Abstract

This study aims to explore the concept of Ulul Albab in the Qur'an through a thematic interpretation approach (tafsir maudhui) and library research method. The term Ulul Albab represents an ideal human figure in the Qur'anic perspective, characterized by the integration of intellectual clarity, spiritual consciousness, and moral integrity. The study collects and analyzes verses containing the term Ulul Albab, examining them through linguistic, historical, and exegetical perspectives from both classical and contemporary scholars. The findings indicate that Ulul Albab are individuals who actively use their intellect to reflect upon the signs of God, engage in constant remembrance of Him, and apply their knowledge into wise and meaningful actions. This concept remains highly relevant in addressing modern challenges of value disintegration and knowledge fragmentation, offering a holistic model for Islamic education and leadership development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kedudukan ayat muhkam dalam menentukan prinsip pengakuan dan pengukuran transaksi pada Bank Syariah Indonesia. Ayat muhkam, sebagai ayat yang memiliki makna jelas dan tegas dalam Al-Quran, menjadi landasan fundamental dalam penetapan standar akuntansi dan pelaporan keuangan syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka untuk menganalisis bagaimana ayat muhkam diterapkan dalam praktik pengakuan dan pengukuran transaksi perbankan syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ayat muhkam memberikan dasar hukum yang kuat dalam menentukan waktu pengakuan pendapatan, pengukuran aset dan kewajiban, serta perlakuan akuntansi untuk berbagai akad syariah. Penerapan ayat muhkam secara konsisten memastikan transparansi, keadilan, dan kepatuhan syariah dalam pelaporan keuangan bank syariah. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan standar akuntansi syariah yang lebih komprehensif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan industri perbankan syariah di Indonesia.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis, marked by natural resource exploitation, pollution, and ecosystem degradation, calls for a robust ethical and normative framework. In Islamic thought, human beings are regarded as khalīfah fī al-arḍ, entrusted with the responsibility to protect the earth and prohibited from causing fasād (destruction). This article examines environmental conservation from a Qur’anic perspective, focusing on the principle of iṣlāḥ (rectification) and the ethical implications of Q.S. al-A‘rāf (7):56. The verse emphasizes the prohibition of environmental damage after the earth has been set in order and highlights a spiritual balance between fear and hope toward God. The discussion indicates that environmental preservation in Islam extends beyond ecological concerns to encompass moral, social, and spiritual responsibilities rooted in faith. Consequently, environmental stewardship is understood as both a manifestation of divine trust and a form of worship aimed at sustaining life for present and future generations.

Abstract

The phenomenon of super-majority coalitions, coupled with strict factional discipline and the low scientific competence of some legislators, has altered the essence of deliberation. Consequently, there is a risk that the majority will make decisions that disregard public aspirations. This study aims to analyze the impact of suboptimal deliberation and decision-making, examine Qur’anic verses regarding sound decision-making practices, and propose improvements to foster healthy meeting ethics within the people’s representative body. The method used is a qualitative literature review that integrates thematic exegesis to analyze Qur’anic verses in order to assess the actual conditions in the Indonesian parliament. Verses such as Surah Al-Shura verse 38, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 233, and Surah Ali Imran verse 159 were collected and analyzed in depth to identify the fundamental criteria for ideal deliberation. The research results formulated four main criteria. First, the need for standard limits on scholarly competence. Second, the existence of equal rights for all meeting participants. Third, the freedom of expression for every council member to defend the interests of the people. Fourth, the achievement of consensus must be based on mutual consent. The study’s conclusions offer new insights for the development of Islamic Constitutional Law by establishing Qur’anic values as a fundamental guide in restructuring the country’s representative institutions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur’anic ta‘lim in Raudhatul Athfal (RA), examine its contribution to early childhood character formation, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach using a multiple-case study design conducted at three RA in Makassar affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, and Wahdah Islamiyah. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving principals and teachers. Data were analyzed through within-case and cross-case analysis. The findings reveal that Qur’anic ta‘lim has been implemented systematically through the integration of faith, worship, morality, and prophetic stories into daily learning activities. Despite differences in instructional strategies, all three RA share a common orientation toward internalizing Qur’anic values through habituation, teacher role modelling, and Islamic school culture. Qur’anic ta‘limcontributes to the development of religious, social, and moral character, including honesty, responsibility, empathy, discipline, and respect for others. Its implementation is supported by program consistency, integrated learning materials, exemplary teachers, and a conducive school environment. However, limited parental involvement, socio-emotional challenges among children, and the need for more inclusive educational approaches remain obstacles. This study highlights Qur’anic ta‘lim as a pedagogical mechanism for fostering holistic character development in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of taqwa in the Qur'an as a paradigm for life transformation that is relevant to addressing ethical challenges in the digital society. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using library research and thematic interpretation (tafsīr maudhū'ī) of 259 Qur'anic verses related to taqwa. Data were collected from the Qur'an, classical and contemporary tafsir literature, as well as relevant academic sources. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that taqwa is a multidimensional concept consisting of four main dimensions: theological, spiritual, moral, and social. Based on these findings, the study proposes a conceptual model of taqwa comprising five components: divine consciousness, active obedience, self-control, social justice, and moral transformation. This study contributes to the development of thematic Qur'anic interpretation by integrating Sufism and sociology of religion perspectives. Furthermore, the findings demonstrate that the values of taqwa can serve as a foundation for character education and digital ethics in responding to contemporary moral challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji konstruksi pernikahan Qur’ani serta relevansinya dalam menghadapi tantangan era metamodern yang ditandai oleh individualisme, konflik rumah tangga, dan disrupsi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan tafsir maudhu’i (tematik), yaitu menghimpun dan menganalisis ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an yang berkaitan dengan pernikahan secara komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pernikahan dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an bukan sekadar kontrak sosial, melainkan ikatan kokoh (mitsaqan ghalizhan) yang bersifat spiritual-transendental. Tujuan pernikahan mencakup dimensi spiritual-psikologis berupa terwujudnya sakinah, mawaddah, dan rahmah, serta dimensi sosio-biologis berupa penjagaan kehormatan dan keberlangsungan keturunan. Implementasi pernikahan Qur’ani bertumpu pada sintesis tiga prinsip utama, yaitu kesukarelaan (at-taradin), pergaulan yang baik dan bermusyawarah (al-ma’ruf), serta keadilan (al-‘adl). Prinsip-prinsip tersebut dinilai relevan untuk membangun keluarga tangguh yang adaptif terhadap dinamika sosial kontemporer tanpa kehilangan nilai-nilai dasar ajaran Islam.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of maslahah, according to Najmuddin Al-Thufi, as a realization of fintech development in Indonesia. Najmuddin Al-Thufi developed a theory of maslahah that emphasizes flexibility and adaptability to dynamic socio-economic contexts. This study integrates the theory with the development of fintech in Indonesia. This descriptive and qualitative research provides a more comprehensive picture of the concept of maslahah at-Thufi and the phenomenon of fintech in detail and in-depth and using a phenomenological approach. Data sources come from secondary data from books and relevant and reliable journals related to the discussion of Maslahah Najmuddin at-Thufi and fintech. The results showed that applying Najmuddin al-Thufi's maslahah concept to the development of fintech in Indonesia can be implemented for effective regulation and support the growth of fintech in an inclusive, safe, and equitable manner. The maslahah principle, which focuses on the public good, can deal with challenges such as consumer protection, data security, financial inclusion, and business ethics. By applying this principle, regulations can be more adaptive and responsive to technological dynamics, ensuring that the real benefits to society are always prioritized in every regulatory decision.
