Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education management in madrasas, from aspects of planning, organizing, implementing, to controlling/supervising. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive study method. The informants in the study included the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa, the teacher council, the madrasa administration section and students. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and document studies. Then, it is analyzed by sorting the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of character education management in madrasas has been carried out well in madrasas. This is a joint effort of the madrasa leadership in collaboration with the teacher council, homeroom teacher, guidance and counseling teachers in monitoring the development of student character. The concrete forms of implementation, namely (1) planning aspects, are implemented through the internalization of character values in the learning curriculum that refers to the vision, mission, and goals of the madrasa; (2) the organizing aspect, in the form of division of tasks and the provision of SK from the madrasa leadership to teachers and extracurricular trainers according to the development of students' interests and talents; (3) implementation aspects, in the form of learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom based on the integration of character values, as well as extracurricular activities in the form of developing the potential of students based on the madrasa climate with character and displaying the features of the teacher's role model for students; and (4) aspects of control/supervision, cooperation between internal and external parties of the madrasa (surrounding community) in monitoring the development of student character, both in class and outside the classroom.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peran guru dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan sangat besar terhadap pencapaian kualitas pendidikan dikarenakan gurulah yang berhadapan secara langsung dengan peserta didik. Pencapaian keberhasilan pendidikan di sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh kinerja guru. Seorang guru diharuskan mempunyai keahlian dalam merencanakan dan mengelola program pembelajaran sehingga peserta didik dapat belajar secara maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Pengaruh yang signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru MAN se-kota Medan, 2) Pengaruh yang signifikan dari supervisi kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru MAN se-kota Medan dan 3) Pengaruh yang signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan dan supervisi kepala madrasah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru MAN se-kota Medan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis explanatory research dan pendekatan ex post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru MAN se-kota Medan yang berjumlah 365 orang dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 55 orang. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru MAN se-kota Medan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05, 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari supervisi kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru MAN se-kota Medan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,049 < 0,05, 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan dan supervisi kepala madrasah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru MAN se-kota Medan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05. Kata Kunci: Kinerja, Gaya Kepemimpinan, Supervisi   ABSTRACT The role of the teacher in the implementation of education is very large in achieving the quality of education because it is the teacher who deals directly with students. The achievement of educational success in schools is largely determined by the teacher's performance. A teacher is required to have expertise in planning and managing learning programs so that students can learn optimally. This study aims to determine 1) the significant effect of the principal's leadership style on the performance of MAN teachers in Medan city, 2) the significant effect of the supervision of the madrasa head on the performance of MAN teachers in Medan city and 3) the significant effect of the leadership style and supervision of the madrasa head together on the performance of MAN teachers in the city of Medan. This research method uses quantitative research with explanatory research and an ex post facto approach. The population in this study were all MAN teachers in the city of Medan, totaling 365 people and the research sample was 55 people. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple regression analysis. The results showed that 1) There was a significant influence of the leadership style of the madrasah principal on the performance of MAN teachers in Medan city with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, 2) There was a significant influence of the supervision of the madrasah head on the performance of MAN teachers in Medan city with a significance value of 0.049 < 0.05, 3) There is a significant influence of the leadership style and supervision of the madrasa head together on the performance of MAN teachers throughout Medan with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan metode ceramah plus dan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching) terhadap gaya belajar siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel kelas X SMAS YPK Medan T.A 2021/2022. Penelitian dengan populasi berjumlah 79 siswa, sedangkan sampelnya berjumlah 22 siswa masing-masing kelas MIPA 1 dan MIPA 2. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes 5 soal essay untuk pre-test dan post-test dan angket untuk gaya belajar siswa. Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan: 1) tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar visual antara metode ceramah plus dan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching), dengan f hitung=0,183<4,75. 2) tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial antara metode ceramah plus dan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching), dengan f hitung =1,217<4,75. 3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik antara metode ceramah plus dan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching), dengan f hitung=4,848>4,75. 4) tidak terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, dengan f hitung =3,102<4,75. Simpulan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik lebih baik diajarkan dengan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching) daripada dengan metode ceramah plus. ABSTRACK                      peer tutoring method on student learning styles on the material of a three-variable system of linear equations in class X SMAS YPK Medan T.A 2021/2022. This research with a population totaling 79 students, while the sample is 22 students each MIPA class 1 and MIPA 2 class. The research instrument used is a test of 5 essay questions for pre-test and post-test and questionnaire for student learning styles. These findings indicate: 1) there is no difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes with visual learning styles between the lecture plus method and the peer teaching method, with =0.183<4.75. 2) there is no difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes with auditory learning styles between the lecture plus method and the peer teaching method, with =1,217<4.75. 3) there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes with kinesthetic learning styles between the lecture plus method and the peer teaching method, with =4.848>4.75. 4) there is no interaction between learning methods and student learning styles on students' mathematics learning outcomes, with =3.102<4.75. The conclusion of this study explains that students' mathematics learning outcomes with kinesthetic learning styles are better taught by the peer tutoring method than the lecture plus method.

Abstract

Pembelajaran e-learning materi program linear,kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XI MAN Pematangsiantar pada pembelajaran e-learning materi program linear dan solusi menghadapi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XI MAN Pematangsiantar pada pembelajaran e-learning materi program linear. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran matematika dan siswa kelas XI MAN Pematangsiantar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik penjamin keabsahan data menggunakan teknik kredibilitas, transferbilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas.Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan ialah pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika melalui pembelajaran e-learning sudah dilakukan sebagaimana mestinya, yaitu dimulai dari pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan penutup, Kesulitan belajar siswa pada meteri program linear adalah kesulitan memahami konsep, prinsip dan operasi, dan solusi mengatasi kesulitan belajar menurut guru yaitu memberikan soal dan kuis kepada siswa agar siswa lebih terampil dan berusaha untuk memahami materi dan melakukan remedial, sedangkan solusi mengatasi kesulitan belajar menurut siswa yaitu bertanya kepada guru, kepada teman yang lebih paham dan mencari sumber referensi dari buku, internet dan juga youtube. ABSTRACK                    This study aims to determine the implementation of student learning at MAN Pematangsiantar in e-learning learning linear programming materials, learning difficulties for class XI students at MAN Pematangsiantar in e-learning learning linear programming materials and solutions to face learning difficulties for class XI students. MAN Pematangsiantar on e-learning linear programming material. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were mathematics teachers and students of class XI MAN Pematangsiantar. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The technique of guaranteeing the validity of the data uses the techniques of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results obtained are the implementation of mathematics learning through e-learning has been carried out properly, starting from the introduction, core activities and closing, Students' learning difficulties in linear programming are difficulties in understanding concepts, principles and operations and The solution to overcome learning difficulties according to the teacher is to give questions and quizzes to students so that students are more skilled and try to understand the material and do remedial, while the solution to overcome learning difficulties according to students is asking to the teacher, asking to friends who understand better and looking for source reference from the book, internet and youtube also.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem pengelompokan siswa dan pembinaan kedisiplinan di MA Taruna Teknik Al-Jabbar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap rekrutmen, MA Taruna Teknik Al-Jabbar menerapkan beberapa cara untuk menarik calon siswa, seperti sosialisasi melalui seminar, kunjungan ke sekolah, dan penyebaran informasi melalui media sosial. Proses seleksi dilakukan melalui seleksi administrasi, tes akademik, tes fisik dan mental, serta wawancara dengan orang tua dan calon siswa. Sistem pengelompokan siswa di MA Taruna Teknik Al-Jabbar didasarkan pada prestasi akademik, kemampuan teknis, karakter siswa, dan sikap disiplin. Namun, sistem ini menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan siswa, dinamika kelompok yang sulit diprediksi, dan kesulitan dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara standar disiplin dan kebutuhan individu. Pembinaan kedisiplinan di MA Taruna Teknik Al-Jabbar dilakukan melalui berbagai program, yaitu program semi-militer, pembinaan karakter, program keagamaan, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, Character Building Camp, dan Leadership Training Camp. Semua program ini bertujuan untuk membentuk kedisiplinan yang melibatkan aspek fisik, mental, dan pengembangan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang penerapan sistem pengelompokan siswa dan pembinaan kedisiplinan yang dapat diterapkan di lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the bullying behavior of boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabung, the implementation of group guidance services in overcoming bullying behavior of boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan, the obstacles in implementing group counseling services in overcoming bullying behavior at boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Connections and ways to solve obstacles. This study uses a qualitative research type, with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of the study, namely, the bullying behavior of boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan for now is still verbal actions such as backbiting, slandering, gossiping and ostracizing friends, this behavior usually occurs continuously, the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan Teacher BK in SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan has carried out group guidance service activities in accordance with the needs of students who are in dormitories and those who are not in hostels as well with the theme one of which is bullying behavior which must be above fellow students such as: setting an example of good friends, setting an example so that students can control themselves, the obstacles experienced when carrying out group guidance and how to overcome these obstacles, lack of time when carrying out services and students' non-openness when conveying the problems they experience, how to overcome these obstacles is to try to talk alone with the student so he doesn't feel afraid when conveying the problems experienced by students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas sistem manajemen kinerja staf tata usaha dalam pencapaian mutu layanan administrasi di madrasah aliyah negeri persiapan 4 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penilitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwaHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan ketatausahaan di MANP 4 Medan melibatkan perumusan tugas dan fungsi layanan administrasi, penetapan tujuan, evaluasi pekerjaan, pengalokasian dana, pengadaan sarana dan prasarana, serta pemecahan masalah. Pelaksanaan ketatausahaan dilakukan dengan baik mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengelolaan, hingga pengawasan. Kegiatan ketatausahaan meliputi administrasi kepegawaian, keuangan, data dan informasi, sarana dan prasarana, serta persuratan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah berfungsinya sistem manajemen ketatausahaan, peningkatan mutu pelayanan administrasi sekolah, serta terjalinnya kerja sama antara pengelola, pendidik dan peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the social media-based marketing strategies implemented by MTS Al-Washliyah Km 6 Medan in building a positive image of the institution amidst the increasingly competitive educational institution rivalry. In the digital era, social media has become a strategic means of conveying information, fostering communication, and strengthening the branding of Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving social media managers, school principals, and related stakeholders. The results indicate that utilizing platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp with educational content, promotional activities of the school, as well as testimonials from students and alumni. This strategy is effective in increasing the visibility of schools and shaping a positive perception of the quality of education and Islamic values in the community. This study fills a gap in the literature by examining how Islamic values are integrated into social media marketing for madrassas, a topic that has been less explored in existing research. The findings emphasize that social media marketing can be an important instrument in building a positive image of schools if implemented consistently, communicatively, and in accordance with the characteristics of the audience.

Abstract

In rural educational institutions, various obstacles impede the acquisition of the English language. The difficulties experienced in learning English within these rural schools are intricately linked to the environmental conditions surrounding the students, the proficiency of the English instructor, and the overall educational atmosphere. This research examined the obstacles encountered by students engaged in English language studies in rural educational settings. Two English educators who participated in this qualitative research served as respondents. The results of this investigation indicate that the pursuit of English language proficiency in rural schools continues to encounter a multitude of challenges. The process of learning English proved to be arduous for several reasons, including the students' diminished motivation towards the subject and the insufficient external support, such as encouragement from both parents and the broader community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Kebijakan Pemisahan Kelas Berbasis Gender Dalam Upaya Pembinaan Akhlak Siswa di SMP Swasta IT Bina Insan Batang Kuis”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kebijakan pemisahan kelas berbasis gender dalam upaya pembinaan akhlak siswa di SMP Swasta IT Bina Insan Batang Kuis. Pemisahan kelas antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dilakukan sebagai bentuk strategi pendidikan akhlak dan karakter yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Islam dan untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif serta mengurangi interaksi yang dapat memicu perilaku menyimpang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan naturalistic inquiry. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa SMP Swasta IT Bina Insan Batang Kuis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dari Miles dan Hubarman dilakukan melalui tahapan mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Dan untuk menjamin keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pemisahan kelas berbasis gender di SMP Swasta IT Bina Insan Batang Kuis dilatarbelakangi oleh nilai-nilai ajaran agama Islam, serta kondisi psikologis remaja pada masa pubertas yang rentan terhadap pergaulan bebas. Kebijakan ini diterapkan sejak tahun 2017 dan didukung penuh oleh pihak yayasan, kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua siswa. Pembinaan akhlak melalui kebijakan ini dilakukan dengan meminimalisir interaksi lawan jenis, mengajarkan adab bergaul sesuai syariat Islam, serta didukung oleh berbagai program keagamaan seperti apel pagi, sholat berjamaah, pembinaan wali kelas, mabit, puasa Senin-Kamis, dan tilawah, yang semuanya dilaksanakan secara terpisah antara siswa putra dan putri. Guru juga berperan aktif sebagai teladan dan pembiasaan perilaku baik. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan tantangan terkait kedisiplinan dan sopan santun siswa, serta adanya pelanggaran interaksi lawan jenis. Persepsi siswa terhadap kebijakan ini sangat positif, mereka merasa lebih nyaman, fokus dalam belajar, dan terbantu dalam menjaga adab pergaulan sesuai nilai-nilai Islam. Siswa juga mengakui bahwa kebijakan ini efektif mengurangi perilaku negatif seperti pacaran, meskipun tantangan dalam pengelolaan kelas putra masih ada. Maka disimpulkan bahwa kebijakan pemisahan kelas berbasis gender di SMP Swasta IT Bina Insan Batang Kuis merupakan langkah strategis, kebijakan ini dinilai efektif dalam membantu pembinaan akhlak siswa, terutama dalam menjaga adab pergaulan sesuai syariat Islam dan mengurangi perilaku negative siswa.
