Abstract

The handling of human hair waste is still not optimal, as it is often discarded or burned, leading to environmental pollution. This research aims to utilize human hair waste as a mixture in normal concrete, resulting in a fiber-reinforced concrete product with marketable value, providing a more beneficial use compared to simply being disposed of or burned. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mechanical properties of concrete using human hair fibers. The mechanical properties to be analyzed include compressive strength, tensile splitting strength, and flexural strength. This research is based on laboratory experiments. The variations in the amount of fiber used in the study are 0.25%, 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% of the cement weight in the concrete mix. Based on the results of mechanical property testing, it can be concluded that the optimal addition of 1% human hair fibers yielded a compressive strength of 22.86 MPa, tensile splitting strength of 2.69 MPa, and flexural strength of 4.13 MPa.

Abstract

Indonesia’s mining sector, particularly in areas like Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, faces significant geotechnical challenges due to its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire. One of the key concerns in open-pit mining operations is slope instability, which can lead to landslides, threaten worker safety, damage infrastructure, and disrupt production. This study evaluates the slope stability in the Sambalagi site of PT. Wosindo Berkat Abadi using the Morgenstern-Price method, a limit equilibrium approach known for its accuracy in heterogeneous slope conditions. Field data were collected, including slope geometry, geological conditions, material strength, and hydrogeological factors. The safety factor (FK) was calculated based on geotechnical parameters such as cohesion, internal friction angle, and unit weight of the slope materials primarily saprolite and limonite. The actual slope FK value at PIT D was found to be 0.974, below the standard requirement (≥1.3) set by the Ministerial Decree No. 1827K/30/MEM/2018. To improve stability, a revised slope design was proposed, including reducing slope angles to 35°, increasing bench widths to 2 meters, and decreasing slope height per bench to 4 meters. The simulation of this revised geometry showed that it could achieve the required FK value. The study contributes to safer and more efficient mine planning by demonstrating the importance of integrating detailed geotechnical analysis in slope design, especially in tropical high-rainfall mining regions.

Abstract

Akuisisi perusahaan merupakan salah satu instrumen strategis dalam dunia bisnis modern yang kerap digunakan untuk memperluas pasar, memperkuat modal, dan meningkatkan daya saing korporasi. Dalam praktiknya, akuisisi memerlukan proses legal due diligence (LDD) sebagai bentuk pemeriksaan menyeluruh terhadap kondisi hukum perusahaan target, mulai dari kepemilikan aset, perizinan, kontrak, hingga potensi sengketa. Hasil dari proses ini kemudian dituangkan dalam legal opinion sebagai pendapat hukum profesional yang berfungsi menyajikan temuan hukum, memberikan rekomendasi strategis, sekaligus melindungi pihak pengakuisisi dari potensi risiko hukum. Legal opinion tidak hanya berperan dalam pengambilan keputusan bisnis, tetapi juga memiliki kedudukan doktrinal dalam sistem hukum Indonesia sebagai salah satu bentuk doktrin hukum yang dapat dijadikan rujukan. Di sisi lain, advokat atau konsultan hukum yang menyusunnya memikul tanggung jawab profesional, etis, dan hukum, khususnya terkait akurasi analisis, objektivitas, kerahasiaan, serta rekomendasi yang diberikan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menekankan urgensi legal opinion dalam due diligence pada akuisisi perusahaan serta pentingnya tanggung jawab advokat dalam menjaga integritas dan validitas pendapat hukum yang disusun.

Abstract

This article discusses the politics of Islamic law of Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (Prosperity and Justice Party, PKS) 1998–2004 by analyzing the formulation of Law No. 38/ 1999 on Zakat Management, and Law No. 23/2011 on Zakat Management. It shows that there has been a shifting ideological expression in the evolution of the PKS that began to appear when this party morphed from Partai Keadilan (Justice Party) to PKS in 2002 because it had failed to pass the parliamentary threshold for the 1999 election, and had a practical political agenda for obtaining an increase of electoral votes. The ideological shift, among others, is shown through the process of the formulation of the Zakat Management Law which was influenced by several motives, among others ideological and practical political interests. PKS’s politics on Islamic law show that if its ideological interests contradict with its practical political interests, then the party opts for practical political interests.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v19i3.357

Abstract

This article tries to explore how the influence of Islamic law politics in drafting Law No. 44 of 2008 on Pornography. A qualitative approach was employed in this study. The treatise of Indonesia’s Pornography Law was collected as the primary data. The findings expose that there was the effect of Islamic law politics in drafting Law No. 44 of 2008 on Pornography. It can be noticed from the active involvement of Islamic political parties in parliament and the House of Representatives (DPR) members from the nationalist parties possessing an Islamic background in promoting the law enactment. Likewise, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and Islamic mass organizations also actively encouraged the issuance of this law. Another result highlights that there was a strong debate between political fractions in the DPR, including the Gerindra Party (PG), the United Development Party (PPP), the Democratic Party (PD), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Democratic Vanguard Star (BPD), the Star Reform Party (PBR), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and the mass organizations that proposed the ratification of the Pornography Law draft, and other fractions, namely: the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the Prosperous Peace Party (PDS), and the mass organizations that supported the refusal of the law draft ratification.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji pertanggungjawaban pidana pelaku politik uang dalam pemilihan umum berdasarkan Pasal 523 Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017. Politik uang dipandang sebagai pelanggaran serius yang merusak integritas demokrasi dan mengabaikan prinsip pemilu yang luber serta jurdil. Tujuan kajian meliputi analisis unsur-unsur tindak pidana politik uang sesuai Pasal 523, bentuk pertanggungjawaban pidana, dan hambatan dalam penegakan hukum. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah penelitian yuridis normatif dengan analisis perundang-undangan dan konsep hukum. Data dihimpun melalui studi kepustakaan atas peraturan, literatur, dan putusan pengadilan terkait. Hasil kajian menunjukkan Pasal 523 memuat sanksi pidana bagi pihak yang dengan sengaja memberi atau menjanjikan uang maupun materi lainnya kepada pemilih demi memengaruhi pilihan, baik pada masa kampanye, masa tenang, maupun hari pemungutan suara. Pemidanaan dapat dikenakan jika terpenuhi unsur kesengajaan, pemberian atau janji, serta tujuan memengaruhi pilihan pemilih. Penegakan hukum terkendala minimnya bukti, rendahnya kesadaran hukum, dan intervensi politik. Penelitian merekomendasikan peningkatan pengawasan, edukasi politik, dan koordinasi antar-lembaga guna mengurangi praktik politik uang dalam proses pemilu. Kata Kunci: Pertanggungjawaban Pidana, Politik Uang, Pemilihan Umum, Penegakan Hukum   Abstract This study examines the criminal liability of perpetrators of money politics in general elections based on Article 523 of Law Number 7 of 2017. Money politics is considered a serious violation that undermines the integrity of democracy and disregards the principles of free, fair, and honest elections. The objectives of the study include analyzing the elements of political money crimes under Article 523, forms of criminal liability, and obstacles in law enforcement. The approach used is normative legal research with analysis of legislation and legal concepts. Data was collected through a literature review of regulations, literature, and court decisions related to the topic. The study results show that Article 523 imposes criminal sanctions on parties who intentionally give or promise money or other material benefits to voters to influence their choices, whether during the campaign period, the quiet period, or on election day. Criminal penalties may be imposed if the elements of intent, giving or promising, and the purpose of influencing voters' choices are met. Law enforcement is hampered by a lack of evidence, low legal awareness, and political interference. The study recommends increased oversight, political education, and inter-agency coordination to reduce money politics in the electoral process. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of lease agreements for regional assets between the Kediri District Government and the Regional Bank of Kediri District (PD BPR). The research method employed is socio-legal jurisprudence with descriptive analysis. Primary data includes Civil Code, Agrarian Law, and regulations, supplemented by secondary data from books, journals, and other documents. Data were collected through interviews and document studies. The findings indicate that lease agreements are conducted annually between the Kediri District Government and PD BPR Kediri District. The lease period is one year, with agreed-upon prices updated annually. The Kediri District Government proposes annual rent increases, which are negotiated and incorporated into the lease agreement. Land management is leased for public interest and regional revenue. The Kediri District Government grants the right to use land and buildings for a specific period without ownership rights. Lease agreements are renewed annually to determine rental prices. Ownership rights for school building construction remain with the Kediri District Government, with PD BPR Kediri District acting solely as a lessee.

Abstract

The Role of the Teacher in Growing Student Learning Motivation in Social Studies Subjects Class V at UPT SD Negeri 31 Gresik. (Supervised by Ismail Marzuki, M.Pd and Iqnatia Alfiansyah, M.Pd). This study aims to find out how the role of the teacher and the teacher's constraints in fostering student learning motivation in social studies class V at UPT SD Negeri 31 Gresik. The type of research used is qualitative research. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation of research subjects so as to provide a clear picture of the teacher's role and the teacher's constraints in fostering student motivation in social studies class V at UPT SD Negeri 31 Gresik. The results of the study show that the teacher's role in fostering student learning motivation is the teacher as evaluator, the teacher gives gifts, gives additional value, praise. The teacher as class manager, the teacher pays attention to the concentration of students by going around and rolling student seats. The teacher as a facilitator and mediator, the teacher provides the facilities that have been provided by the school and for media the teacher prepares media from home according to the material to be taught. The teacher as a demonstrator, the teacher provides a method that is adapted to the learning material to be taught and the teacher also uses language that is easily understood by students. The teacher's constraints are due to external factors such as the environment and family as well as internal factors such as student interest in learning and the level of understanding of each student is different.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the functions of representative speech used by users of the social media application Facebook. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method, and data is collected through documentation techniques from the social media platform Facebook. The data analyzed in this study includes words, sentences, and paragraphs posted by Facebook users. The results of this study reveal that representative speech has four functions: (1) to state the hopes, principles, aspirations, and beliefs of the speaker, (2) to inform readers or interlocutors about information, events, concepts, and knowledge, (3) to suggest that interlocutors believe, do, or follow something that the speaker has experienced, and (4) to complain about what the speaker is feeling, thinking, or doing and hoping to receive comments, approval, and feedback from interlocutors. This research is relevant to the study of language acts and representative speech on the Facebook social media platform.
