Abstract

This study aims to analyze parenting patterns of gifted and talented children through a Systematic Literature Review approach. Gifted children have above-average intelligence (IQ > 130) which requires special parenting so that their potential can develop optimally. This research highlights the challenges faced by parents, including the unsynchronized cognitive, social and emotional development of gifted children, and how social, cultural and economic contexts influence parenting approaches. The results of the literature review indicate that authoritative parenting is the most effective parenting style for gifted children, combining high demands with strong emotional support. Research also found that cultural differences, such as collectivist orientation in Asia and individualism in the West, influence parenting patterns. On the other hand, limited economic resources are a significant challenge in the care of gifted children, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study identifies a gap in the literature in Indonesia related to parenting gifted children, although many similar studies have been conducted in developed countries. By analyzing 23 international studies, this research provides new insights into parenting of parents of gifted children in the Indonesian context. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of the theory and practice of parenting gifted children, as well as assist parents, educators and policy makers in supporting the optimal development of gifted children.

Abstract

Childcare, more popularly called DayCare (DC), must be adequately packaged to create an ideal learning environment and meet care needs as long as the children are not with their parents. This study aims to analyze the standard management of facilities and infrastructure in daycare to be used as a reference in managing a quality daycare. A single case design qualitative approach (single unit holistic analysis) was used as the research method. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with the head of a professional daycare center. The results are then analyzed thematically through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding with the help of NVivo 12.0 software. The study's results through observations and interviews found that the management of facilities and infrastructure had been carried out properly, such as planning needs, procurement, inventory, storage, maintenance, use and removal, and structuring of land, buildings, school equipment, and furniture. However, the research findings show a need for a management information system to monitor all student activities. Then if you want to create a quality childcare center, CCTV in every corner of the room must be equipped to see all the children's activities. This research implies that it provides interesting information and needs attention for all DCs.

Abstract

Nature-based education planning in natural schools in Lampung Province has given rise to a new approach in integrating natural values, natural elements and local wisdom in the curriculum. This research is motivated by the complexity of educational needs and the call of the times that demand changes in the concept of education. This research uses a qualitative approach with case studies as the main method. The case study method provides an in-depth description of the implementation of the planning strategy, while qualitative analysis is used to gain an in-depth understanding of its impact. The research results show that developing a nature-based curriculum involves an in-depth process in designing a special curriculum that reflects natural values, integrates natural elements, and involves education experts and community leaders. Training for educators through regular workshops and mentoring by fitrah experts has a positive impact on increasing understanding of the concept of fitrah and the quality of learning. The integration of local values creates a learning environment rich in Lampung cultural wisdom. Facilities and learning environments that support direct interaction with nature create learning spaces that allow students to be actively involved. Parental and community participation is realized through routine programs and partnership forums, strengthening their involvement in shaping children's character. Holistic periodic evaluation involving all stakeholders creates the basis for comprehensive monitoring of student development. Collaboration with local governments and educational institutions opens up opportunities for financial support and exchange of experiences, strengthening the concept of natural schools based on nature. Despite facing limited resources and potential resistance, this research shows that nature-based educational planning in natural schools in Lampung Province has great potential to create a responsive and holistic educational environment.
