Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the relation between self-efficacy and metacognition capability to students mastery of chemical concepts through SiMaYang type II model. The research subjects were 29 students of the 10th-2 class of Upper Secondary School 16th Bandar Lampung. The research used survey research method with research correlation design. The results of this research showed that there were correlation between self efficacy to students mastery of chemical concepts, metacognition capability to students mastery of chemical concepts, as well as self-efficacy and metacognition capability to students mastery of chemical concepts, with r value were 0.635, 0.699, and 0.735,respectively which r value showed that there were positive, strong, and significant correlation between variabels. In addition there was also correlation between self-efficacy to students metacognition capabilitiy with r value of 0.573, its mean there was positive,moderate, and significant correlation between variabels.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendeskripsikan hubungan antara efikasi diri dan kemampuan metakognisi terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa melalui metode pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II. Subjek penelitian yaitu 29 siswa kelas X2 SMA N 16 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian survei dengan desain penelitian korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara efikasi diri terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa, kemampuan metakognisi terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa, serta efikasi diri dan kemampuan metakognisi terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa memiliki nilai r berturut-turut yaitu 0,635, 0,699, dan 0,735, yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif, kuat, dan signifikan antar variabel tersebut. Selain itu juga terdapat hubungan antara efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan metakognisi siswa dengan nilai r sebesar 0,573 yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan positif, sedang, dan signifikan.Kata Kunci : Efikasi-diri, Kemampuan Metakognisi, Penguasaan Konsep

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe scaffolding effect in SiMaYang learning to improve learning motivation and concept mastery. This research used quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Selection of the samples with cluster random sampling. The samples on this research were students of SMAN 10 Bandarlampung which were X MIA 5 as the experimental class and X MIA 4 as control class. Scaffolding strategy effect in SiMaYang learning was determined by t test on n-gain and effect size test on learning motivation and concept mastery between experimental class and control class. The result showed that scaffolding strategy in SiMaYang learning on experiment class was effectively improving learning motivation and concept mastery with large effect with n-gain average on learning motivation and concept mastery with a high category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh stategi scaffolding dalam model pembelajaran SiMaYang untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Penentuan sampel dengan cluster ramdom sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 10 Bandarlampung kelas X MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas MIA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengaruh strategi scaffolding dalam model pembelajaran SiMaYang ini ditentukan berdasarkan uji t pada n-gain dan uji effect size motivasi belajar dan penguasaan konsep antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa strategi scaffolding dalam model pembelajaran SiMaYang pada kelas eksperimen berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan efek besar dengan rata-rata n-gain motivasi belajar dan penguasaan konsep dengan kriteria tinggi.Kata kunci: motivasi belajar, penguasaan konsep, scaffolding, SiMaYang

Abstract

To improve student's learning motivation on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution materials had been conducted a research about the influence of scaffolding strategy in SiMaYang learning. The population of the research was all 10th graders at SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung that consist of six classes and sampling was done randomly by using random cluster sampling technique so that selected experimental class (10th IPA 3) and the control class (10th IPA 4) with pretest-posttest control group design method. The effectof scaffolding strategy was measured by implementation of SiMaYang learning model, implementation of scaffolding, and questionnaire students learning motivationwere used difference of two average test and effect size test. The result showed thatscaffolding strategy inSiMaYang learning has a big effect in improving students learning motivation.Untuk peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit telah dilakukan penelitian pengaruh strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung yang terdiri dari enam kelas dan penentuan sampel dilakukan secara acak dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga terpilih kelas eksperimen (X IPA 3) dan kelas kontrol (X IPA 4) dengan metode pretest-posttest control group design. Pengaruh strategiscaffoldingditentukan berdasarkan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran SiMaYang, keterlaksanaanscaffolding, dan angket motivasi belajar siswa ditentukan dengan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dan uji effect size. Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using SiMaYang model based student worksheet to improve critical thinking skills on electrolyte and nonelectroit solution. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA in SMA Negeri 1 Natar in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used was clauster random sampling and obtained sample of class X MIA 5 as experiment class and X MIA 7 as control class. This research method is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The effect of LKS based on SiMaYang model is measured on the average value of n-Gain critical thinking skills. The results showed that in the experimental class the average value of n-Gain critical thinking skills was 0.71. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that LKS based on SiMaYang model have a high effect in improving critical thinking skills on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja siswa berbasis model SiMaYang dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektroit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA yang ada di SMA Negeri 1 Natar pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah clauster random sampling dan diperoleh sampel kelas X MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIA 7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design.  Pengaruh penggunaan LKS berbasis model SiMaYang diukur berdasarkan rata-rata nilai n-Gain keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai n-Gain keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 0,71. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis model SiMaYang berpengaruh tinggi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Kata Kunci: lembar kerja siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, SiMaYang.

Abstract

This research  was  aimed to describe the effect of sosioscientific issues to improve mental models of student ability on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions topic. This research method was quasi experiment with pretest posttest control group design.  The population of this research were all tenthgrade science students.  The sample was obtained by cluster random sampling technique, and the students of X IPA 3 were obtained as experiment class and X IPA 6 as control class.  The effect of socioscientific issues was analyzed by the differences of two average test and effect size test to mental models of student ability compared to control class.  The result showed that using socioscientific issues on learning had large effect to improve mental models of student ability.  Based on hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that learning using Socioscientific Issues has a large effect to improve mental models of student ability.Keywords: mental models, socioscientific issues learning, electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutionsPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran isu sosiosaintifik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan model mental siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.  Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest-postest control group design.  Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Pengaruh pembelajaran isu sosiosaintifik dianalisis menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata n-Gaindan uji effect size terhadap kemampuan model mental siswa dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis isu sosiosaintfik memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan model mental siswa.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan isu sosiosaintifik memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam meningkatkan model mental siswa.Kata kunci: model mental, pembelajaran isu sosiosaintifik,larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jppk.v8.i2.201908

Abstract

The importance of this research is to improve students' self-efficacy and mental models in distance learning. This research also has an achievement target in the form of interactive articulate storyline learning media. Objectives: the subjects were students of Chemistry Education University of Lampung 1st Semester. Students were divided into 2 classes, namely 1 (one) class with learning using articulate storylines and 1 (one) class with conventional online learning.  Methods: This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental design with a Pretest-posttest Static-Group Design. Several stages in this research are: the research preparation stage (literature review and device making), the classroom research stage, the data analysis stage and the final stage of drawing conclusions. The data obtained were analyzed through statistical methods. Findings: The results showed that distance learning using articulate storylines was able to increase students' self-efficacy and mental models. Abstract

The pre-experiment study with one group pretest-posttest design had been done in the 10th-4 grade at SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. This study was aimed to describe the practicality, effectiveness, and effect size of SiMaYang type II learning model to improve mental model and concept mastery on chemical bonding topic. The practicality was determined from implementation of lesson plan and students' responses to the implemention of learning. The effectiveness was determined by the activity of students during the learning, the ability of teacher in managing the learning, and improvement of students mental model and concept mastery. The effect size was determined by t test and effect size test. Results showed that the practicality and the effectiveness of SiMaYang type II were categorized on high, and the effect size of this learning model had a big criteria.Metode pre-eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design telah dilakukan di kelas X4 SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan, keefektivan, dan ukuran pengaruh model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II untuk meningkatkan model mental dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi ikatan kimia. Kepraktisan ditentukan dari keterlaksanaan RPP dan respon siswa terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Keefektivan ditentukan dari aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung, kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, ketercapaian dalam peningkatan model mental dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Ukuran pengaruh ditentukan dengan uji t dan uji effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepraktisan dan keefektivan Model SiMaYang tipe II berkategori tinggi, dan ukuran pengaruh dalam pembelajaran ini memiliki kriteria yang besar.Kata kunci: model mental, penguasaan konsep, SiMaYang tipe II, ukuran pengaruh

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the practicality and effectivity of SiMaYang Type II in acid-base topic. Population in this research was students of the 11th grade of through the MIA at SMAN 3 Bandar Lampung . The samples were the 11th grade of MIA1, MIA2, and MIA3 that were taken by using cluster random sampling. Quasi-experimental with one group pretest - posttest design was used as the method in this research. The practicality of SiMaYang Type II was known through implementation of lesson plans, students responses, teachers observation, and students activity for three classes that were classified as very high category. The effectivity of SiMaYang Type II was known increasing of self-efficacy for the samples that were high category. The value of n-Gain for the 11th grade of MIA1 was high category, and for 11th grade of MIA2 and MIA3 were medium category. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektivan SiMaYang Tipe II pada materi asam basa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung. Teknik pemilihan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling dan didapatkan sampel penelitian kelas XI MIA1, XI MIA2, dan XI MIA3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepraktisan SiMaYang Tipe II yang ditunjukkan melalui keterlaksanaan RPP, observasi guru, respon siswa dan aktivitas siswa untuk ketiga kelas berkategori sangat tinggi. Keefektivan SiMaYang Tipe II yang ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan efikasi diri berkategori tinggi dan n-Gain XI MIA1 berkategori tinggi, sedangkan kelas XI MIA2 dan XI MIA3 berkategori sedang.Kata kunci: asam basa, keefektivan, kepraktisan, SiMaYang

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop and describe validity and practicality of an interactive e-book based on chemical representation on buffer materials. Research was conducted using the method of Research and Development (RD). This research was conducted in 4 state high schools and 2 public high schools in Shouthern Lampung district. The teachers response data on the content suitability and attractiveness aspects were obtained by using a questionnaires and response data on the readability aspect were obtained by using questionnaire. In this research the validator gave an assessment to the aspects of construction, readabitily, suitability of content interactive e-book in a high category and is declared valid. The theacher responses and student responses are also categorized high and the result of this study indicate that in interactive e-book based on chemical representation on buffered solvent material developed is valid and practical.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dan kepraktisan e-book interaktif berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan penyangga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (RD). Penelitian ini dilakukan di 4 SMA Negeri dan 2 SMA Swasta di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dengan sumber data satu guru Kimia dan 20 siswa/siswi. Data respon guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi dan kemenarikan diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket dan data respon siswa terhadap aspek keterbacaan diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian ini validator memberikan penilaian untuk aspek konstruksi, aspek keterbacaan dan aspek kesesuaian isi e-book interaktif dalam kategori tinggi dan dinyatakan valid. Tanggapan guru dan tanggapan siswa juga berkategori tinggi berarti menunjukkan bahwa e-book interaktif berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutann penyangga yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan praktis.Kata Kunci: e-book interaktif, larutan penyangga, representasi kimia.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of Pre-Lecture Quiz to improving student’s creativity thinking skill on Arrhenius acid-base topic. The research method used was quasi experimental with non-equivalen pretest-postest control group design. The sample selection was done by cluster random sampling, obtained XI IPA 3 as experimental class and XI IPA 6 as control class. The effectiveness of Pre-Lecture Quiz was showed by the significant difference for average n-Gain of flexible thinking skill between the experiment and control class, for experiment class was 0.70 with high categorize and for control class was 0.48 with middle cateogorize. The conclusion of this research is effective Pre-Lecture Quiz and has a high effect size to improving the ability of creative thinking on Arrhenius acid-base topic.Keywords: creative thinking, Pre-Lecture Quiz, Arrhenius acid-base Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas Pre-Lecture Quiz untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi asam basa Arrhenius. Efektivitas Pre-Lecture Quiz ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, yaitu kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 dengan kategori “tinggi” dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,48 dengan kategori “sedang”. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu Pre-Lecture Quiz efektif dan mempunyai ukuran pengaruh yang besar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi asam basa Arrhenius.Kata Kunci: keterampilan berpikir kreatif, Pre-Lecture Quiz, asam basa Arrhenius
