Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas problematika pendidikan nilai dan karakter, bagaimana  harapan dan kenyataan yang terjadi dalam penerapan pendidikan nilai dan karakter dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan berupa kajian literatur yang dilakukan hanya berdasarkan karya-karya tulis ilmiah. Tujuan artikel ini untuk memberikan gambaran problematika pendidikan nilai dan karakter yaitu antara harapan dan kenyataan yang terjadi dalam bidang pendidikan. Hasil dari studi kepustakaan menunjukkan bahwa Harapan dari pendidikan nilai dan karakter adalah membentuk manusia yang berkarakter, bermoral, dan memiliki kemampuan untuk menghadapi tantangan hidup. Kenyataan akan penerapan pendidikan nilai dan karakter pada satuan pendidikan saat ini masih berada pada garis permasalahan yang memerlukan perhatian khusus bagi pemerintah, karena pengaruh globalisasi memberikan efek-efek negative bagi kehidupan generasi muda terutama pada tergerusnya akhlak peserta didik. Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of demonstration methods on the learning interest and creative thinking skills of fifth grade students in science subjects at SD Negeri 005 Palas. This study is motivated by the importance of learning methods to increase students’ active participation and develop creative thinking skills from an early age. The demonstration method was chosen because it allows abstract concepts to be presented concretely and attract students’ attention. This study uses a quantitative approach with a single case study. The subjects of the study were all fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 005 Palas who participated in science learning with the demonstration method. Data collection was carried out using a validated learning interest questionnaire and a creative thinking test. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and quantitatively to describe the level of students’ learning interest and creative thinking skills after being given treatment. The results of the study showed that students showed high learning interest during the demonstration learning process. They seemed more enthusiastic, focused, and actively asked questions during the activity. Furthermore, the results of the creative thinking test showed that students were able to produce original, flexible, and varied ideas. Thus, the use of the demonstration method has a positive influence on students’ learning interest and creative thinking skills in science learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji alat pemberi makan kucing otomatis berbasis Arduino yang dapat membantu pemilik hewan peliharaan dalam mengatur jadwal pemberian pakan secara teratur. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah kesulitan pemilik kucing dalam memberikan pakan tepat waktu akibat kesibukan atau ketidakhadiran di rumah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen dengan metode perancangan sistem berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Komponen utama yang digunakan meliputi Arduino Uno sebagai pengendali utama, sensor ultrasonik untuk mendeteksi ketersediaan pakan, motor servo untuk membuka dan menutup wadah pakan, serta LCD 1602 untuk menampilkan informasi. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap tiga komponen utama yaitu motor servo, sensor ultrasonik, dan LCD. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa motor servo mampu membuka dan menutup katup pakan secara stabil sesuai waktu yang telah diprogram dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100% dalam beberapa kali percobaan. Sensor ultrasonik mampu mendeteksi ketersediaan pakan di dalam wadah dengan akurasi pembacaan jarak yang konsisten sesuai batas yang telah ditentukan dalam sistem. Sementara itu, LCD 1602 dapat menampilkan informasi waktu pemberian pakan dan status ketersediaan pakan dengan jelas dan tanpa gangguan selama proses pengujian. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh komponen bekerja optimal sesuai dengan program yang telah dirancang. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa alat ini mampu bekerja secara otomatis dan efisien dalam memberikan pakan kucing sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Selain itu, sistem ini dapat menjadi solusi inovatif bagi pemilik hewan peliharaan dengan aktivitas tinggi agar tetap dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi kucing secara tepat waktu dan konsisten. Design of an Automatic Cat Feeding Device at Home Using Arduino Abstract This study aims to design and test an Arduino-based automatic cat feeder that can assist pet owners in managing feeding schedules regularly. The main problem addressed is the difficulty faced by cat owners in providing food on time due to busy schedules or absence from home. This research employs an experimental approach using an Internet of Things (IoT) based system design method. The main components used include an Arduino Uno as the primary controller, an ultrasonic sensor to detect feed availability, a servo motor to open and close the feed container, and a 1602 LCD to display information. Testing was conducted on three main components: the servo motor, ultrasonic sensor, and LCD. The results showed that the servo motor was able to open and close the feed valve stably according to the programmed schedule, achieving a 100% success rate in multiple trials. The ultrasonic sensor was capable of detecting feed availability inside the container with consistent distance measurement accuracy according to the predefined system thresholds. Meanwhile, the 1602 LCD successfully displayed feeding schedules and feed availability status clearly and without interruption during testing. These results indicate that all components functioned optimally in accordance with the designed program. The findings demonstrate that the device operates automatically and efficiently in dispensing cat food according to the predetermined schedule. Furthermore, this system can serve as an innovative solution for pet owners with high activity levels, ensuring that their cats’ nutritional needs are met in a timely and consistent manner.

Abstract

The main problem of this study is the presence of errors related to nahwu in the Arabic language textbook used by twelfth-grade students at MAN 2 Payakumbuh. This topic was chosen due to the importance of nahwu accuracy, as it significantly affects students’ understanding, particularly in terms of tarkīb and i‘rāb. This study aims to identify the types of nahwu errors found in the textbook, focusing on two main aspects: tarkīb and i‘rāb, and to analyze the factors contributing to these errors. The research employs a library research design with a qualitative approach, using content analysis techniques on sentences and language examples presented in the textbook. The findings indicate two major categories of nahwu errors, namely tarkīb errors and i‘rāb errors. A total of 13 errors were identified in the tarkīb aspect and 11 errors in the i‘rāb aspect. These errors are likely influenced by Indonesian language interference and the inaccurate application of nahwu rules. The study concludes that revisions and improvements to the nahwu content are necessary to ensure conformity with the rules of tandard Arabic (fuṣḥā).

Abstract

Quality public service is a manifestation of the government’s responsibility to fulfill community needs, particularly at the village level as the frontline of public service delivery. This study aims to examine the implementation of bureaucratic integrity and ethics in improving the quality of public services at the 27 Ilir Subdistrict Office, Ilir Barat II District, Palembang City. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation study, and literature analysis. The informants consisted of subdistrict officials and community members as service users. The findings indicate that the implementation of integrity and bureaucratic ethics at the 27 Ilir Subdistrict Office has been carried out effectively, as reflected in honest, disciplined, fair, and non-discriminatory service practices. Policies emphasizing clean, transparent, and levy-free services, along with the application of digital-based services, have contributed to improving service quality and public satisfaction. However, technical constraints such as internet network disruptions remain a challenge in online service delivery. Overall, this study concludes that bureaucratic integrity and ethics play a crucial role in enhancing public service quality and strengthening public trust in subdistrict officials, and therefore should be continuously reinforced and developed in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze policy alternatives for the development of ecotourism in Pinang Banjar Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency, by emphasizing the importance of stakeholder synergy as the foundation for policy implementation. The research focuses on identifying key problems and formulating the most feasible and implementable policy alternatives, particularly in addressing infrastructure limitations and the condition of policy vacuum, defined as the absence of specific policies at the regency level and the lack of integration of ecotourism development into regional planning documents such as the RPJMD and RIPPARD. This study employs a comprehensive policy analysis approach using the Patton and Sawicki model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving three key informants, namely local ecotourism managers. The analysis was conducted based on the criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, equity, political feasibility, and administrative sustainability. The findings indicate that weak stakeholder synergy is the primary factor hindering ecotourism development. This condition affects limited budget support, the absence of formal management institutions, low community capacity, and the lack of integration of ecotourism into regional development planning. These findings suggest that partial policy alternatives are insufficiently effective. Therefore, the most feasible policy alternative is an integrative approach that combines strengthening basic infrastructure, community empowerment through the establishment of Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis), enhancement of digital promotion, and integration of regional policies with improved stakeholder synergy. This recommendation is expected to serve as a reference for promoting inclusive and sustainable ecotourism development.

Abstract

Introduction: Among stroke survivors, psychiatric complications such as post-stroke depression (PSD) are common, affecting about a third of stroke survivors. Antidepressant therapy is regarded as the preferred approach for treating depression. However, it is important to study other treatments that can also be effective besides antidepressants. Further research is needed to review available studies regarding the management and treatment of post-stroke depression to reduce depression rates in post-stroke patients. Therefore, a systematic review was carried out on the treatment of depression in post-stroke patients. This study aims to identify the different types of post-stroke depression management. Methods: This systematic review was analyzed using the PRISMA-P 2015 method. A literature search was conducted from March 17 to 24, 2023, in electronic-based national and international databases, PubMed and ScienceDirect, with the keywords “Therapy” AND “Post-Stroke Depression” and “Management” AND “Post-Stroke Depression,” as well as additional journals from Google Scholar based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Based on the search results, 20 relevant articles met the criteria for analysis in this study. The analysis results show various effective interventions that can reduce depression rates in post-stroke patients, such as medical ministry logotherapy psychotherapy, transmagnetic stimulation therapy, exercise therapy, Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM), various types of acupuncture and electroacupuncture, light exposure sunlight therapy, cognitive and psychosocial behavioral therapy, music therapy, moxibustion therapy, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, and virtual-reality-based interventions, as well as herbal medicines and antidepressants. Conclusion: Treatment for patients with post-stroke depression varies, pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically.

Abstract

Speaking skill is one of the main challenges for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners, especially in rural areas with limited access to authentic communication and digital technology. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Duolingo application in improving the English-speaking skills of eighth-grade students at MTs Nurul Huda Al Maroniyah Sampang. This research employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design with a total of 30 students as participants. The research procedure consisted of a pretest, three weeks of treatment using Duolingo, and a posttest. The main research instrument was a speaking test that assessed five aspects: fluency, grammar and accuracy, pronunciation, vocabulary use, and comprehensibility, scored on a 1–5 Likert scale. Data from the pretest and posttest were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test via SPSS 25 to determine the statistical significance, and effect size was calculated to measure the magnitude of improvement. The results revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’ speaking skills (p = 0.000) with a very large effect size (r = 0.861). These findings indicate that Duolingo can be an effective, engaging, and practical tool for developing speaking skills in resource-limited educational contexts, particularly in rural Islamic junior high schools in Indonesia. Future studies are recommended to explore the combination of Duolingo with live speaking practice or compare its effectiveness with other mobile-assisted language learning applications.Keterampilan berbicara merupakan salah satu tantangan utama bagi siswa EFL (English as a Foreign Language), terutama di daerah pedesaan yang memiliki akses terbatas terhadap komunikasi autentik dan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas aplikasi Duolingo dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Huda Al Maroniyah Sampang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest dengan total 30 siswa sebagai peserta. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap pra-ujian, perlakuan menggunakan aplikasi Duolingo selama tiga minggu, dan pasca-ujian. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes berbicara yang menilai lima aspek, yaitu kefasihan, tata bahasa dan ketepatan, pelafalan, penggunaan kosakata, dan keterpahaman, dengan skala penilaian Likert 1–5. Data pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank melalui SPSS 25 untuk melihat signifikansi perbedaan, serta dihitung ukuran efek (effect size) untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berbicara yang signifikan secara statistik (p = 0,000) dengan ukuran efek yang sangat besar (r = 0,861). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Duolingo dapat menjadi alat yang efektif, menarik, dan praktis untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara di lingkungan pendidikan yang minim sumber daya, khususnya di madrasah tsanawiyah pedesaan di Indonesia. Disarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya mengeksplorasi kombinasi Duolingo dengan praktik berbicara langsung atau membandingkan efektivitasnya dengan aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi kesulitan belajar Bahasa Indonesia dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar melalui pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif. Metodologi penelitian kualitatif studi kasus memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang konteks tertentu melalui pendekatan deskriptif yang detail dan kontekstual. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam studi ini dapat mencakup wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen untuk memperoleh perspektif yang komprehensif. Selanjutnya, teknik analisis data dalam penelitian kualitatif studi kasus melibatkan proses pemahaman mendalam, pengkodean tematik, dan pembangunan naratif untuk menggali makna dan pola yang tersembunyi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (a)kesulitan belajar menulis masih belum tampak karena kurangnya latihan pada sistem motorik halusnya, (b)kesulitan belajar visual penglihatan masih belum tampak dikarenakan faktor menonton TV terlalu dekat, (c)jenis kesulitan membaca dipengaruhi oleh siswa tidak dapat memahami isi bacaan, (d)jenis kesulitan belajar auditori yang di pengaruhi oleh gangguan bising dari luar atau kelas sebelahnya yang mempengaruhi aktivitas belajar. Rekomendasi intervensi yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini mencakup pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan dukungan yang diperlukan dari guru, orang tua, dan lingkungan belajar, lebih lanjut penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman lanjut mengenai kesulitan belajar Bahasa Indonesia sekaligus menjadi landasan bagi pengembangan program pembelajaran yang responsif dan mendukung bagi siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan ini.
