purchase decision. Furthermore, price perception positively influences purchase decision and partially mediates the relationships between psychological comfort, aesthetic value, and purchase decision. The structural model demonstrates substantial explanatory power in predicting patients’ decisions to utilize dental clinic services. The findings reveal that psychological comfort is the most influential factor affecting purchase decision, exceeding the influence of aesthetic value. These results highlight the importance of creating a comfortable emotional environment, reducing patient anxiety, and enhancing the perceived aesthetic benefits of dental services. The study provides practical implications for dental clinic managers in developing patient-centered service strategies that strengthen perceived value and encourage service utilization.
