Abstract

In the education curriculum in Indonesia, physical education is a medium for developing the potential of student learning outcomes in a comprehensive (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) and sustainable manner. However, at the same time, teachers have not maximized analytical thinking supplements in learning and mastering student movements to optimize their physical education learning outcomes. This research used quantitative methods to examine the effect of analytical thinking skills on student learning outcomes. The participants were 24 elementary school students (mean age = 10.17+0.38) who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data on thinking skills were collected using instruments and rubrics for assessing analytical thinking skills. While the learning outcomes data use the final value of physical education learning. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis. Descriptive analysis showed that students' analytical thinking skills were moderate (58.34%), and learning outcomes were good (100%). There is a significant influence between analytical thinking skills on student learning outcomes (t = 2.312, α = 0.031) with a determination value of 19.6%. Considering the essence of analytical thinking skills for learning outcomes and supporting students' life skills, the orientation of physical education learning outcomes parameters and the comprehensive and sustainable integration of analytical thinking into students' physical activities must be discussed further.

Abstract

Computational thinking (CT) has gained attention in various levels of education, particularly in higher education. The importance of CT competency in problem-solving has led to the conclusion that CT needs to be developed through the learning process. Therefore, prospective teachers become the main target for enhancing CT competencies. The aim of this research is to conduct a systematic literature review on efforts to improve CT skills in pre-service teachers. The research method used is a comprehensive search of various databases, specifically Scopus, using the keywords "computational thinking of pre-service teacher" to obtain relevant articles. A total of 15 articles that present empirical results of the use of various applications and specific training methods were selected to address the research question. The research findings indicate that the most widely used applications in higher education to enhance students' problem-solving with computational thinking are Scratch, followed by Python and code.org. This application was chosen because it uses block-based programming, making it easier to use. Improving pre-service teachers' CT skills requires not only providing them with the ability to use the application but also equipping them with training on how to create educational content using the application, which they can later use in their teaching at schools.

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to conduct a systematic literature review of the evaluation of computational thinking skills. The research method utilized was a comprehensive search of various databases through Google Scholar using the keyword "computational thinking" to retrieve relevant articles. A total of 96 articles were selected as research samples and analyzed using content analysis technique to examine the variables of education level and evaluation tools. The study found that the education level variable was categorized into four levels: elementary school (26.17%), junior high school (29.91%), senior high school (19.63%), and college (24.30%). Meanwhile, the evaluation tool variable was divided into four categories, which include traditional (22.73%), portfolio (33.33%), interview (15.91%), and survey (28.03%).

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the need for digital learning materials, focusing on the analysis of chemistry pre-service teachers' needs regarding digital chemistry learning materials integrated with fiqh al biah and sustainability issues. The study employed a qualitative research design, utilizing a case study approach with early semester students enrolled in basic chemistry courses as the research subjects. Research instruments used in this study included interview protocols, questionnaires, observation guidelines, and recording devices. The research findings indicated that (a) students perceived the existing learning resources as insufficient in raising environmental awareness; (b) students expected learning materials that could help them engagingly overcome misconceptions, featuring visually appealing elements, such as videos, animations, and colorful visuals, to enhance motivation in learning; (c) misconceptions were identified among early semester students; (d) the lack of submicroscopic visualization in traditional learning materials contributed to misconceptions, which could be addressed through three-dimensional digital learning materials; (e) students faced challenges in learning chemistry due to the abundance of formulas, symbols, and memorization requirements; (f) students expressed a need for additional class sessions to adequately cover the subject matter; and (g) visual learning dominated among early semester students in the field of chemistry education. Based on the research findings, the recommendation was to develop engaging and interactive digital learning materials.

Abstract

Tinjauan literatur nyajikan perkembangan penelitian dalam bidang konseling konstruksi karier dari tahun 2015 hingga 2022. Selama periode ini, penelitian dalam konseling konstruksi karier telah mengalami variasi dalam jumlah publikasi, dengan peningkatan jumlah publikasi pada tahun 2016 dan 2021. Seluruh artikel mengungkapkan bahwa permasalahan yang diangkat adalah mengkonstruksi rencana karier individu berdasarkan pemaknaan atas cerita hidup. Melalui pemaknaan cerita hidup, konselor dapat menggali kisah dan alasan individu memilih profesi konselor karier yang berkontribusi dalam dunia. Penelitian ini memperkuat pemahaman tentang beragam pendekatan dan teknik yang dapat digunakan dalam konseling konstruksi karier, serta pentingnya pemahaman identitas dan pembuatan makna dalam pengembangan karier individu. Pentingnya relevansi CCI dalam berbagai kelompok usia dan adaptasi teknologi dalam proses konseling karier. Dalam keseluruhan, perkembangan penelitian dalam konseling konstruksi karier selama periode ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pemahaman identitas dan pembuatan makna dalam pengembangan karier individu, serta beragamnya pendekatan dan teknik yang dapat digunakan oleh konselor untuk membantu individu mencapai tujuan karier.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan guna mengeksplorasi minat dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan Pembelajaran IPA, serta untuk menentukan beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap minat dan motivasi belajar tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang memakai metode survei. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa semester 5 program studi Pendidikan IPA, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, dengan total 57 mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA. Instrumen penelitian yang dipergunakan berupa angket minat dan motivasi belajar terhadap perkuliahan Pembelajaran IPA, menggunakan pernyataan sebanyak 40 nomor. Pernyataan pada angket terdiri atas 2 variabel, yajni minat dan motivasi belajar, dengan 9 aspek didalamnya. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa minat dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Pembelajaran IPA berada dalam kategori “cukup baik” untuk setiap aspek. Dengan hasil seperti ini, diperlukan usaha guna menaikkan minat dan motivasi belajar. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan diantaranya menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dalam perkuliahan dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze various studies related to group guidance services and the improvement of social skills of elementary school students. This study used the systematic literature review method with a qualitative approach. This study used bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer software by reviewing research sourced from DOAJ and Google Scholar. The results of the analysis from VOSviewer showed that the issues and trends of group guidance services research had been carried out by researchers in various fields of guidance and counseling and carried out at various levels of education. The findings of various studies showed that group guidance services were seen as having a positive impact on improving the social skills of elementary school students. In the implementation of group guidance services, the role of the leader (counselor) must be active in encouraging the involvement of group members both in group dynamics and in social interactions. The process in this group guidance service will encourage students to achieve the expected goals and also be a means of improving their social skills. This research can be a reference in the implementation of basic group guidance services in improving students' social skills, especially in elementary schools. Guidance and counseling teachers/counselors and teachers in elementary schools can implement group guidance services to improve social skills.

Abstract

Self-compassion is an individual's effort to open up, connect with pain, and treat oneself well, even under challenging circumstances. Various studies continue to develop regarding self-compassion, but the limitation of the instrument, specifically for adolescents' age, becomes the study's concern. This study aims to develop the Instrumen Self-Compassion Usia Remaja (ISCIRA) using the RASCH measurement model. Participants in this study were 243 high school students aged 14-17 years. The results of the Instrumen Self-Compassion Usia Remaja (ISCIRA) have a reliability value in the excellent category and an item reliability value of 0.98 in the particular category. The validity of the 54 items in the Instrumen Self-Compassion Usia Remaja (ISCIRA)was tested, and the results obtained were 44 statement items suitable for measuring adolescent self-compassion.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the career well-being of school counselors in Indonesia. This study was conducted quantitatively using a quantitative descriptive analysis. The population of this study was all school counselors in Indonesia. The selection of population was made by the researchers because there is no standard Career well-being Scale in the Indonesian context. The sample consisted of 1,000 school counselors throughout Indonesia, selected using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected using the Career Well-Being Scale based on Coetzee’s theory. The study began with the development of the Career Well-Being Scale, followed by the distribution of the scale through Google Form, data collection, and data analysis. Data analysis was performed using percentage statistical formula. The results showed that the difference in career well-being of school counselors had a Sig value of 0.00. Obtaining a Sig value < 0.05 indicates that there is a significant difference in the career well-being of school counselors with four different educational qualifications. Educational qualifications influence the career well-being of Indonesian school counselors. School counselors with a master’s degree and a PPG certification have higher career well-being than school counselors with a bachelor’s degree

Abstract

In this study, discusses the implementation of multicultural counseling through Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila and Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil Alamin (P5 PPRA) implemented at the Al Murabby Integrated Islamic Boarding School MAN 1 Kota Bandung. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach that aims to qualitatively examine the implementation pattern of multicultural counseling at MAN 1 Kota Bandung. In Profil Pelajar, several dimensions and values show that Profil Pelajar does not only focus on cognitive abilities but also attitudes and behaviors following who we are as Indonesians and citizens of the world: (1) believing, fearing God, and having a noble character; (2) global diversity; (3) cooperation; (4) independent; (5) critical reasoning, and (6) creative. Values of religious moderation include; civilization, exemplary, citizenship and nationality, taking the middle way, balancing, straight and firm, equality, deliberation, tolerance, dynamic, and innovation.
