Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the conceptual feasibility and procedural feasibility of the e-LKPD developed. This study uses the Lee & Owens development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The products developed will be validated by material experts and media experts, then assessed by chemistry teachers who are then tested in small groups. The data analysis techniques used in this development are qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of this study, namely the e-LKPD that was developed, obtained a total score of 4.47 with the category of "very decent" based on the assessment of material experts, obtained a total score of 4.11 with the category of "feasible" based on the assessment of media experts, obtained a total score of 4.8 with the category of "very feasible" based on the teacher's assessment and obtained an average score of 92.85% with the category of "very good" based on the assessment of students and obtained an average score of 91.14% with the category of "very good" based on the assessment of practicing critical thinking skills. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that problem-based e-LKPD to train critical thinking skills on hydrocarbon materials developed is suitable for use as teaching materials in schools.

Abstract

This study examines the design and symbolism of the Kalung Sebalik Sumpah belonging to the Suku Anak Dalam through an ethnomathematical approach, specifically using geometry and combinatorics. The necklace features visual patterns that reflect mathematical structures such as symmetry, repetition, rotation, and transformation, while also carrying deep symbolic meanings within the indigenous belief system. Geometric analysis reveals that the motifs of the necklace incorporate fundamental shapes such as circles and triangles, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also represent social and spiritual values. A combinatorial approach is employed to explore the variations in the arrangement of elements such as beads and knots, organized based on principles of permutation, combination, and repeated patterns. The purpose of this research is to explore the ethnomathematical elements embedded in the design and symbolism of the Kalung Sebalik Sumpah using geometric and combinatorial perspectives. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing triangulation techniques to analyze data from observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings demonstrate that the Kalung Sebalik Sumpah is not merely an ornament, but a cultural artifact embedded with complex mathematical systems. This approach enriches the understanding of local cultural values, fosters collaboration between the exact sciences and anthropology, and contributes to.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the ethnochemistry approach in chemistry learning through the integration of betel chewing culture in functional group material using a scientific approach. The betel chewing culture involving materials such as betel leaves (Piper betle), areca nut (Areca catechu), and betel lime (calcium hydroxide) is known to contain various active chemical compounds, including alkaloids, phenols, esters, and alcohols. The scientific approach allows students to observe, ask, try, reason, and communicate the results of the analysis of these materials, so that they can understand the concept of functional groups in the context of local culture. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach and participatory observation of the practice of betel chewing culture in the community. The results of the study show that the integration of local culture in chemistry learning can improve students' conceptual understanding, learning interest, and cultural awareness. The ethnochemistry approach has proven effective in creating contextual, meaningful, and relevant learning to students' daily lives. Therefore, the application of a local culture-based learning model through a scientific approach is recommended as an innovative alternative in chemistry learning. Abstract

This research aims to reveal the results of clustering high school quality using fuzzy c-means in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. This research is quantitative and descriptive. Data collection was conducted through documentation. The research data are secondary data from the 2023 high school education report card. The sample consisted of 51 schools, which were determined using the proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the quantitative descriptive method and fuzzy c-means. The results of the study are clustering on the main indicator data producing three clusters: cluster 1 consists of 11 private schools accredited A and B, cluster 2 consists of 22 public and private schools accredited A, and cluster 3 consists of 18 schools accredited A, B, and C. Cluster 2 excels with the overall best performance, cluster 1 has moderate performance with several areas needing improvement, such as instructional leadership, the use of information technology for budget management, and inclusiveness, and cluster 3 shows the lowest performance, requiring significant attention and improvement in almost all aspects, especially literacy, numeracy, instructional leadership, and the use of information technology for budget management. Cluster 3, which had the lowest performance, showed an urgent need for improvement in almost all aspects.

Abstract

This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model. The research instruments used are interview sheets and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data. This study aims to determine the development process, feasibility according to experts and media, assessments of chemistry educators and responses and student interest in contextual-based e-modules on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials to improve student learning interest that was developed. The results of this study are that contextual-based e-modules on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials to improve student learning interest received expert feasibility results of 92% (very feasible), media experts of 90% (very feasible), educator assessments of 90% (very feasible), small group trials of 84.8% (very good), and student learning interest of 90.6% (very good). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that contextual-based e-modules on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials to improve student learning interest that were developed are feasible to be used as teaching materials in chemistry learning.

Abstract

Education is one of the benchmarks of a nation's progress. A nation can be said to be advanced, one of which is if education within the nation is advanced. Along with the development of globalization and science and technology, education continues to progress in accordance with the times. In the context of education, the main goal is to produce individuals who not only possess knowledge, but also strong critical thinking skills. Chemistry education in high school often faces challenges in conveying abstract materials such as colloids to students during learning activities. This study aims to develop an e-module for colloid material based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to help students understand abstract materials such as colloids. This has been proven through several previous studies that developed e-modules on several other abstract materials and proved effective. Therefore, this e-module has the potential to help students understand colloid material.

Abstract

Research aims to empower parents to create a strong learning environment right in their own homes. By understanding how we learn, educators and parents can develop effective teaching strategies and boost the overall quality of education. In a nutshell, learning theories are crucial for understanding how children process information and how parents can make learning more effective. Parents can utilize various strategies and techniques, drawing from both general learning theories and specific family learning theories, to improve the quality of their children's learning and academic outcomes within the family setting. This study used a qualitative approach, focusing on school-aged children. It delved into real-life events and phenomena using a descriptive qualitative method, primarily through a literature review of theories in learning and family education. The findings show that learning is a relatively permanent change in behavior or potential behavior, stemming from reinforced experience or practice. Essentially, if someone has truly learned something, they'll be able to demonstrate a change in their behavior

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian psikotropika dan bahan alami terhadap perilaku mencit jantan dalam uji Forced Swim Test (FST). Variabel yang diamati adalah durasi swimming dan floating sebagai indikator dari efek antiansietas. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2025 di Laboratorium Farmakologi dan Toksikologi, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, dengan menggunakan 12 ekor mencit yang dibagi dalam enam kelompok perlakuan: NaCMC 0,5% (kontrol), Estazolam 1 mg, Alprazolam 1 mg, Doxylamine succinate , zolpidem 10 mg, dan ekstrak Psidium guajava5%. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji One-Way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey HSD. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik terhadap durasi swimming (p = 0,882) dan floating (p = 0,102), meskipun terdapat kecenderungan peningkatan aktivitas pada kelompok Psidium guajava5% dan penurunan perilaku pasif pada kelompok Estazolam 1 mg. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa beberapa perlakuan memiliki potensi antiansietas yang memerlukan kajian lanjutan dengan jumlah sampel yang lebih besar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan terapi alternatif berbasis psikotropika alami yang lebih aman dan terjangkau.

Abstract

Epilepsi merupakan gangguan neurologis kronis yang ditandai oleh kejang berulang akibat aktivitas neuronal berlebih. Meskipun obat antiepilepsi sintetis seperti pregabalin, gabapentin, diazepam, dan fenitoin banyak digunakan, efek samping jangka panjang mendorong pencarian alternatif alami yang lebih aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas antikonvulsan dari obat sintetis dan ekstrak herbal Centella asiatica (pegagan) menggunakan model kejang akibat striknin pada mencit jantan. Substansi uji diberikan secara oral selama tiga hari, diikuti injeksi striknin intraperitoneal. Parameter yang diamati adalah waktu onset kejang dan waktu hingga kematian (deadtime). Hasil menunjukkan semua perlakuan memiliki efek antikonvulsan dengan variasi efektivitas. Phenytoin menunjukkan waktu onset terlama (rata-rata 1560 detik), sedangkan diazepam memberikan onset cepat namun survival terpendek. Centella asiatica menunjukkan keseimbangan antara onset dan deadtime dengan nilai rata-rata 332 detik dan 127 detik secara berurutan. Analisis statistik (p > 0,05) menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok, namun Centella asiatica memiliki rasio onset-deadtime yang optimal. Hasil ini mendukung potensinya sebagai alternatif alami yang menjanjikan untuk terapi epilepsi.

Abstract

Based on discussions and consultations with community partners, utilizing goat milk to create simple and easy-to-produce processed products is essential for enhancing the partners' skills in processing goat milk. The priority is to transform it into a product that holds practical value. The goal of this community service activity is to provide benefits by offering training that improves the partners' knowledge and skills, particularly in processing, packaging, and labeling, allowing the product to have its own packaging and brand. This enables the business group to gain new knowledge and generate income for the partner families. Furthermore, the activity serves as an initiative to form a new business group focused on developing goat milk-based ice cream production. The methods used in this community service activity include demonstration and participatory approaches. Facilitators and technicians directly demonstrated the process of making goat milk ice cream, along with technical guidance on the product packaging process. The results show that the partners have gained the ability to produce ice cream that complies with ASUH standards (safe, healthy, intact, and halal). They have successfully maintained the quality of raw materials and additives, and achieved an optimal balance in the ingredient ratios. The ice cream packaging process has been effective in preventing issues such as leakage or damage during storage and distribution. However, the partners still require further technical guidance on production planning, including determining product types, quantities, production schedules, quality control, equipment needs, team management, and using social media platforms to promote the products. Additional support is needed in pricing strategies, value-added calculations, and setting profit margin targets. In conclusion, the activity demonstrates the potential for product development through proper ingredient formulation and optimal production processes. Recommendations include refining ingredient composition for desired taste and texture, determining appropriate process variables, and developing new ice cream variants to increase market value
