Abstract

The global education era has undergone a transformation in which educators and policymakers are increasingly emphasising the need for creative and independent thinkers in the 21st century. Therefore, the Implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in elementary schools emerges as a key strategy to foster creativity among learners. The study in this research uses the literature research method. The results showed that; First, Merdeka Belajar Curriculum contributes to the development of student creativity by providing opportunities to engage in independent learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving activities. Second, this curriculum also encourages students to explore their interests and passions, which in turn stimulates their creative thinking process. Therefore, teachers should facilitate this learning environment by providing guidance, support and resources that enable students to take charge of their learning journey. Third, every time the curriculum changes, new challenges arise, such as the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. Such challenges include the need for teacher training in innovative teaching strategies, the need for sufficient resources, and overcoming traditional educational practices that may hinder the adoption of more progressive approaches.

Abstract

Inclusive education is an approach to learning that provides inclusion to all learners, regardless of their achievements, disabilities or backgrounds, in the same environment. It involves adjusting the curriculum, teaching methods and additional support to ensure that every student has a fair and equal opportunity to receive a quality education. The research method used in this study is literature review. The results show that first, an inclusive classroom environment requires teachers to implement learning approaches that can effectively meet the individual needs of each student. Through an initial evaluation of learners' abilities and needs, teachers can design an adaptive curriculum tailored to their limitations. Secondly, teachers also need to implement student excellence-based learning strategies, such as multisensory, modeling and tiered assignments. The success of these strategies relies heavily on collaboration between teachers, parents, and various experts such as educational psychologists and therapists. Open and continuous communication between all parties is essential to ensure the strategies implemented remain appropriate and effective. Thus, the implementation of appropriate strategies and strong cooperation can provide equal opportunities for learners with disabilities to succeed in their learning.

Abstract

Inclusive education has always been understood as an approach to learning about the differences and diversity of learners, providing equal opportunities for everyone to engage in the same learning process. The study in this research uses the literature search method. The findings of the investigation suggest that inclusive learning environments have a significant positive impact on students' social skills development. Among inclusive environments, students tend to show improvement in their ability to follow each other, cooperate and respect diversity. This not only helps in the formation of learners' individual character and values but also enhances their ability to adapt among diverse social situations. In addition, students' learning is positively influenced by an environment that supports the diversity of individual learning styles, enabling them to reach their full academic potential. This study recommends further integration of inclusive education principles in the primary school curriculum, including continuous teacher training and development of supportive resources, as a strategic step in strengthening socialization and learning processes. The implications are expected to help establish an educational ecosystem that is not only inclusive but also enriches students' learning experiences, encouraging them to become holistic, empathetic individuals who are ready to face global challenges.

Abstract

Islamic education today has to enrich its graduates not only with religious knowledge and comprehension of doctrines, but also equip them for the twenty first century society. The development of the integrated curriculum addresses this problem as it merges several disciplines while relating religious education to real-life situations. A literature study approach was employed in examining the issue under consideration. The findings indicate that an integrated curriculum approach can enhance active and constructive engagement of learners in the teachings of Islam which can create a relevant education that meets the expectations of contemporary society. However, the integration of an interdiciplinary curriculum does not bear fruits easily as there are some barriers such as lack of willingness to embrace change, scarcity of funds and the proper evaluation of students rated. Therefore, some strategies to overcome these challenges include effective training programmes, investment in resource development and improved coordination among stakeholders.

Abstract

Character education refers to an approach to learning that aims to help students develop moral and ethical values, such as honesty, responsibility and empathy. The integration of these values in the curriculum and school activities along with the active support of teachers, families and communities are the main efforts for character education to build individuals who are highly ethical and responsible in every aspect of their lives. In this study, the literature research method was used. From the results, it is evident that teachers who have undergone specialised training in character education play an important role as living examples of these values. In addition, a safe and supportive school environment greatly contributes to the ethical formation of students. Another opinion states that the active participation of parents and the community also strengthens the implementation of moral values in schools through their daily behaviour. This finding proves the synergy relationship between the collaborative participation of the main institutions, namely school, family and the wider community, can empower students with strong character, have good morals and be perfectly responsible.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the application of traditional medicine as a complement to medical treatment, focusing on its benefits, constraints and powerful integration strategies. Indigenous medicine has long been applied in various cultures to manage health and disease, and is increasingly accepted as a complement to contemporary medical treatment in the pursuit of whole health care. The research method included a literature review. The results showed that traditional medicine can have significant benefits in alleviating certain symptoms, improving patients' quality of life, and offering a more personalized approach that is in line with individual cultural values. Patients who combine traditional medicine with medical treatment often report improved inner and outer well-being. However, this study also found several barriers, including differences in scientific methods and validation, inadequate regulation, and a lack of formal training for traditional medicine practitioners. These barriers often stand in the way of effective and safe integration.

Abstract

Disparities in access to technology and the gap to education are critical issues that span communities around the world, especially among low-income groups and in remote areas. The research method used was a literature review. The results show that limited access to technology in education results in low academic achievement and students' lack of readiness to face work demands in the digital era. Furthermore, students from low-income families and remote areas are most affected, with a greater likelihood of falling behind in digital literacy and independent learning skills.

Abstract

Actualising village potential through MSME education and promotion is an effort to realise and develop the resources and capabilities of a village, with a focus on empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This process involves learning activities (education) to improve the knowledge and skills of MSME actors, as well as marketing strategies (promotion) to introduce and market the products or services of village MSMEs to a wider market. The goal is to increase local economic capacity, encourage product innovation, expand market reach, and ultimately improve the welfare of village communities through sustainable MSME development. The research method in this study is literature. The results show that structured and sustainable education, including training in business management, product innovation, and digital marketing, is crucial in improving the competitiveness of village MSMEs. Meanwhile, an integrated promotion strategy, utilising both online and offline platforms, has proven effective in expanding the market and increasing the visibility of village products. The research conclusions emphasise the importance of synergy between education and promotion in actualising village potential. This integrated approach not only enhances local economic capacity but also promotes sustainable village development. The implications of this research provide a foundation for the development of policies and programmes aimed at empowering rural economies through strengthening MSMEs.
