Abstract

This research aims to find out the symbols of slavery in the Qur'an, the semiotic perspective of Roland Barthes and its relation to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This study uses qualitative descriptive methods and approaches with the analysis of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory that a symbol is a sign that is surrounded by other signs so that it becomes clearer. There are two stages: the first stage is called the linguistic system, and the second stage is called the mythical system. Myth, in Barthes' view, is assumed to be a system of markers built on three things signifier, signified and sign. The results of the study show that the symbol of Abdun and Amah as human beings who have rights and obligations, the symbol of Raqabah is a valuable item that must be paid, in the sense that it must be liberated or liberated and the symbol of Ma Malakat Ayman as a halal biological channel, a companion who is allowed to marry, and a human being who has rights. As for the relationship with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the two have the same spirit to abolish and eliminate slavery on the face of the earth.

Abstract

Learning is a complex process that involves a person physically and mentally throughout his life. The learning process occurs because of the interaction between a person and his environment. Therefore, learning can occur anytime and anywhere. One sign that a person is said to have experienced a learning process is a change in behavior in that person which includes changes in the level of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The interactions that occur during the learning process are influenced by the environment, which includes students, teachers, librarians, principals, learning materials (books, modules, magazines, video or audio recordings, etc.) and various learning resources and facilities (overhead projectors, radio, television, computers, libraries, etc.). In the teaching and learning process, the presence of media has a fairly important meaning. Because in these activities, the ambiguity of the material presented can be helped by presenting media as an intermediary. Although the initial goal of learning is good, if it is not supported by the right media, this good goal is very difficult to achieve properly. A media in learning will affect whether information is complete and on target or not, and affect the final results of the learning process. However, even so, there are still many educational institutions that are less concerned with the existence of media. It is proven that there are many cases of educators who do not use media in accordance with the material being taught, so that in learning Islamic religious education, students have many difficulties in absorbing and understanding the lessons delivered, Educators have difficulty delivering lesson materials, many students feel bored with Islamic religious education lessons. This can be identified as a problem of lack of understanding of educators in the application of media in the learning process.

PAI teacher strategies in fostering religious values are in the form of doing religious activities, such as istighasah, dhuha prayer, reading prayers before and after studying, and reading the quran. Supporting factors for the strategy of fostering religious values in madrasas are the increasing interest of students in the religious field, cooperation between teachers, and well-functioning madrasa regulations.

Abstract

This research explore the representation of feminine masculinity in Peaky Blinders seasons 1-3 that portrays Polly Gray by exploring the characteristics she portrays and how her behavior conflicts or supports patriarchal power dynamics within the Shelby family and society. The study takes a qualitative descriptive approach and interprets selected critical dialogues, interactions and visual scenes. The theory of female masculinity by Halberstam (1998) is the primary theory to explain the social performance of masculinity by women, whereas the theory of hegemonic masculinity by Connell (2005) is the auxiliary theory of interpreting the negotiation of power in the structures dominated by men. The results indicate that Polly is assertive, decisive, strategic, and commands the team, and at the same time, she continues to be a woman. Her conflicts with Tommy, family and business management and her decisive steps, including getting rid of Campbell, demonstrate that feminine masculinity can be a socially intelligible and transformative power. The paper points out that the patriarchal hierarchies can be negotiated and women agency can be both performative and legitimate in cultural texts. Such findings have a role to play in the academic field of gender and media as they can help in the discussion of how female characters are able to exercise power in male-dominated situations as well as provide a more in depth examination of how gender is performed and represented in television fiction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of an academic visit conducted by the Scientific Consortium of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung to the strengthening of knowledge integration, institutional development, and academic collaboration at UIN Alauddin Makassar. Key concepts employed in this study include knowledge integration, higher education benchmarking, epistemic networking, and Islamic higher education governance. This research adopts a qualitative case study approach, utilizing field observations, focus group discussions, limited interviews, and institutional document analysis. The scope of the study covers the Faculty of Ushuluddin, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The findings reveal that knowledge integration at UIN Alauddin Makassar has moved beyond conceptual formulation toward institutionalization, as reflected in integrative curricula, research governance, laboratory development, and value-based professional education. Academic visits function as an effective mechanism for institutional learning and epistemic reflection, fostering the consolidation of integrative paradigms and strategic institutional development within Islamic higher education. Key challenges include limitations in research infrastructure, disparities in human resource capacity, and the rigidity of national accreditation and professional standards. This study recommends strengthening inter-institutional research collaboration, developing sustainable benchmarking models, and deepening governance-based knowledge integration. This study contributes empirically to the literature on knowledge integration in Islamic higher education by demonstrating how integrative paradigms are operationalized through institutional policies, academic practices, and benchmarking-based collaboration.
