Abstract

This research studies of the influences of gender inequality toward self- actualization in the novel A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. The Objectives of the studies are 1) to describe the type of gender inequality depicted in the Novel A Thousand Splendid Suns and 2) to elaborate the influence of gender inequality toward Self-Actualization in the novel A Thousand Splendid Suns. There are two theories used in this study which are Gender Inequality by Mansour Fakih and Humanistic Psychology by Abraham Maslow. The methodology used by the researcher is qualitative research. This study analyzes data collected from quotes and narratives to find types of gender inequality that can affect a person's self-development, especially in achieving self-actualization. The analysis of this research focuses on the concept of gender inequality and self-actualization. The data collected from the material object of this research provides an overview of the forms of gender inequality that must be experienced by female characters in the novel. Through this research it was found that gender inequality can negatively affect self - actualization achievement. There are some evidences and proofs of type of gender inequality depicted on the novel such as Women Subordination, violence, women stereotyping, and marginalization.

Abstract

The phenomenon of a wasteful lifestyle is often experienced by teenagers who are still in school because the youth group is a potential target so, financial literacy skills are really needed so the students are able to manage their finances personally and make economic decisions with logical reasons. To achieve this, community service activities are carried out using Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Based on the result from the activity, it was found that aout of a total from 103 participants, 16 (15%) participants had wll literate level, 48 (47%) participants had sufficient literate level, 39 (38%) participants had less literate and there is no participants had not literate level. Futhermore, the educational program design at Bank Mini Sekolah at SMKN 3 Muaro Jambi consist of: a savings service program (Magema), financial recording practices, and banking professional work pratices. Through the implementation of the program, not only to improve the financial literacy skills of students and school residents, practical learrning for students, it also instills a good attitude in financial management with a (culture of) fondness for saving.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of learning media in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SD Negeri 35 Kimindores, Southwest Papua. This research uses a qualitative approach to gain an in- depth understanding of the effectiveness of learning media, student responses, and the characteristics of learning media in the context of the Holistic Curriculum. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis related to the learning media used. The results showed that the learning media used at SD Negeri 35 Kimindores in Southwest Papua are diverse, including visual, audio, manipulative, and digital media. Students show high enthusiasm for the use of learning media and find it useful in understanding the concept of IPAS. However, some media are less integrated with the principles of the Holistic Curriculum, such as the lack of focus on developing critical, collaborative and creative thinking skills. This research provides important implications for the development of learning media that are more effective and in accordance with the principles of the Holistic Curriculum.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the components in the learning process that can help teachers convey learning material so that children can have an interest in the learning material presented. This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of the Use of Learning Media in the Holistic Curriculum of IPAS Subjects at Elementary School 33 Waimnir, Southwest Papua. The research method uses a qualitative approach is a research approach that aims to understand the phenomenon in depth and thoroughly. The subject of this research is class IV (four) students totaling 17 people at State Elementary School 33 Waimnir Southwest Papua. The results stated that the right learning media is very important in supporting student learning. The selection of appropriate learning can help students to understand the learning material delivered by the teacher. Learning media can provide concrete experience and as an intermediary that helps students learn. It can be concluded that the use of learning media has a positive impact on the learning progress of SD Negeri 33 Waimnir students in Southwest Papua, including increased understanding of the material, learning motivation, and active involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak Gula dan Kopi merupakan dua dari sembilan kebutuhan penting masyarakat indonesia dan cara takarnya masih menggunakan sistem manual. Mengingat perkembangan zaman yang semakin caggih dibutuhkan alat takar yang lebih mudah dan lebih modern. Tujuan penelitian Merancang alat penakar gula pasir dan bubuk kopi berbasis Arduino agar proses penakaran gula atau kopi lebih efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah Research and Development (R&D) menghasilkan alat penakar menggunakan kaypad sebagai penginput data dan Arduino memprosesnya sehingga di respon oleh motor servo, Sensor Infared dan Loadcell, menguji keefektifan fungsi alat. Hasil pengujian alat penakar gula pasir dan bubuk kopi berbasis Arduino dilakukan dengan menghubungkan adaptor dengan terminal, dimana adaptor menerima aliran listrik sebesar 12 volt 15 ampere, kemudian masuk pada mikrokontroler yang dimana pada penelitian ini menggunakan Arduino uno kemudian disuplay ke keypad, LCD, servo, sensor infared dan loadcell. Kesimpulan alat penakar gula pasir dan bubuk kopi menggunakan sensor infared yang mendeteksi adanya wadah dan motor servo dengan otomatis berhenti jika terisi sesuai yang diinginkan. Kata Kunci: Takaran, Gula, Kopi, Loadcell, Sensor. Abstract Sugar and coffee are two of the nine important needs of the Indonesian people and the dosage method still uses a manual system. Given the increasingly sophisticated times, easier and more modern measuring tools are needed. The purpose of the study is to design a granulated sugar measuring tool and arduino-affective. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). The measuring too uses a keypad as a data input and arduino processes it, so that it is responded by servo motors, infared sensor and loadcells to test the effectiveness of tool functions. The test results of the arduino-based granulated sugar and coffe powder measuring devise were carried out by connecting the adaptor with the terminal, were the adaptor received an electric current of 12 volts 15 ampers. Then granulated sugar and coffee grounds enter the microcontroller. Which in this study uses Arduino Uno. It is supplied to the keypad, LCD, servo, infared sensor and load cell. As the conclusion the granulated sugar and coffee powder measuring device uses an infared sensor that detects the presence of containers and servo motor automatically stop if they are filled as desired. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi bahwa pada kurikulum merdeka, siswa dituntut mempunyai kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi terutama kemampuan berpikir reflektif. Tetapi senyatanya, siswa SD masih memiliki kemampuan berpikir reflektif rendah. Lantas diperlukan suatu strategi yang dapat mempertimbangkan kebutuhan siswa yang disebut pembelajaran berdifferensiasi. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh serta respon siswa pada model PBL melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif materi tumbuhan kelas IV. Penelitian ini mempergunakan jenis penelitian Kuantitatif deskriptif yang memakai rancangan Quasi Experimental Design melalui desain Non-equivalent Multiple Group. Subjek yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN Dukuh Menanggal 1/424 Surabaya yang memakai teknik Nonprobability Sampling dengan cara Purposive Sampling. Dan sampel yang dijadikan subjek ada 2 kelas yaitu kelas IVB menjadi kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas IVC menjadi kelas eksperimen 2. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan tes kemudian dianalisis mempergunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Garis Besar hasil analisis ialah terdapat pengaruh antara pretest dengan posttest dan terdapat suatu perbedaan antara kedua kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini juga memicu respon positif siswa.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low student learning outcomes on growth material and the level of student understanding is still not at the level of reflective thinking. This study aims to explore the effect of Environment-Based Guided Inquiry learning on students' reflective thinking skills on grade V growth material and describe students' reflective thinking responses after the application of the learning model. This research uses descriptive quantitative research methods. The research was conducted at SDN Kepuh Kiriman 1 Waru Sidoarjo with the subject of VA class 27 students and VB class 29 students. Data collection was done through observation, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the environment-based guided inquiry learning model significantly improved students' reflective thinking skills based on 4 categories of reflective thinking scales, namely Habitual Action, Understanding, Reflection, and Critical Reflection. In experimental class 1, the majority of students' reflective thinking is at the Habitual Action level, where students are already at the level of understanding the material. In experimental class 2, the increase in reflective thinking was in the Habitual Action to Critical Reflection category, and the majority was at the Critical Reflection level where students were able to dig deeper information about the material studied and draw conclusions. The average posttest score of experimental class 1 (VA) was higher than experimental class 2 (VB), with N-Gain showing a high category in both classes. Students' response to this learning model was very positive.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di salah satu SD Kota Sidoarjo yang dimana hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa perlu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir reflektif mereka. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan paradigma problem-based learning (PBL) bersama dengan media video berbasis animasi interaktif terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa Kelas V terhadap konten yang saling terkait. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kuantitatif Deskriptif dan menggunakan jenis rancangan Quasi Eksperimental Design. Studi ini, di lakukan pada dua kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran dengan model (PBL) pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang didukung oleh media video interaktif berbasis animasi pada mata pelajaran IPAS mengenai materi rantai makanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis kelas eksperimen 1 nilai t-hitung> t-tabel 19,21 > 2,06, kelas eksperimen 2 nilai t-hitung > t-tabel 19,46 > 2,06, hasil N-Gain kelas eksperimen 1 dengan nilai 0,69 dan kelas eksperimen 2 dengan nilai 0,68. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penerapan model PBL menggunakan media video interaktif berbasis animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif materi rantai makanan di kelas v.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes and reflective thinking skills of 5th-grade students on the topic of Light and Its Properties. Reflective thinking has never been implemented at SD Negeri Tembok Dukuh IV/86 Surabaya. Observations revealed that the science scores in Class VA and Class VB for this topic were still low. This study aims to examine the impact of the Guided Inquiry learning model using PhET Simulation on students' reflective thinking skills and to measure the improvement of these skills after applying the model. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method, with subjects from Class VA (25 students) and Class VB (24 students) in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was done through observations, written tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results show a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes after the implementation of this learning model. Additionally, students demonstrated enhanced reflective thinking skills, particularly in the areas of habitual action, understanding, reflection, and critical reflection. In conclusion, the Guided Inquiry learning model using PhET Simulation is effective in improving students' learning outcomes and reflective thinking skills on the topic of Light and Its Properties. This model also encourages a more interactive, engaging, and relevant learning experience for students.

Abstract

Reflective thinking is important for students, especially during the learning processbecause it is used to support students so that they can more easily understand thematerial and can can be optimally involved. The results of interviews with teachersthat there are still learning difficulties, one example is students who are difficult tocondition and have not implemented student reflective thinking. This study wasconducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of applying the Problem BasedLearning (PBL) model on the reflective thinking ability of grade IV students on thematerial of the form of substances and their changes. This research was conductedat SDN Dr. Sutomo 5 Surabaya. Using Descriptive qualitative methods and datacollection using observation, tests, and questionnaires. Based on the analysis of theaverage value of experimental class 1 is 83.2 and the value of experimental class 2is 81.2. The results of the t test analysis of experimental class 1 obtained pretestand posttest with t count 11.35> t table 2.06 and p-value 0.00 <0.05. Meanwhile, theexperimental class 2 obtained t count 7.53 > t table 2.06 and p-value 0.00 < 0.05.Furthermore, the N-Gain value of experimental class 1 is 0.60 and experimentalclass 2 with an average of 0.54. The results of student responses show thatexperimental class 1 is superior in understanding, while experimental class 2 issuperior in understanding and habitual action. It can be concluded that the problembased learning model has an effect on the reflective thinking skills of fourth gradestudents on the material of the form of substances and their behavior.
