Abstract

The development of education in Indonesia presents various models of educational institutions that differ in their management patterns and quality achievements. This study aims to analyze descriptively the education management model in state schools and Integrated Islamic Schools (IT) in Lubuklinggau City, and to examine its implications for the quality of education. The approach used is qualitative descriptive through literature study methods and analysis of related education policies. The results of the study indicate that state schools adopt more centralized administrative management models that prioritize national standards, while IT schools develop management models based on Islamic values with a participatory approach and integrative curriculum. The differences in management models have an impact on quality aspects, such as academic achievement, character building, learning innovation, and stakeholder involvement. This study provides recommendations for the need for synergy of adaptive, contextual, and value-based management models in order to improve the quality of education in both types of schools.

However, there are obstacles in the form of a digital divide, changes in direct interaction patterns, and limited infrastructure. By utilizing digital technology to integrate social-emotional elements in PKn learning, this study produces an integrative learning model with five main components: (1) digital readiness assessment, (2) technology-assisted collaborative learning, and (3) technology-assisted collaborative learning. learning, (3) digital social reflection, (4) digital citizenship simulation, and (5) social project-based evaluation. The implications of this research provide a theoretical and practical basis for the development of digital citizenship.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive research aims to understand the challenges of the education management system in primary schools and the strategies implemented to address them. The study focuses on five public primary schools in Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra, involving school principals, teachers, school committees, and education supervisors as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. Data analysis employed Miles' interactive model (1994), which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal several main challenges: centralized leadership by school principals, low involvement of school committees and parents, inconsistent government policies, and limited resources and infrastructure. Nevertheless, the research also identified several strategies implemented by schools to address these issues, including strengthening transformational leadership, revitalizing the role of school committees, adapting policies through a local approach, and gradually using technology. It is recommended that primary school education management emphasize participatory approaches, inclusive leadership enhancement, empowerment of school committees and parents, and the development of more consistent and contextual education policies.
