Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in regional economic growth because they are the largest absorbers of labor and a significant contributor to GDP. However, many MSME actors are still constrained by the lack of knowledge in business planning and management. In Ujung Padang and Bosar Maligas Districts, the potential of MSMEs is quite high in the culinary, trade, and handicraft sectors. The observation results show that most MSMEs are still operating traditionally without a clear business plan, thus hindering business development, access to financing, and competitiveness. To answer these problems, the service team held a "Business Planning Training for MSME Actors" to improve understanding and skills in preparing an applicable business plan. This training is expected to be able to encourage the development of MSME businesses in a more targeted and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study investigates the monetary transmission mechanisms influencing inflation and exchange rates across seven Southeast Asian countries (Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) over the period 2010–2023, with special focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research addresses the problem of macroeconomic instability, particularly the volatility in inflation and currency values during crisis periods, and aims to identify the dominant monetary factors affecting these indicators. The study employs a mixed quantitative approach using Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR), Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL), and Paired Sample t-Test to analyze the short-term and long-term relationships among key variables: Gross Domestic Product (GDP), investment, money supply (M2), interest rates, inflation, and exchange rates. Findings reveal that GDP is the most influential factor impacting both inflation and exchange rates, followed by money supply and interest rates. The variance decomposition analysis confirms that these monetary variables significantly explain macroeconomic fluctuations in both pre- and post-pandemic contexts. The t-Test further indicates statistically significant changes in inflation and exchange rates before and after the pandemic, highlighting the disruptive effect of COVID-19 on economic stability. The results demonstrate that inflation declined significantly in most countries during the pandemic, while exchange rate behavior varied depending on economic resilience and policy responsiveness. The study concludes that maintaining macroeconomic stability requires not only monetary policy coordination but also effective public health crisis management. This research contributes to the regional policy discourse by offering empirical insights and evidence-based recommendations to strengthen economic resilience in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price perception, shipping costs, and marketing content on purchase decisions, with trust serving as a moderating variable among Shopee marketplace users in Medan City. The rapid growth of e-commerce platforms has intensified competition, making it essential for online marketplaces to understand consumer behavior, particularly the factors that shape purchasing decisions. A quantitative method was applied using purposive sampling, involving respondents who have made purchases on Shopee. Data were obtained through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression combined with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to examine both direct and moderating effects. The findings reveal that price perception significantly influences purchase decisions, indicating that consumers evaluate fairness, attractiveness, and value before making online purchases. Shipping costs also have a significant positive effect, demonstrating that affordable or subsidized delivery fees encourage higher purchase intention. Marketing content, including product descriptions, visuals, and digital promotions, likewise significantly affects purchasing decisions by enhancing consumer engagement and information clarity. However, trust does not moderate the relationship between these independent variables and purchase decisions, suggesting that the influence of price, shipping costs, and marketing content remains consistent regardless of trust levels. These results highlight the importance for e-commerce platforms to optimize pricing strategies, reduce delivery fees, and strengthen marketing content to drive consumer decisions.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate a consumer behavior model by evaluating the impact of interactive technology-driven digital innovation and perceived value on digital engagement, with customer behavior serving as a mediating variable within the retail sector in Jambi Province. A quantitative research design utilized a survey method with 150 retail consumers as participants. We used Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to look at both the measurement and structural models. The findings of the measurement model show that all indicators match the requirements for convergent validity. The outer loading values are all over 0.70, which means that the construct is reliable and valid. The evaluation of the structural model indicates that perceived value exerts a positive and significant influence on both consumer behavior and digital engagement. Also, how people act as consumers has a big effect on how they contact with and participate in digital media. This means that people who think retail services are more valuable are more likely to interact with and participate in digital media. Nevertheless, interactive technology-driven digital innovation does not exhibit a substantial direct impact on customer behavior or digital engagement. These findings suggest that value perception is more influential than technology innovation in determining consumer responses inside digital retail environments. This research enhances the body of knowledge regarding consumer behavior and digital marketing by highlighting the strategic significance of perceived value in augmenting consumer involvement within digital retail contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of product, price, and promotion on consumer purchase decisions. In an increasingly competitive market, companies must be able to offer products with superior value supported by appropriate pricing strategies and effective promotional efforts to influence consumer decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach, using a structured questionnaire distributed to consumers as respondents. Data analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression to determine the extent to which each independent variable affects purchase decisions. The results reveal that the product variable has a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions, indicating that product quality, features, and suitability with consumer needs strongly shape consumers’ choices. The price variable also significantly influences purchase decisions, suggesting that reasonable pricing aligned with product benefits and consumer purchasing power is a critical factor. Additionally, promotion shows a significant effect on purchase decisions, as clear, attractive, and well-targeted promotional activities can increase consumer interest. These findings highlight the importance of managing product quality, pricing, and promotional strategies simultaneously to improve consumer purchase decisions and strengthen market competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines how perceived price fairness and consumer social experience affect customer engagement and repurchase intention among street coffee consumers in Indonesia. Using a quantitative explanatory approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on data from 400 respondents, the research identifies a dual-value dynamic between economic fairness and social experience in shaping consumer loyalty. The findings show that price fairness does not significantly influence engagement but directly increases repurchase intention, indicating that transparent pricing builds rational trust and behavioral loyalty. In contrast, consumer social experience strongly enhances both engagement and repurchase intention, confirming that emotional connection and social belonging are the main drivers of repeat behavior. Customer engagement also significantly predicts repurchase intention and mediates the relationship between social experience and loyalty, while its mediating effect between price fairness and loyalty is insignificant. These results demonstrate that engagement functions as a psychological bridge between social interaction and behavioral commitment. The study contributes to understanding consumer loyalty in informal markets and suggests that entrepreneurs should combine fair pricing with interactive, community-based experiences to strengthen customer trust and long-term loyalty.
